Very very true. I think an ARM/Larson drop tower would be a great addition as far as flat rides/drop towers go. With the water park being such a big draw though it may be a while before the dry side sees anything major.

In an interview that Don did with Coaster Crew he stated that The Bat would also be open on Media Day.

I wouldn't be shocked at all to see one after. Don Helbig has stated many times though the ride will reach its top speed at the bottom on the pretzel loop/batwing/whatever we are calling that element so I doubt we will see one before unless something comes up during testing.

According to Mitch's site there were 635 ballots submitted for the wooden poll and 549 submitted for the steel poll last year.

There is also a hill there. The station is significantly higher up then the batwing element which isn't overly evident from the angle of the webcam. I think the fact that it is hard to see that you are actually looking downhill makes it seem closer then it actually is.

I would think that Cedar Fair probably has a trademark on the name Vortex for coasters in the US.

It has more to do with staffing levels as the high schoolers head back to class. Backlot is often down a fair amount as well during slower times.

Its has been my experience in life that the man (or woman) with the money makes the final call. I highly doubt CNL is just blindly throwing cash at whatever Herschend tells them to.

I wouldn't dig to deep into any of that. Nice logo though! I wish they would actually use the Bat name with that logo. A big kudos to the park's PR department as they have really done a great job teasing this attraction. I love that they kept toying with us even after the ride blueprints leaked.

I believe its been confirmed that T2 will open in 2015 with Twisted Twins opening in 2016. That would mean Thunder Run, the roller skater, and whatever the new coaster are currently scheduled to open with the park next year.

Nice photos! I can't pinpoint exactly what it is but Michigan's Adventure is one of my favorite parks to visit.

40% chance of getting a front of line pass. Doesn't mean much if it is just for one and you are with a group. I can't speak for CGA but at Kings Island they have the same wheel and the front of the line passes are for you and a friend.

On Vortex at Kings Island it is 5-1.

I would say its probably far more likely that they are constructing the station than the ride itself.
