I talked to you in chat about this earlier.... While I'd love to see FSMP reopen as a new park, the plan you have presented just doesn't seem feasible. Those 30 rides you were planning on adding? An Intamin EMV on its own can cost up to 50 MILLION. Most of those attractions are way beyond the budget of a park restoration program. Heck, at this point it may take 10-20 million just to get the park fully back up and running with the needed modifications (ie Removal of Mini Cooper Design from Round About) and no new attractions. You're talking about tearing out Monstars and once again using Nights in White Satin. That's a waste. Why destroy what is likely to be the ride in the best condition? Animals are all nice and well, but they require enormous amounts of infrastructure. You need zookeepers and staff to be constantly maintaining the exhibits, even in the off season where east coast winters hit pretty hard. Staff are required 24/7. That's a monumental cost, especially for a starting out park. Going back to attractions: those that are there, able to operate, and are well themed should be kept. There's no need to throw away valuable property and attractions so willy-nilly! As of now, this just seems very pipe dream-ish, even of it does appear -slightly- more professional than most of these dreamed up scenarios....

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
SoCalCoasters replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think we should start calling it Thigh Rush. -
That's really not a very accurate statement... Yes, each company uses a triangular style shaping for some of their coaster's track, but they're not the same. Each company engineers their rides differently. B&M and Intamin both used a box-style track shaping for their rides, but they were not the same in terms of engineering. If you look at each company's coasters, you'll see quite a few differences.

The "Preview" Thread

^At this point I'd say you need to focus a bit more on the quality of the park and the scenery. It looks a bit sparse and rushed. Haven't touched RCT3 in around a month, then I built this today. Shot0852 (Copy).bmp Classic Schwarzkopf Looper -
Verbolten [RCT3]
SoCalCoasters replied to coasterfreak96's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Brandon of Shyguys World is currently working on a Verbolten CTR...you might just want to try to refine your layout and then then when he releases the CTR build the full thing. The layout does need a lot of work -
Yeah. I think it would be cool if they could do some kind of permanent integration with this type of thing. It would be pretty cool to have Hollywood look completely normal during the day, but then at night have them use those special prespective projectors that would make the buildings and scenery come alive without having to make any major changes. Not only would it look great, but it could also be changed/modified relatively easy by reanimating the projectors and redoing costumes rather than redoing all this massive gaudy scenery...

Chuck's Busch Gardens Williamsburg Thread

I'm not quite sure If the LSM launches are blocks on Verbolten... With Cheetah Hunt (which also uses LSMs) there's a small section of track before each launch that acts as a block. LSMs are a bit different than LIMs. LSMs (correct me if I'm wrong) need the train to be already slightly moving when it enters the launch in order for it to accelerate. They don't launch from a standstill like LIMs do. Sky Rocket, Cheetah Hunt, and Verbolten all have little "kickstarts" or pushes before actually hitting the launch. Looking at Verbolten it doesn't seem like there's any block breaks immediately before the first launch or after the tiny exit drop in the second launch... Keeping that in mind I am not sure if they can act as actual blocks on Verbolten...however in the event of a rollback, what happens? That's the one thing that sort of invalidates my theory... Can anyone verify whether or not they act as block breaks? EDIT: Upon further examination, it does appear as if both launches could act as block breaks, buit I am still curious to know whether or not they can re-launch the train from the LSM block without a kickstart... -
I actually like the audio on X2, it makes the lift a lot more enjoyable, especially since they play Enter Sandman. I was actually looking forward to it during WCB. The fire/flamethrower may seem like a "meh"element during the day, but at night it really does create a big flash & WOW moment since most of X2 is shrouded in darkness. Overall I think most people prefer X2's audio to Bizarro's anyway, so why complain about it? I don't remember too many people complaining when they first re-opened it.

I wasn't quite sure what to think of Mad T Party initially, but the concept art did show potential. Seeing it now however... Blech.... I don't like it at all.The execution seems very iffy. With ElecTRONica they were able to blend sort of the Hollywood "city" motif with the futuristic TRON elements qite well. Not so here...with another TRON movie slated to be debuting in a few years I hope they'll decide to bring back ElecTRONica. Far more appealing.

^That may be the most blatant movie ripoff I've ever seen. I'm definitely going to see this!
