  1. ^^ Agreed. I find Six Flags coaster names at least have a kitschy sense of fun to them.
  2. I've heard from various "sources" that some of the trees around Revolution will be removed to provide a better view of the ride from the plaza area. Hmmmm...wonder why they'd do that...?
  3. ^ Yeah I'd love to see 30 million dollar giga coasters added to every single SF park in the next 5 years. Good thing I'm not running the company. lol
  4. I thought the same after my first ride on WC, but rode it later in the day and it was hauling A$$. Its much better than TC once it warms up lol. I think a warmed up Wicked Cyclone is the better ride also. For me Wicked Cyclone is more intense and relentless, while TC is more "fun".
  5. ^ Yep. My days of complaining about things I cannot control are LONG OVER. I will have a great time and hopefully meet some new friends along the way. I know these events give us access to major amounts of ERT that we normally wouldn't come close to and I love that! However that's just a part of it for me. The real fun is being around like mined people having a great time. So regardless of which rides end up being closed or down for the day, you won't hear one peep out of me.
  6. ^ I would love that! Perfect fit for either the Screampunk District or Cyclone Bay.
  7. Yeah, so if the BIGGEST announcement of the year means the yearly chain wide announcement, I wouldn't get excited about SFMM's , after getting TC this year. Hopefully we finally get a decent flat.
  8. Yes, unless one of a few other things happened: 1) New non-PTC trains are part of the rehab as well 2) Knott's decides to seriously scale back Ghostrider's operating season (maybe to around 200 days from the 300+ it's at now) 3) Lots and lots of trims Let's hope one of the first two is the solution... Very true. I agree with Robb that the ride needs an off season, 2 or 3 months of yearly maintenance. Trouble is, how do you explain that to people who just won't get it?
  9. ^ Yeah I wonder if that's chain wide, rather than one specific park. Then again, the last SFMM e-mail I got stated a *BIG* announcement was coming. But that could be taken so many ways. I wouldn't get excited just yet. Funny there are usually strong rumors by now, even if it's just something like Superman going backwards. But nothing this year.
  10. ^ Very true. But if they announce any sort of restoration of Revolution (I'm hearing rumors), this will be *MY* announcement of the year.
  11. I'm not sure a track restoration would be enough. Wouldn't it just get rough again in a few years due to the conditions it runs under?
  12. Duh... It's going to be called "California's Great American Roar".
  13. I don't find Apocalypse rough or painful, but it has gotten awfully shaky, almost like a wooden coaster twice it's age. It's startling, because just two years ago it ran like butter. I'm not sure what the issue is, but I hope it's fixed on the off season. When it's running well, the ride is a joy.
  14. Perhaps the next batch of JL:BFM will have a coaster section...
  15. Yeah, we need more than one conformation of this.
  16. You're probably right lol. Still, I don't think Bay area local enthusiasts will care much once this beast is announced.
  17. Eh, LR looks better than all the other RMCs combined, so that won't be a very fair comparison.
  18. I can't wait to see what they're going to do wit that first drop and turn around!
  19. ^ That's always an option, but be careful what you wish for. Because as soon as it's announced that its Ninja being removed, the complains will be massive.
  20. ^ I don't believe they do. However, there is also an area to the right of Apocalypse that can also be used. And let's not forget, the park can also build up and over things, and this they can do until the end of time really. Look at how Tatsu went in.
  21. ^ I figured since I was drunk, I should probably double check what I wrote. So yeah, Flat Rides! lol
  22. There is nothing wrong with this Dive coaster...at all. Man CP fans can be so spoiled. You get the ride MF, Maverick, TTD... And now this? This will be an all star line up. I'm baffled as to how anyone could be disappointed by this.
