  1. the new "piece" of the puzzle says something about 130. My guess would be a 130 foot water slide of some sort, although just a speed slide sounds a little boring. Hopefully it will be a new water coaster?
  2. The only terrifying moment I have ever experienced on a roller coaster was on Tatsu's Pretzel loop. Most terrifying moment ever.
  3. I agree, especially with the last part. I'm guessing the Point will get a GCI more in Demon Drop's former location that will go onto the parking lot to the beach side, since I doubt there's room on the boardwalk without making to much noise as to bother hotel guests. With MaXair, the re-development of the boardwalk has already started. Maybe we'll also see them finally do something with Disaster Transport.
  4. I still don't get why people call them "flat rides"... this is taller than most roller coasters! I'm really excited for the whole lot! I especially like the Point's version's location.
  5. /\true... but I305 isn't the tallest roller coaster in the world, unlike what this claims to be.
  6. definitely a hoax. I highly doubt Cedar Fair would add anything of this stature to any park other than Cedar Point.
  7. The red roller coaster looks very intense actually. It looks like a pimped out RipRide Rockit. Is it manufactured by Maurer Söhne?
  8. Probably Thunder Mountain at Disneyland, Anaheim. I would have said Space Mountain, but I couldn't ride it for 2 years when it closed for the refurbishment.
  9. Universal Studios Hollywood has a few characters come out and pretends that the opening of the park is a scene for an up-coming movie. A "director" comes out to support the scene. Magic Kingdom apparently has some characters come out on the train station and sing and dance. Disneyland has a little spiel that comes up. That's all I know for sure.
  10. Those were some surprisingly smooth transitions! I didn't realize 45 degree baked downward turns were possible in rct3. Fantastic layout.
  11. I was looking through an interview with Dick Kinzel the other day, and unless I am misinterpriting this, he is saying the next ride will not be a roller coaster: is he talking about next year's thrill ride, or STR?
  12. Here's my unrealistic hope: New cars with stadium seating and on ride audio. Hydraulic launch to go faster quicker. Newly themed fortress of solitude. GIANT superman audio animatronic at the top of the hill that battles with the guests to fend off some contrived enemy (bizzaro?). The track and line would be rerouted so there is one loadstation on the right, the cars launch up the right tower to see superman (see above) then race back through the station and slow down. The cars go behind the station onto a trick track where guests could see a mini show projected on the screen while on the turntable ala spiderman. The cars then launch backwards through mist, sorbs and other effects, outside and on the left track then back down where the track switches at the bottom straight away into a giant sweeping curve around the entrance area, before diving into a downward break section into the fortress of solitude, then a turntable, and back into the station. The ride could probably run a total of three cars since. It would be a full circuit Obviously the last few of the list is very unlikely but it still would be neat
  13. If you search "enfilm"'s photo stream on Flickr you'll find hundreds of blueprints of nearly every Disney ride.
  14. REALLY reminds me of Knex the way they have all the track done but now they are butting on the wire-y knex like track.
  15. I'm not sure how you quote pictures... but I totally saw that guy on Indiana Jones Before! LOL! He posts on "Micechat." Awesome trip report. I enjoyed all the people... and Thunder.
  16. I would say Cat in the Hat fits the description of a small [family] dark ride. I agree with you but they need another. Disney has like 6. --Jay well theres also MIB-AA and ET in the Studios. I believe it is Quality, not Quantity.
  17. I would say Cat in the Hat fits the description of a small [family] dark ride.
  18. Busch Gardens is a beautiful park with great theming, and more unique rides. (tallest inverted coaster, Floorless Dive, DarKastle) Hersheypark is a classic park with a very nice feel to it--and lots of candy. Plus it has more roller coasters. I agree, you can't go wrong with either of those two.
  19. I live 10 minutes Disneyland, 20 for knotts Knotts, hour from USH, and a little over an hour for Sea World and Magic Mountain. I love my home parks, I go to Disneyland about twice a month.
