  1. How is that not a complaint about operations? And yeah it's a "cheap A$$ VR", do you expect an oculus rift at a regional theme park? Um...that's about not operations my confused friend, it's about planning and silly expenditure decision making. Try again. Silly expenditure decision making? You mean like re-branding an aging and unpopular attraction (Revolution) and yielding the park an attendance increase over the previous season? Hmmm SIGH Finally we agree on something cool. We move on now? Thanks! Yay you got the last word. K bye No, I got the last Britney, apparently.

Whether guests leave happy or not. lmao

Um...that's about not operations my confused friend, it's about planning and silly expenditure decision making. Try again. VR is part of operations on Revolution so.... Except I wasn't referring only to Revolution in my original post... maybe you should re-read it. You made it about Six Flags. lol Keep going...no let's move on. Beyond silly.

  6. How dare they charge the exorbitant amount of $6.99 a month for a Six Flags membership with free parking among other perks. The nerve!! I'm not sure what this has to do with ruining Revolution with lame A$$, low capacity VR. Nor, the rest of the industry I was speaking of. Come again? POSSIBLY it was a reference to enthusiasts constantly b*tching about Six Flags operations, yet have no problem with their cheap passes/memberships, free parking etc; Ya get what you pay for...Didn't think that bore an explanation but oooookayyy Okay gotcha...you were making a general statement then. Makes more sense now, because I wasn't b*tching about SF operations, only the stupid decision to ruin perfectly good coasters with cheap ass VR. Thanks for the clarification!

  8. This is looking more and more like a much bigger (in scale) project than I had originally thought. And I couldn't be happier for CGA after years of uncertainty and lackluster additions, this is great!
  9. VR is a cheap, "smoke and mirrors" way to promote something new while putting minimum investment into a park. I hate it, and I hate that we've allowed parks to get away with half assing new attractions into their parks while we continue show up to say "yes more please" with our wallets. For a gaming systems or even upcharge attraction in a dead area of an amusement park? Sure. On roller coasters? Give me a break.
  10. Ghostrider operations are a travesty and I'm shocked Cedar Fair would operate one of their parks this way.
  11. SF is back to superloops. Come on SF there are so many new looping rides and you're possibly putting in a 40 yr old ride technology. What a record? The biggest superloop. LOL! It may be the new S&S take on the giant loop with winged seats. Those can be custom built at much larger sizes. I bet SFMM gets one too.
  12. What SFMM tried to do on TC to race lol But of course that is SF, I know Knotts would do it correctly, or anyone else for that matter. Except they don't. And for that matter, the operations on TC blow away any ride at Knotts.
  13. Six Flags Magic Mountain: 2018: -Viper: New trains and track work -Zamperla Giant Discovery 2019: - RMC T-Rex (world's tallest looping coaster) 2020: - Sky Tower renovation 2021: - Waterpark expansion 2022: - Kids DC area/expansion
  14. I'm willing to bet money that CGA WILL get an RMC Raptor. I'm also willing to bet that they will get it open before SFFT. And I'm also willing to bet it'll be a similar, if not identical layout. Cedar Fair buying an identical ride to Six Flags in the same year? Seems unlikely to me. I could be wrong, but I wonder if CGA's ride will be a whole different setup.
  15. ^ Hey, there is a Surf Rider there. mystery solved! All the other good stuff is already taken. Knotts is getting an Intamin Surf Rider and new super store!
  16. ^ Yeah, they didn't even need to remove Boomerang if they wanted to add a Surfrider. Looks like a Surfer theme though, which many of us could have predicted considering the location.
  17. Everyone was assuming SF would announce a ton more Free Flys and a bunch of Skywarps, but could this type actually be the next one coming to multiple SF parks over the next 2 years?
  18. Lightning Rod They ripped out a lot of the track over the last few years and replaced it with new track made by RMC. The drop even has some airtime now... no for real. I prefaced this by saying that you'd have to be uber-technical to count this as an RMC now. I don't want to derail the conversation. I have no idea how much of the track is RMC track, nor do I care. If you count that, then you should also count that SFGAm and SFNE have two RMC-tracked coasters, and SFFT will have three. 4D Free Spin track is manufactured by RMC I don't think that opinion is that hot of a take. This year's cap-ex was super weak 5 parks will be soaking up the major part of that Cap ex. Everything else will probably be very small. I mean the 2017 cap ex when I said "this year," not things getting announced this year. Ah, I missed that...sorry.
  19. Except apparently it won't be the only one opening next year...

  21. My guess would be 2020, 20th coaster. Next year I predict a Giant Discovery or Sky Screamer. But who knows? All bets are off after today's announcement.
  22. I 100% think that's what Six Flags was doing here. I'm all in with CGA getting a raptor as well. Except we know which one will actually open first lol Still, congrats to SFFT. This looks amazing!
  23. Yeah, I'll never forgive them for not flattening those hills before opening that park!
