  1. ^^Same. They've perfectly combined so many unique elements into a single ride. I really love the setup of the whole area, especially the placement of the reverse lift.
  2. ^^But is it even needed? You're using Paris here, not DL. Grizzly fits in with the California theme already. It's already quite different from BTMRR, and they could easily fit it into California Adventure where Redwood Challenge currently is... If you even mention modifying BTMRR you'll probably have 1,000,000 angry fanboys at your throat.
  3. What a contradiction. I'm sure that's what he meant to say.
  4. Just sayin. In all seriousness, I absolutely love how this turned out. It took all the elements of Big Thunder Mountian, added a little Expedition Everest and Rockin Roller Coaster (meaning the launch and since they are both Vekoma) and got this kick butt attraction.
  5. New Texas Giant = N + TA + G TA is the abbreviation for Texas that was used in the name. And on that photo: I really don't believe my eyes. That's an ungodly looking element, especially if the train hauls through it at a decent speed. Silver Dollar City is now a must see for 2013. I mean..wow.
  6. I submitted this beauty for the contest: Picture of Batman: The Ride at SFMM from WCB.
  7. ^The second that I heard it was Vampire that's what I thought of... But this time around it was an employee rather than an exceptionally Darwinist guest?
  8. Very sad to hear anytime there is a death. My thoughts go out to his family and to the park as they deal with this.
  9. Looking absolutely fantastic! You really are a K'nex coaster genius!
  10. Why not just classify it as what it is...and Inverted Overbank? Well, seeing as the official name giving to Takabisha's inversion is the "banana roll" anying is possible...
  11. I'll echo the thoughts above. The games Forum really started to go downhill in quality recently, and even though it's starting to resurge a bit, it's not there. These people spamming these updates make their parks constantly at the top and annoyingly active. CD5 had a great balance of doing a once a well update that contained everything going on, and it worked wonderfully. The other problem with these people spam updating their parks is (besides the lack of quality) the fact that it sends other projects which may have been updated only several hours earlier all the way down the page. Since most of the time members scan the top for new projects and don't scroll down is far. Many great projects are missed, and the projects representing the forum as a whole are not reflecting the actual quality. Unfortunately, the work of the few tends to be judged as the work of the many. And really, I haven't seen an in-depth new RCT3 park (besides Grrt's) that has blown me away in a long time. I used to be blown away all the time. I want to be surprised by work again.
  12. ^It's Techno Dude's set of Eurofighter CTRs. He did a set of about 8 different styles. A quick google search should find a download for them.
  13. ^He used a CTR created by a person known as Herverton. The CTR is no longer available due to an incident on another site. Parks is looking interesting. You might want to try to incorporate more use of Steelworx since you have it installed. The tunnels from Steelworx you could use on Greezed Lightning' would make them look quite snazzy.
  14. Yeah..I'll echo the others about the boomerang...those pitch black pieces aren't supposed to work as outside walls, only to darken the interior. Plus the theme and scenery has been used ten times over as well as the CTR. Try to put an interesting spin on the ride and try to maximize theming and ride-to-scenery interaction in order for it to really work and give it that wow feeling everyone loves to see in parks. Even calling it something like Flying Ace and giving it a kiddie Plane theme (to go along with your large wing coaster) would work quite well. The Jr. Boomerang is a tough ride to use because it's been used by everyone so many times. Come up with an original idea and it'll make the ride shine. Looking great other than that!
  15. That's a nice surprise....With the marketplace in all industries being infected by these knock off companies, it's nice to see that Ocean Kingdom is going for the real thing....
  16. ^Unfortunately it looks like the Supersplash is another Chinese knock off...But seeing as the concept art is never accurate you never know...
  17. ^Therin lies the issue with the movie. It's much too jarring of a departure. It doesn't at all feel like the first movie, a good sequel should take aspects built up by the first film then expand upon them. If they had shifted the focus of the movie to be more focused on Lightning's relationship with Mater, and then added the spy aspect in not as heavily, it would have worked much better. And like I said before, over-doing Mater was the death of his humor.
  18. If you want to you can also change the fence queue style and coloring as well as the colors of the path of you want any kind of queue variation. It's looking better every update!
  19. ^Not sure, but it looks like a pretty cool angle non the less! You can see the bridge shake a bit right before the train appears in the shot.
  20. In terms of the issue at hand of differing opinions, it may not have been the opinion itself, but rather the way it came across. The way the review was worded rather than the actual opinion. I found opinions on both sides to be very harshly worded, and this is probably what caused the whole incident. That's my take on the situation... In all honesty, no matter how it rides, the thing still looks pretty freaking awesome. Forceless or not, I'd still ride it over an SLC any day. And I think most people would agree.
  21. ^Spirit Tracks is light years better than Phantom Hourglass! I absolutely love the game. The visuals and the soundtracks alone are worth the price.
  22. Once again, Rename a peep David Walsh, then when it comes time to screen shot, press crtl + U and you menu bars will disappear. Our suggestions only help if you choose to follow them or explain why you aren't.
  23. The original Cars was a great story about not loosing yourself as you travel to the top, and about finding out what life is really worth living for. It was a really nice movie with great visuals and good humor. It had charm, class, and style. Cars 2 took everything built up by the first movie, tore it down and then went to Japan. what I mean is that the original movie felt like a Pixar movie. Within the first 5 minutes of Cars 2 you have cars killing other cars, cars with guns, cars with bombs etc. It in no way resembled the first movie. Moving the focus away from Lightning McQueen was only one of the problems. The best thing about Mater in the first movie was that he added a perfect amount of humor. His character wasn't overdone as it was in Cars 2. Also there's the just the content...it's just a cliqué spy story filled with a bunch of pretty CGI locations. There was no charm, the story was ridiculous, the amount of violence was insane for a G movie (How in the world did they manage to stick in a torture scene and still land a G rating!?). It didn't fit Cars at all. That's why I didn't like it. Not to mention...very little racing actually goes on...it's a Spy movie..it just doesn't work... I've come to find that Pixar films centering around 1-2 main locations tend to turn out much better. It forces them to expand the story around the location, rather than just shuffling around the world....
  24. And that's probably why it won't be allowed...didn't Rockit originally have problems with its lift hill banner coming loose because of wind?
  25. Finally Uploaded my footage/review: Legoland has a winner on their hands. Pirate Reef is the real water attraction myself and many other felt was lacking from the original Pirate Shores Expansion that opened in 2006. This brand new 10 million dollar Hopkins Jr. Shoot the Chutes attraction tells the tale of two rival Pirate Bands engaged in battle on the stormy Pirate Reef. The theming is some of the best on any of Lego's attractions and features quite a few figures (including the Pirate Captains Redbrick and Blue Brick in two locations). The ride itself features two Pirate Boats on either side of the splashdown. These boats serve as the exit for the attraction. Guests can board the attraction from both the water park and the regular park. If you have a season pass, I recommend going over to the water park in a swimsuit as the ride waits are often shorter, and you get absolutely drenched. Yes! Even for its rather small stature Pirate Reef gets you ridiculously wet! There were signs warning guests of the experience all around the queue line, and they aren't kidding. The track has two boats, one that is used for guests from the water park, and one that is used for the guests in the normal park. This system works quite well. The exit, as a result of the dual boarding, is split in half, with one half of each boat being used for water park and the other half used for normal park. You get a great view from the lift hill of the ride, and there's speakers playing music all the way around the turn before you plunge in a rather decent sized drop into the water below. Go check out Pirate reef if you have the opportunity to! Arrrrr you ready?
