  1. In terms of efficiency no. But it might have helped with the weird sensor problems the ride is having, where there are so many that even one corruption will shut down the whole ride.
  2. ^ Well, Six Flags were the ones that didn't want to pay for two loading stations, leading to a more complicated system then they seem prepared to handle. Might be a situation where we some off season changes made to the ride.
  3. Goliath at SFGam had a lot of downtime last year, and so far this year also.
  4. ^TC has had all sorts of sensor problems since it opened. Might take awhile to sort it all out.
  5. Intamin Mega-lites are perfect.
  6. ^ Yeah I agree. A Dive coaster, even if it's not the most intense, rip your face off with Gs experience, would really round out CPs line up nicely. I mean they would have almost everything! And what a terrific collection of B&Ms at that. I can't wait to see what CP does with the dive concept, and already hoping it's a big hit so that Knotts is next on the list!
  7. I think it simply comes down to cost. I think that may be the reason we're not seeing very many Intamins built in the US at the moment. Amusement parks are still in cost cutting mode. Certainly Six Flags is.
  8. The last thing SFMM needs is another giant loop! lol
  9. A Justice League dark ride to follow up TC would be absolutely amazing, so amazing that I can't imagine it happening.
  10. OMG!!! I really hope they go with the dueling Super Loop concept!
  11. Perhaps a wheel change/problem? Not surprising for a new RMC.
  12. Nope, they always do that. The "real" attraction is hidden in there. They mainly want opinions in names and theming.
  13. ^ Not just WC, but I've also heard it happens with NTG and Iron Rattler. So I guess that would be a yes. I'm not sure why that is, but it sounds very close to the temperamental tendency of wooden coasters.
  14. Does height or length hurt Lightning Run? No it doesnt.
  15. This idea that families don't ride roller coasters together seems a bit overstated. My recent visit to SFNE showed otherwise as Wicked Cyclone's queue was packed with excited families. That's the thing, most families visiting a SF park expects plenty of thrills to go along with more traditional family fare.
  16. ^ Not GR actually. But a retracking of another rough woodie in a park RMC just worked with.
  17. I saw this on Twitter as well. Good find. Interesting as I am now hearing rumors of 2 RMC projects in California for next year.
  18. For me, Wicked Cyclone is a top 10 coaster easily. Currently I have it at 7, with Fury 325 just above it. I honestly can't figure out where I would rank Twisted Colossus yet. It's such an oddly awesome coaster.
  19. Roar has the perfect layout for an RMC twister. The ride has tons of crossovers , and I'm picturing quite a sick twisted first drop.
  20. There is nothing EVER wrong with trying to make a coaster better.
  21. ^ Rode in the front twice in a row last week, and actually came off with bruises on my legs from those double ups. Loved it.
  22. Not sure if anyone will agree or not, but I have found my money seat on Twisted Colossus. Row 6, left seat. It's rare that the best rides on a coaster is the middle of the train, and I will agree that the best first drop seat is the very back, best airtime seat is the very front. The the middle of the train offers the best overall ride for me. Anyone else agree?
  23. ^ Agreed. And I happen to think guests will be very excited with a S&S free spin. Especially if it's the larger version. Everything I've heard about Batman has been that it's a great ride.
