  1. Actually, the price sounds about right to me. It's outdated technology, an eyesore and takes a lot of upkeep to keep running effectively. If it is indeed that price, someone obviously wants to get rid of it and fast! It's not like any "new owners" (as Robb says), are going to be the least bit concerned over what it cost to build, that's not their problem. Besides, imo S:TE is the reason we got stuck with Goliath rather than an Intamin hyper! TAER IT DOWN!
  2. For me anyway, PGA is just an airtime coaster away from being a very good park. It's still beautiful, and it's got a family core that the so-cal thrill parks fail at imo. Throw in a dark ride, 2 or 3 more flats, and more waterpark expansions, and to me it could easily be a great park.

  4. Wow...all I can say is, wow. I was so impressed back in May when Tatsu opened. I almost want to cry... these are some of the last images we'll have of this park and...ugh. And next year at this time, it's entirely possible we'll have "Fort" Knott's and cash cow Disney to choose from. Thank God I'm moving to Florida next year. This is just sad.
  5. Wow... and this will all be a distance memory very soon. Hey, at least Great America has a chance at that Intamin now, and I won't care what happens to SFMM!
  6. I will add as well, Rob, you and Elissa did a fantastic job. We had such a great time and Tatsu rocked! I am indebted to you guys for getting us the camp out and early Tatsu rides. Can't thank you guys enough!
  7. Most people are basing their opinions on the last coaster game frontier was involved with. I myself will take a wait and see approach. It may be the same company behind the game, but an entirely different group of creators. Besides, any game that I don't have to waste computer space on, or upgrade my system, is fine with me.
  8. Riiight... LOL! Pardon me if I don't buy that for a second. Why the heck would some employees in another country know what CP would be building? And I love how you qualified your nonsense buy adding, "a park called Cedar Point". As though they would care enough to remember the name of a park that means nothing to them. Nice try. And my point was not that a flume and an Auqatrax are in anyway similar. Read what I posted again.
  9. This "Aquatrax" rumor has gotten out of control. CP took out a very popular water ride, why the heck would they add another? Why not just leave the old one. I just don't see an Aqua anything at CP. Intamin water 'type' thrill rides and Cedar Fair do not a happy marriage make, cough Perilous Plunge cough cough.
  10. Well, MF really makes an irritating sound as it rounds the final overbank into the brakes. It sounds like someone smashing a bunch of metal together.
  11. Tremors... Brilliant opening sequence involving tunnels.
  12. I so agree... while I freely admit that the "gang element" does fit a certain discription, most of the foul language, trash and tagging of coaster queues comes from teenagers of all races left to their own devices. Anyone who thinks otherwise has some "other" agenda going on. But I do think it's about upping the season pass sales. It's a perceived value that they'll collect on, regardless if people return more than once or not. I'd imagine we'll see another SP increase later this spring.
  13. Oh, just when you think things can't get worse, they CAN. Let's hope that doesn't happen, Snyder obviously isn't going through all this just to continue down the same spiraling path that Burke&Co were headed. But I hope there is a long-term plan in the works to fix the parks. Making a quick buck at the expense of customers isn't the way. I hope he surrounds himself with people who know what they're doing. He's obviously a daring business man, but he doesn't know a thing about amusement parks.
  14. I have heard those decisions ( lab bars/OTSR) are made on a case by case basis. Revolution had lab bars until people started reporting getting whiplash from the ride. People also weren't following the rules and leaning forward and out the side of the train. You know, the same crap they do on Gold Rusher.
