  1. Absolutely. In a year the park decides to add their next coaster. That could be 2017, but it also could be the year after. For all we know, Six Flags could consider New Revolution a coaster addition, meaning they'd be on course for 2018, not next year.
  2. Would be great, I don't see it. When's the last time SF spent that kind of capitol on one park? And I've seen nothing to indicate that is changing anytime soon. I'd love to be wrong (who wouldn't want a T-Rex)? But I don't think I am.
  3. If you go back several pages, there are hints all over the place about what's going in that area. From folks who would know. But you don't have to believe it. We're less than two weeks away from an official announcement, and then we'll all know. Until then, go ahead a speculate about whatever you want. I'm just saying, don't get your hopes up for that giga coaster just yet!
  4. Well thankfully, they are not. No matter what a few people on the internet think.
  5. The justice league characters will never be irrelevant (Batman and Superman are American icons), and the interactive aspect of the ride will help keep people coming back. I would love to see a solid dark ride at SFMM. My biggest dream is a terrain giga through the hills in back, but I know it's just a dream. Agree with This!
  6. ^ I don't completely disagree with any of this. But you know this is a one off don't you? Just like Drop Of Doom was. SFMM will be back to building bare ass coasters right after this, so I'm going to enjoy this dark ride, which has gotten nothing but stellar reviews where ever it goes. I'd much rather have a small stable of flats, honestly. But this was my second choice.
  7. Wow, people are going to have a hard time excepting a Justice League clone at SFMM lol. Almost as tough a time as Great Adventure fans had with the S&S spin clone. I myself am looking forward to it.
  8. I just rode Vortex for the last time last week, and although the ride is absolutely ready for an upgrade, I had a fairly smooth ride on it. Once again, I feel like the whole "roughness" reputation is somewhat unearned on this ride. Those trains however, are a claustrophobic nightmare. All stand up trains need to die. I can't believe I've spend so much time being contained by those stand up coffins.
  9. I agree. I don't see them investing in more than 2 per year.
  10. I'd love to see that too! anything to break up the monotony of so many 4D and JL announcements! Both look like awesome rides, but we need that one or two punch like we got with Twisted Colossus and Wicked Cyclone.
  11. You do make a good point. We've all been spoiled by the early to mid 2000's and that's just not the way big chains spend anymore. I really thought Lightning Rod would ignite a mini coaster war, but I was wrong.
  12. Is Six Flags really going to announce the same things over and over on September 1st? That's going to be the most boring announcement in history. Here's hoping they mix things up with a GCI, Intamin of Mack water ride in there somewhere.
  13. Strange. That doesn't seem to have been the case for the past 45 years... Perhaps. But Six Flags obviously feels it's the case in 2017. If the rumors hold true, of course.
  14. I don't find it odd at all. They are probably going to open up and connect that entire area, making it easier to go from Green Lantern, to Riddler's to Justice League without having to go around the games area. People holding out for a big coaster are in for disappointment. The park needs other things to do in the hot Santa Clarita heat, other than coasters.
  15. Yeah, it's looking like a pretty dull and predictable year for SF announcements, unless there's wild card in there somewhere. Still, I'm looking forward a dark ride at SFMM and what's looking like a pretty cool flat going into SFDK.
  16. This lines up with everything I've heard too. Looks like a THIRD Justice League has found a home.
  17. Yes, I had a few stapled rides on The Joker as well, but it was never enough to ruin the ride. The Joker immediately jumped into my favorite rides list. Outstanding airtime, especially in the front car. The stapling thing was also a problem on Twisted Colossus for the first few months, but isn't as bad now.
  18. Looks like another great "night" ride coming to KI. To me this looks terrific. KI is building a very no frills, solid line up of coasters.
  19. That theater would not have worked at all for any part of a JL dark ride. It wasn't even enclosed. Also, only the first two installations went into existing buildings. SFM, and SFGAm built brand new buildings for theirs. SFGAd will be building a brand new building, and assuming SFOG will be getting a JL, they will build new too. Given the location, I would imagine SFMM would also prefer to built their show building from the ground up. With the new building they don't have to worry about code issues, and if you've been to a park with one, these rides look stunning from the outside. I'd like to a see a flat or two also, with the entire area given a face lift.
  20. That took quite a turn... Does the park actually invest in anything besides roller coasters though? The different entertainment options interspersed throughout the year are an entirely separate budget and have no effect on corporate capital money. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last non-roller coaster capital investment was Lex Luthor and before that I can't even think of anything... I'm not sure where all of these JL definitely isn't happening rumors are coming from, I mean what's stopping the chain from deciding to plop down three JL rides? Granted, I'm kind of contradicting myself here based on my previous paragraph, however I genuinely do think that it would be a really really nice change from the typical roller coaster after roller coaster to see Justice League come to the park next season. I don't think anyone is saying a JL ride isn't coming to the park ( at this point I still think it's the most logical choice), but rather it is not the ONLY option for 2017, and it certainly doesn't HAVE TO happen in 2017 or bust. It's just that the pattern has been to add them to two parks a year. That can certainly change next year (given there are no rumors of any RMCs taking away the budget), but if that pattern DOESN'T change, what other ideas might the park have up their sleeves. And let's face it, this park makes money when they add new roller coasters or thrill rides. And TNR doesn't count.
  21. I was all ready to pencil in a Justice League ride for this park and move on to what Knotts is doing next. And then I see they've been pretty much confirmed for SFGadv and SFOG, and now I'm not so sure. I guess 3 JL in the same year isn't out of the question, but now I wonder if SFMM could be doing the SFOT flat ride additions instead or even something else? Hmmmmm....
  22. ^ That's another good point. Every time you crown an RMC the "best", one comes along the next year to top it anyway. It's become nearly impossible for me to rank coasters anymore because most of them are very good now. And they change depending on the type of ride I'm cherishing at the moment. I like the "tier" system so much better now.
