  1. Heck yeah! Would you say you are addicted to TPR?
  2. I have only visited the park ONE time where the thirld train actually did make a difference. Other than that, it made no difference. In fact, the first time I saw them add the third train, it was simply a waste of time, as it took 15 minutes just to be able to add on the third train, and, at the end of the ride, I sat on the two final block brakes for about a total of nearly 3.5 minutes. So, adding on the thrid train actually wasted 18.5 minutes of my life, while costing the park money. Spend more money to slow down lines. Yup, that's Six Flags! That's very true about the operation of Medusa's third train, but I don't get how running the third train will cost the park more money.
  3. An update from Scream Scape- http://www.screamscape.com/html/santa_cruz_beach_boardwalk.htm This is great news, and if I'm not mistaken, this will be the first X-factory in the U.S., am I right?
  4. Never, im always happy to go to a park, even if its a crappy one. When was the last time you rode your favorite coaster?
  5. Just because they LOOK the same, doesn't mean they'll ride the same. But I do agree, the Parc Astérix invert does look like it could be awesome.
  6. Favorite- Invert I think B&M is really losing their touch. I love old school B&M's, but these "New School" B&M's really aren't that impressive. I mean, don't get me wrong, there are some awesome new B&M's out there(like Tatsu), but when you look at a ride like Silver Bullet, where there is only one, real intense part of that ride, it makes you wonder if we'll ever see a new school B&M with the same intensity of some of the old school ones.
  7. Wasn't the 2010 poll ballot out early 2011?
  8. I finally got in line, only 13 more hours to go!!
  9. Even so, they should at LEAST get a clue by what other people are clearly saying about it. There's plenty of coverage on here that Girzzly continues to get smoother with each season thanks to the re-tracking job that the park is doing. Even if I hadn't ridden Grizzly since say 2006, I would at least get a clue and trust that what other people saying on here is true and not come out with an opinion of exactly the opposite when haven't even ridden the damn ride in five years. Do you see what I'm saying? It shouldn't be so hard to understand that a ride has gotten smoother when it's been communicated very clearly through here. Please ride Ghostrider and Mean Streak in the back (which you obviously didn't do) and then talk to me. I'm serious. The funny thing is, I rode Mean Streak in the front row of the back car.
  10. I think that is the first time I have ever seen those words used in a sentence....lol Wow. You seriously think that Roar is SMOOTHER than Grizzly?! If you listened to anyone else who have talked about that recently, you'd know that it's a much smoother ride than Grizzly. I don't know where anyone gets the idea that Grizzly is rough... It's the smoothest wooden coaster in NorCal! Seriously? You have to be joking. It's hated becuase to some people, it doesn't DO much, they DON'T hate it because it's "rough". If you think Grizzly is rough, you would quite literally die on Roar, Ghostrider, Mean Streak, Giant Dipper.. I could go on ALL DAY if you'd like, just go ahead and keep calling Grizzly rough. I will admit, Grizzly isn't that rough, but it acts a lot like a boring kiddy coaster to me. And what's with people slamming Ghostrider and Mean Streak? Mean Streak really wasn't that rough to me, but maybe I was sitting the right seat or something, and I just rode Ghostrider a few weeks ago and it wasn't TO rough, but it wasn't amazing.
  11. But that was JUST the construction of the coaster, right? Not the time it took to clear the land?(If they had to.) SFDK has to remove another coaster just to clear the land that they will put Superman on.
  12. I love the red and black color scheme of X2, it when for lame pink and yellow to bad ass black and red!
  13. My guess is around 50 to 60 degrees, maybe colder.
  14. So, I got to check out Holiday in the park last Sunday, and I took some pictures to! My camera does not take very good night photos, but I still took some pictures of some of the cool "daytime" things. On a side note, there where a lot of rides down that day, probably do to rehab. Those rides where- Taz Boomerang Scatabout The Ark Everything in Tava's jungle land Voodoo And Skyscreamer and Pandemonium where down temporarily, and Roar and Kong's second train where both for rehab. Now onto the pictures! I'm here at SFDK for Holiday in the park! This is going to look a bit different in a matter of months. Yep The parks 2011 "new hotness" This is why I love holiday events! As much as I doubted it, I ended up liking the Windseeker's better than this one. But I think the height has to do with most (if not all) of it. Did I mention there's a giant tree? Intamin boat p0rn! I had no idea what the point of this was, but it looked cool! They also have these things located all over the park to add to the atmosphere and to keep the guests warm during the night. (It got very cold that night!) Does anyone else see whats wrong with this? Not even these cool lights can make this ride not suck, it still loves to beat the crap out of you! I bet you can't guess whats in here! Candy canes! ACE size candy canes that is! Hi Leo, hows it going? The best thing about Holiday in the Park ( Besides the sort lines) is this! So much awesome! (Did I mention its free?!) Surprisingly, Hammerhead was running. The fact that the train operator posed for me adds 10x more awesome into this photo!! Bye Bye Bigspin, you will be missed! Thanks for reading!
  15. Yes, but the park hasn't gotten a new coaster in over 10 years, so just one would be enough to satisfy.
  16. I found a post from that page that was so full of awesome that I had to post it! I don't know what it is, but this one just made crack up!
  17. Im seeing this as a 1 to 1 and half hour wait on the most crowed days. Medusa can get a 45 minute wait every easily, and that's with 2 trains each holding 32 riders per-train. But Medusa is quite a long ride, and superman is a fairly quick ride.
  18. When I went (Thanksgiving week), it was just an empty flume. I didn't see any boats, but there probably storing them away some where.
  19. Really? I was actually the opposite, I was really happy to here about this ride and the theming looks great. Also, the launches look quite fun and from the animation it looks like there will be some great airtime on some of those hills. But the super sexy Mack trains are what really got me!
  20. ^ But the thing about most B&M hypers is that they are just hill, after hill, after hill. That would be ok if its insane ejector airtime, but its just gentle floater air like you said.
  21. The B&M mega's for 2012 probably get my vote, mainly because im not a huge fan of B&M mega coasters.
  22. ^ Does the fact that Big spin is still open answer your question? We probably wont see anything done until 2012.
