  1. Wow, I totally forgot, I used to be like that too! Anything that sounded like some sort of disaster got me in the basement. One time there were a bunch of low flying jets (I don't remember why, but they weren't supposed to be flying low, thousands of people in my city called 911), but there's my brother who wants to run onto the porch to see, and me who's headed to the basement. And although I did mention it before, now I'm more inclined to explain my story of seeing one. We were hiking Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan, we we had almost made it to the lake when this girl comes screaming down past us from a dune, yelling random things like "A long funnel spout!" and "learned about it in science class!" She was really losing it. It had gotten awfully gray out, so we kind of wonderingly went to the top of the dune where the girl was, and saw the waterspout out over the lake. We continued closer to the shore, and stood watching it until it was mostly gone. I never felt threatened by it, it was a ways off shore, it wasn't raining or anything where we were. There was a tiny boat that looked like it went right through it. It was really cool, being the only ones out there in the silence just watching it. -Nick
  2. Thanks for that, I haven't heard much for this, Darien Lake needs to do some updates or something. I've never been back by the pools, is there a path to them from behind Boomerang or just Twister? If there isn't, I wonder if they'll build one to make a loop. And ^^, As long as it's not a Saturday lines shouldn't be horrible. And the coasters are decent, IMO. Viper is quite smooth and fun for an old arrow, Boomerang isn't terribly rough, neither is Mind Eraser. Predator can be pretty horrible but it's worth a ride and in some cases two. Superman's quite obviously the best thing there, though somewhat rattly. Any more specific questions just ask. -Nick EDIT:Oops, I'm still used to calling it Superman. I mean "Ride of Steel".
  3. Does anyone have any idea where in the park this will be going? The PARC site really isn't very helpful. I'm really looking forward to trying this out and seeing how PARC runs the place in it's first full year of operating it. -Nick
  4. Does anybody have any idea if/when this will come out on PS2? I have every other GTA game for it and I'd hate to not have this one. I still might have to get it on 360 though and make my brother keep his home from college.
  5. I have a question: That one picture where the caption something like "you better be looking up", the supports don't really look bolted into the footers. I noticed this on Maverick too before it was open. Do they keep the bolts on the footers loose until the track is complete, and then tighten them all at once?
  6. This has actually made it sound worse. Especially since you have not lived through these things that means that your area is pretty isolated from them. So are you hoping that maybe a tornado can go right through the area your niece lives, that way it will really get the blood pumping. Imagine live news and the fear of losing a loved one, should be great for the old heart. I'm assuming what he's trying to say is these things can be exciting, but if there aren't people being hurt. I mean, there are things I think would be cool to see, it'd be cool to see a plane blow up, or a roller coaster crash. That doesn't mean I want people on or anywhere near them being injured. It's just something alone that would be a spectacle to see. I don't think anyone would actually be fine with people's lives being endangered for a news story, if so then nevermind. Just trying to clarify an assumed point of view. -Nick
  7. The only downhill biking I've done is 35 miles down from the top of Haleakala, the tallest dormant volcano in the world, on Maui. It was a paved road though . But for a while we were riding way above a blanket of clouds so it was pretty wicked.
  8. Yes. I could go on about why but if a yes will do then there you go. -Nick
  9. You should definitely go drag queen.
  10. I used to Loooove tornadoes, but was also really afraid of them. Then I got pretty close to one out in the middle of nowhere in Michigan, and it was really cool and not all that intimidating from where we were. -Nick

  15. I was always attracted to guys, just sort of realized what it was by maybe 8th or 9th grade. Even through middle school I was never attracted to girls, thought I might be gay but wouldn't admit it to myself, I thought it was a phase. Then I realized what no girl attraction + guy attraction meant. -Nick
