  1. I'm afraid so. I did have a conversation with a certain someone at WCB who said Tatsu is in the cards for a paint job, but that could mean next year or the year after that. The park unfortunately isn't alone in making that decision.
  2. ^ That's the first thing that came to mind when I heard it was coming down. Couldn't be happier if it turns out to be true.
  3. ^^ Well in all fairness the park may be cutting back where they can. There is NO way a park that gets as hot as SFMM does could get by with no water rides or waterpark. Come on now...
  4. It's funny watching everyone go Gaga over a potential T-Rex, when all I care about is who is getting that first Raptor design! That thing looks incredible. Bigger isn't always better.
  5. Considering it was a worthless queue before the restoration, I doubt it. I mean, yeah, they're repainting and getting new trains, but I seriously doubt the ride is going to pull lines again. At least not past the first few weeks. What are you talking about? It's got a blue loop now!!!!
  6. I have to say, when TC is running three trains, it's easily the most pleasant queue to wait in the the entire park. Even brisker than Viper. No more Full Throttles or Green Lanterns please. This should be the standard of every coaster they build going forward.
  7. They're having problems with the orange train.
  8. Or maybe just change the MCBR so that it does not bring the train to a complete stop, and bring it back to the awesomeness it was when it first opened? Except, even with the brake off, that flat, airless second half is still terrible. I'll take the redesign.
  9. I really like Goliath up until the camel back. I hope sometime in the future the second half of the ride gets some sort of redesign.
  10. I'm in my 40s now, and sometimes I can go just like I used to, other times I have to take a break. My biggest problem for some reason are B&M looping coasters. They really mess with my stomach. But I can ride other manufacturers all day long, and I can flat out marathon on RMCs. My doctors also says that as you age, certain foods simply must be avoided before riding (mainly acidic drinks like Coffee and Orange Juice), and a good night's sleep is a must.
  11. If Ghost Rider and Gwazi are any indication of the sun's effect on the coast woodies, Apocalypse's current condition isn't really surprising.
  12. ^ Not odd at all for me. Wicked Cyclone and Medusa, also smaller rides, hang in quite nicely with rides two and three times their size. I expect Joker will be much the same.
  13. Most curious about The Joker. This is the sleeper ride Imo. The first RMC/GCI twister.
  14. When the SFMM thread outclasses the CP thread, you know we're in for a long winter...
  15. No; it became a disfigured oval of track. Two identical (very close to, in reality) sides you must bear through twice No, it became a better ride with less wasted, boring track. That is an absolute joy to experience twice. Try it sometime, you'll see.
  16. ^ And with good reason. The ride had become a gigantic pile of wasted track. RMC got rid of all of that, thank God.
  17. Yeah, I find Full Throttle vastly superior to Superman as Premier launchers go.
  18. I'd have to put Twisted Colossus in my top 5 drops because...well, it happens Twice! And the green slightly better in the front because of the hang time.
  19. A few weeks ago, stuck on Twisted Colossus blue lift for 10 minutes. They reset the lift and off we went...only to then get stuck on the green lift. Funny, people thought it was part of the ride, until we had to evac down the lift hill.
  20. My favorite coasters have changed a bit in the last few weeks. Welcome back both X2 and Tatsu! 1) Skyrush 2) Medusa :Steel Coaster 3) Maverick 4) El Toro 5) New Texas Giant 6) Wicked Cyclone 7) Twisted Colossus 8) X2 9) Voyage 10)Tatsu And apparently, I prefer steel over wood by 10 to 1.
  21. Agreed. The last thing on my mind when this was announced was trims. I want to ride Revolution without OTSR. Enthusiasts always want trim less rides, but we're not the ones that deal with these rides day to day and the effects they have on the average guest.
  22. Reposting this in case people missed it: ("For the following blue train means train on the blue track, etc.) In the morning the problem causing the blue train to go over first wasn't mechanical, it was computer. Our backstage tour guide told us there was a computer software problem causing the green train to not catch up with the blue train. He said they shut down the rideat about 2pm to correct the problem and we noticed it was syncing perfectly afterwards while we were on the second tour at 3:15. For those who didn't go on the backstage tours it was explained that the blue lift is a static speed and doesnt change; it's the green lift that is variable and attempts to catch up with the blue lift. There are numerous proximity sensors on the lift and if when the green train enters the lift it sees that the blue train is close enough to be caught, then it speeds up accordingly; if it senses no blue train or the blue train is too far to catch, then it doesn't try. He said the ride ops dont have to specifically dispatch the train at a specific time, they just have a general window in which to dispatch so that the green train is capable of catching the blue one".
