  1. I liked Kennywood on my only visit but chose the wrong time to attend as the park was packed with school kids and took me a good bit to hit all the credits. That being said, the park is on my return to list next time I'm up thata way.
  2. Today my adventure takes me to Rooster Days in Broken Arrow, Ok. I know what you are asking, what in the hell is Rooster Days? Well, I asked myself the same thing many years ago and here you go. It's the oldest festival in Oklahoma dating back to 1930 something as a way for farmers to sell their excess chickens. Yes, that's right. And since then the festival has morphed into food, music, parades(which thankfully I missed), vendors selling crap, and...Rides! So now that you know something about it, let's get going! Oh, and one more thing...even if you don't like cheesy carnivals...Please Comment! Welcome to Cock Days 2012! After listening to Roy Clark on stage, you just might need a funeral home... Typical crap on a stick. But oh so yummy OHHHH!!! I get it! Very funny! Take note, the largest obstacle course in all of America was right before my eyes! Which was basically multiple giant inflatables put together to form something where your kids could wear themselves out. Back over there was were all the food and stuff was. Honestly, too complicated to buy anything this year, even from the crap vendors. EVERYTHING required a ticket and some art for sale was $125. Yeah, I'd like $200 in tickets please? So on to the main event, one of two carnival lands provided by Pride Amusements. Yes, that's right, Pride Amusements has combined with Cock Days to provide your ride entertainment. These would be highly legal and challenging midway games. Didn't they make a really bad city slickers knock off called wild hogs? Hey look, it's sizzler! Honestly one thing I like about this carnival company is they are not afraid to run their rides balls out. AVALANCHE!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! Well well, what do we have here credit whores? Oh hell to the yeah! (Note: Yes, I do fit on it...barely) True story, this non English speaking operator refused to stop spinning me around. After 12 times, I had to give him the cut off signal, which was about to become the middle finger... So anyway, if you are a fan of tail, this is for you. Most amazing ride evar! Not. This report has a little of everything, including this shot for nerds! Hey, look here, more rides! I figured since you saw it from behind, you'd want to see it from the front as well. Nice artwork on their generator. Noted! Never really cared for these, even as a kid. This is a new to me ride, unfortunately I couldn't ride it. Think enterprise wheel but the ride car of a swinging himalaya. They wouldn't let you ride by yourself and despite 15 minutes of trying to get someone to ride with me, I gave up. I only saw it run in test, and whoa, talk about spin and puke. Very disappointed I couldn't ride.. Across the way from the grounds is the local Veterans Memorial. Speaking of Memorial, this Memorial day thank a Veteran, regardless of your political views these people sacrifice for us and deserve a thank you!! Coming up Next Week: A special Memorial Day edition as I show my top 10 favorite parks!
  3. One mans trash is another mans...trash, at least in this case. Too bad ops are slow. Also too bad that's only available on the Plat pass, a popular trend with SF's nowadays.
  4. Hopefully they will start testing iron shark soon. A few pictures I saw yesterday suggested they may be torque checking the track bolts.
  5. One thing to know is that flash pass won't get you on all the coasters, but you'll be able to knock out quite a few. If you want to whore the kiddie coaster, you'll need to bribe a kid. NTAG was Platt only last season and honestly I haven't checked into it this season. Single rider lines are available on Pandemonium and La Vibora, use them. If you are looking for other things to do, SpeedZone is about 35 miles away and good for an evening. There is also a Hard Rock and House of Blues Downtown. Downtown Fort Worth has several night clubs/dining options. The Stockyards also seems to be popular. You might check with the fairgrounds but I believe they are starting some sort of summer attraction. Downtown Mckinney, Tx is also nice for a few hours with several dining options, Plano, Grapevine, Allen, and the Galleria Mall are nice choices too. BBQ wise I prefer Sonny Bryans or Bone Daddy's although there are several places around equally as good.
  6. I can only imagine what they will do with 5 trains!
  7. Wait. Have you pre-screened this movie yet?
  8. Woot! Woot! Just passed 50k views!!!
  9. ^I would expect moderate crowds. Several schools in neighboring states are out now. Many of the school groups will book out around 3-4....
  10. That's why Chad hasn't been around today... he's in mourning. She couldn't be saved....I gave it my all, but she was just too mangled. R.I.P. my friend, R.I.P.
  11. Thanks man. It honestly just morphed into this as the day progressed at the zoo. The captions, well those came courtesy of some help from my spring time friend, benadryl. It makes me loopy(er)
  12. It's so they don't get the hoisting brackets backwards.
  13. ^Hey, I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night! But yeah, if hydration/nourishment aren't issues, seek medical advice....come to think of it.....do that anyway.
  14. Another thing to consider is how many attendees will they have? Less than 5k and you can do that park easily in a few hours. The shot towers are nothing special, skippable if time is not on your side.
  15. Latest foto from the GPP Facebook page Pissed Off Shark
  16. Less than four weeks to raise money ya'll!
  17. The first shark is finally on track! Official opening date expected to be announced early next week.
  18. Muchos Gracias all, this is by far one of my favorite TR's I've done to date!
  19. IDK, it seems to me they could put a set of clamp brakes on to stop the thing on the vertical track coming down into the station thus preventing another car from being able to go up the lift(or at least allow it to stop on the lift while waiting for the block to clear) and ensuring a full slide through the MCBR each time if say a car didn't right itself in the station.
  20. Would you be jealous if I told you they have completed installation of new Gerst axels on Shockwave and it's freaking butter smooth and hauls the mail?
  21. Found another one! Pride Amusements - Rogers, Arkansas based company Dragon Wagon - and yes, I rode it.
  22. Did you get the dragon wagon credit?
  23. Greetings and welcome to this weeks adventure that takes ChrisRad and I to the San Diego Zoo on a wet and rainy April Saturday. I have to say that this place is amazing and totally lived up to all the hype and expectations. A bit of construction going on in the zoo kept us from seeing a few attractions, but honestly after a full day in the zoo we still didn't get to see everything, it was HUGE! (That's what she said) I highly recommend that everyone pay the extra money(or talk the ticket seller in to giving you) for the bus tour and sky ride, 100% worth the money. So enough blah blah blah, let's get to it! Dude's got a bad case of the mange, either that or rug burns. I'm guessing rug burns as she needs to wipe off. Ever heard the term crapweasel? This is one. Your classic camel toe. So what does an elephant have in common with a garbage truck? Well for starters they are both about the same size and both have large hoses. Both also have forks on the front. Both can open their rear doors... ...that allows them to dump. Checking out the dating scene. We then caught these two sneaking off... For a little foreplay The polar bear got denied and had to go for a cool swim. So this is where Rudolph goes in the off season More proof that all the animals do here is get it on. Direct decedents of the tin man. Construction!!!!! These two were just coming out of their cave, not sure what they were up too, of course, they weren't in there more than a few minutes This dude was chill not my idea of a pet Worn plum out. WTF? It's crapping berries! HOT Here we have your classic dingle berry No matter how hard you try, you just can't shake it loose. ummm, yeah, WTH is it? A zebra, a donkey, maybe it's a Zonkey? Schlitterbahn for monkeys! mmm, man that smells good. Is that broccoli? Cause that smells good. Panda's got backfat All I wanted was what was mine! - OJ Simpson. ACE even had an exhibit. Moo. TPR I never knew roos could stand on their tails...sadly i have no evidence of it. Katie and her boyfriend. in all seriousness, the zoo is full of win and landscape beauty. "I want to drink your blood!" This is foreplay for a monkey. They start by touching each others biceps and forearms. Then they kiss the hand Which leads to frenching "You can't see me" Kinky Flamingo sex They really know how to spice things up Look, more construction! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, that's all folks! Hope you enjoyed and be sure to POST YOUR COMMENTS! Join me next week for Cock Days in my home state!
  24. ^It's not a sticker, is a piece of metal welded to the cage.
  25. I've said it before, I'll say it again, this park doesn't have a bad ride in it's lineup and will be a much needed kick ass addition to Galveston. With the Star Flyer not going up yet, Ferris wheel just now being assembled and trains not on track for the Euro(which will require a minimum of 160 hours of testing) I'm expecting they will announce the park will open mid to end June, which, will be fine by me as it will be warm enough for Schliterbahn as an addon bonus!
