Favorite park memory
SoCalCoasters replied to alilstronger's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Honestly, I'm going to hell for this comment... The opening day of Pirate Shores at Legoland California in June of 2006, right after school had gotten out. They had just finished placing the waterproof sealant (24 hours earlier?) and it was VERY slick. I watched as people slipped left and right, and I admit, it was funny to watch, and I was laughing my head off watching people go flying left and right, until I slipped...owowowowowowPAINow. Then, because of the massive amounts of slippage, they actually had to close the water area. On opening day. Fail. That ties with the time on the Rapids ride at SFDK. We were having a grand old time, and it came to the final turn, and we laughed because my cousin had gotten hit with a huge wave. As I laughed, we went by the water cannons (the pay per squirt) and got a giant mouthful of water. It was so bad it was funny. After coughing and spluttering of several minutes and yelling several death threats to those who soaked me, we went on our way. -

Uploaded Some New Files, but had trouble when unzipping some of the RCT2 parks. Whenever I try and unzip a RCT2 park, I get the error: cannot open file as archive I can load some regular RCT2 files, but I think some players are forgetting to mark the export button, Robb, you may want to post some kind of remincder on the upload screen about that. The three parks I uploaded: http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=1428 http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=1429 http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=1440

My First Time Ever Drawing A Mini Park! called "Sky Pier Park", it features three attractions: Cloud 9: An Intamin Vertical Lift Coaster, which has a pretzel loop through a hubless Ferris Wheel. Shoot To The Stars: An S&S Combo Tower Vapor: A Hubless Ferris Wheel in which Cloud 9 does two inversions. Hope you like it! -
Hello everyone! Welcome to my RCT3 Project Center. This will be the thread for my individual roller coaster projectects. First Project: Backdraft: A Maurer Sohne Slingshot Prototype This is my first project using CS, and so far I'm using: Moby's Steel Jungle, Steelworks, and Coasterfreak90's Steel Jungle Addon, and CoasterFreak's Megacoaster Connections. I'm trying to use Gadget's Coaster Goodies, but when ever I place it in my folder, it doesn't appear in-game...anyone know why? The coaster uses a slingshot technology engineered by Strateles (YouTube RCT3 Player) and uses Maurer's X-Cars. Elements: Airtime Tophat Massive Inclined Loop Zero G Roll Airtime Hill Loop On to the pics: Shot0271.bmp My first ever custom supports! Shot0272.bmp Here is the inclined loop. Shot0273.bmp The Zero G Roll Shot0274.bmp The Airtime Hill Shot0275.bmp The loop Shot0276.bmp The ending Shot0277.bmp here's how the launch works... The train launches foreward out of the station at about 20 MPH. it then roller back through the station and rolls over the chain and hits the 2 MPH Block Brakes, which slowly move it foreward on to the chain. The chain is set to about 80 MPH using the David Braben Cheat. This is how the train is able to "Slingshot" Shot0278.bmp Another look at the custom supports. Shot0279.bmp Overview. That's what I have for now, enjoy!

The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread
SoCalCoasters replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
...No...No...NO... I already HATE Avatar...And now the biggest disappointment of a movie I've seen is replacing...The most storied attraction I've been on in Universal... I understand that there's a new age of fans coming, but you NEED to preserve the older attractions! You lose half of the demographic that way! Unfortunately, Universal has a habit of replace rather than add...look at USH.. ET to Mummy, Backdraft & Special Effects to Transformers and other attractions over the years have gone the same way... -

Suprising Soakings
SoCalCoasters replied to Kingsislandfreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Splash Battle at Legoland California... It's one of those boats rides with mounted water cannons that usually gets you a little wet but nothing major... Unless you happened to be going by a giant water cannon hidden under the surface that erupts right as your boat passes... There are two of those cannons....both went off when our boat passed them...I was wet for the rest of the day...at 11:00 in the morning... -

I'm guessing it's the moving theater concept from Disney, used only on Universe of Energy's Ellen's Energy Adventure at Epcot. -
