Photo TR: Opening Day Krake at Heide Park
odene497 replied to Hhappy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great pictures, Hanno! This looks like a solid little investment. I almost like the look of the smaller trains better, it'd be cool to see B&M branch out with their elements on these given the more maneuverable cars. -

Thanks for the photos, Chuck. The shot from the tower really shows the difference well. It's almost bizarre looking. Hopefully the changes can please all. I'll plan on making the drive down for the new version next year, once Busch Gardens' new attractions are open as well. -

This looks amazing. And was also an element floating around in my head for a while. Between this, or a regular tophat that twists inwards. Sucks it's at Fuji-Q. -

I've always wondered how other companies would tackle rotating seats if they decided to. Perhaps an onboard computer system that controls them electronically. But I also think that could get really problematic. -

Great pictures Joey! I'm really interested in seeing all this stuff as I might be going to Paris this summer. I've also heard some negative reviews, that it smells bad, people are rude, etc...I think my biggest fear is just not knowing more than like 3 french words, I've gotta read up! The Eiffel Tower looks insane from some of those perspectives, hopefully I'll get to experience it! -Nick -
Cruising with Theme Park Review - Feb 2011
odene497 replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
These pictures make me want to go on a cruise again so bad. I loved our Royal Caribbean Alaskan cruise in 2004. But this ship is insane. Definitely moved up my list. And what's on the "better than regular sex" salad that makes it better than regular sex? I'm not a huge salad person but will enjoy one now and then. I just can't tell what those big chunks are. -
Photo TR: Denver - Elitch Gardens and Lakeside
odene497 replied to coasterferg's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great little TR! I feel like I always hear about Elitch's but don't really have much of an idea of the park as I don't go out of my way to research it. I had no idea they had an Arrow shuttle, I've always wanted to try one. And I don't think I had any idea of that Lakeside park's existence. I LOVE those drop towers. They are definitely super intense, with their little flat seat and very basic restraint. The drop is just so fast, and they don't seem to stop until you're just feet from the ground. Easily my favorite type of tower. -

Photo TR: Hanno joins the Middle America Trip
odene497 replied to Hhappy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Beautiful pictures Hanno! I enjoyed this park. Renegade was excellent, and I personally really liked Corkscrew. While Wild Thing was the least favorable of the Morgan Hypers I've been on, it still helped to round out the park's collection. Such a nice day. -
Awesome pictures Ross! I've always wanted to go here, but unfortunately Africa isn't on my upcoming itinerary. Maybe in a few years.

Mitch Hawker 2010 poll
odene497 replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hades would probably be in my top 5 if it was smoother. The airtime was ridiculous, and I was really surprised by all that goes on underground. But again, it was just "too" rough for me to want to ride it over and over, even though I regard it as a good ride. I would've liked a few more rides on Avalanche but the Skyscraper people were horrifically slow. Edit: It's Hellcat now? Unaware. -
Right before my turn someone got it caught on the chute, and it was like some of the cord came lose, the claw wouldn't lift up. Luckily there was one person in front of me who sort of had to drag it around, and by my turn it still didn't seem at it's full height but was at least lifting. Was right around a big clear ball, but no luck.

That's really such an excellent spot for flying swings. It should definitely provide some good views of the lake and Ravine Flyer II. The park is a bit small and far for a trip in itself (about 4 hours from me), but after my rides on Ravine Flyer a few months ago, It's absolutely worth it. The park is full of charm and has a beautiful location. I can't wait to go back and see their new, continuously well rounded collection of rides. -

This is really cool. Looks very nice and easy to use, it'll be nice to have all this info in one place. Awesome job! Can't wait to see it completed.
