  1. Never thought the rumor would be true! I wonder how much different the rides will be from how they are now?
  2. Roar was running very smooth in the front, but I didn't ride it in the back.
  3. ^ I'm pretty sure the re-tracking was done last year, and they only re-tracked the some of the first bits.
  4. That last video is... REAL?! Wow, that's really impressive stuff.
  5. ^ Thanks for saying that for the 10th time! But really, there are plenty of other parks that need this ride much more than Darien Lake.
  6. I just got back from the park and I took some pictures! The lines where pretty short, and the only lines over ten minutes where for Roar and Kong, since they were only running one train. Everything was open besides Hammerhead (big surprise there) and it was over all a great day! Now, on to the pictures- Driving into the parking lot I noticed that most the track and supports just were hanging out there. Those twisty things in the back are the stair cases for the mid-course brakes. OK! The trains and the rest of the track were hanging out in the park. I'm guesting that's the motor for the lift hill. There are a few things missing here... Cobra rolled back on the lift hill about ten times before the park opened it. I'm not sure if that happened on purpose or not. OMG TAZ IS OPEN!!! I haven't seen this ride open since summer so it was nice to finally ride it again! Did this place always have such a kickin' name? Oh, did I mention that it was REALLY windy when I was there? Lets get back to Pandemonium. The guard "wall' next to Roar is very easy to see through as you can see. There's still a surprising amount of the ride left on the pad. It looks like that little hut next to the lockers is staying, for now. That's pretty much it! So, I leave you with this awesome picture I took of Medusa!
  7. I was talking to some friends at school today about the slc Kong at SFDK, and for some reason, most of my friends really like the ride and said it was fun! But the best part is that when I tried to disagree and say that its really shaky and it beats you up, someone said that the fact that it beats you up is what makes it fun!
  8. ^ Well the park DID have the world record for tallest inversion with Medusa, but that didn't last long. That rumor does seem a little out there.
  9. ^ Awesome news! Its nice to see some more animal attractions coming to the park, I can't wait to see how they come out!
  10. Those are great! I love one of the bridge! But try getting the trains in some of the coaster shots next time.
  11. ^ Remember, this IS a Six Flags park where talking about here, not Dollywood.
  12. ^They didn't start breaking ground for Skyscreamer until March, and considering Superman isn't a huge ride, I think the park won't break ground until the end of the month.
  13. I can't wait to have to buy a flash pass every time I want to ride (END SARCASM)! All joking aside, it looks like a great concept, but this capacity is going to be so bad, that it may take a REALLY long time to even get one ride in. That's why you get to the park early!
  14. ^ No, I'm pretty sure they built one or two in 2011.
  15. More wishes, no duh!
  16. ^^ Its Norcal, there's a minor Earthquake in my town almost every month, nothing new there.
  17. Wow! This ride keeps looking better and better! This thing looks like it could easily be the best steel coaster in the country! I hope it rides as good as it looks!!
  18. Nice photos! Thanks for the TR!
  19. Not sure either. My guess is that work on the ride will begin at the end of the month, maybe sooner.
  20. Exactly. Although the waterpark, as I've heard was a bigger hit than Stealth ever was. And V2 has much better reliability than Stealth ever did. V2 still has its fair share of down time though. But glad the ride was changed to its funky form, its a lot more fun than the original design!
  21. I have quite a few collections, but my favorite is my Twisty Puzzle collection (Rubiks Cube Type puzzles). I don't know what it is about them, but ever since I learn how to solve a Rubiks Cube, I've been completely obsessed! Here's my whole collection- And here are some of my more "interesting" puzzles-
  22. I completely agree!(Yes, I do like it better than Wicked twister). V2 is a great ride and I hope its here to stay!
  23. Actually, If you balance Gerstlauer Spinners correctly, you can still get an absolutely insane ride. I have yet to ride a Maurer Spinner, so I can't touch for them, but my very last ride on Pandamonium with two heavy-set teenagers on one side and no one on the other was incredible. But the thing is, you don't need to balance the car correctly to get an insane ride on a Maurer.
  24. Are the even doing a webcam? With Skyscreamer they posted a bunch of facebook updates.
