  1. Hmmmm. I'm going to be in the Chicago area this weekend...wonder if I can make this work.
  2. ^Not this weekend, but I'll swing by on the way back from Holiwood nights next weekend and get some.
  3. Rides closed today are the following: - Ferris Wheel - Revolution - Texas Star Flyer - Iron Shark
  4. Dude, I understand this. Will $5 break the bank, no, but it pushes that glass ceiling. Disney is going to be quite effective in raising their A/P rate in lowering attendance and this will too, but at what long term cost? So now instead of turning people away, they get customers who now bitch and moan that the price is above what they are willing to spend for it. Win-win situation, no. I do like that CF is offering these passes and they are keeping all of the money to themselves unlike parks partnered with Lo-q. However a major benefit with Lo-q is if a pass is returned, it can be resold. CF can't do this, so the answer is, raise the price because we sell out too quickly. The statement Cedar Fair makes about raising the price for their customers, yeah, I don't know of any consumer who applauds paying more, lmao. Hypothetical. Sell an average of 1k passes per day at Cedar Point during the course of 100 peak operating days. That extra $5 nets them an additional $500k, not too shabby with an overall addition to the bottom line of ~5.5 million when not taking into consideration the Saturday premium. Now, if they use those additional revenues to continue to improve the park(and by improvements I mean not putting in lame rides like a million windseekers, tho the public somewhat seems to like them) then everyone wins.
  5. We went to a park after the Greek place? I don't remember that...
  6. ^Or they could just better limit the number of Fastlane passes they sell if it's becoming a demand problem. To the average person it looks very much like they are money hungry and that's what some will perceive it as. Is $55/$60 for a single pass a little high, maybe not so much at Cedar Point, but at other CF parks, certainly. I used Fastlane at WOnF last year at haunt and it was well worth the $35 I spent to be able to get front of line to all of the haunts except for one(logistic issues to get two lines going on it). I was able to practically walk in to all of them and was done in 90 minutes, same with Fastlane for their rides.
  7. They must be afraid someone is going to jump out
  8. They seem to think it won't affect business. I'm guessing grandma's and grandpa's taking the grand kids to the park would be the most likely to pay to enter and not want to ride. Time will tell though as they've said they are very willing to adjust the pricing based on people's voices and business demand. But I have seen several people voice their dissatisfaction over the fee.
  9. The New Texas Giant and Titan will be featured on the Travel Channel’s Top 5 tonight at 7pm CST
  10. ^They are trying to control access to the Pier and don't want a free for all. It's a fairly small space and from what I've been told it will be a permanent fee. If you buy the all day ride pass you don't have to pay the $10 walk on fee.

  12. ^I was too but apparently they can't bring roosters into the city like they used do, ironic eh? Another thing of note, they were selling turkey legs, but I don't recall any chicken being served except for one BBQ vendor. Which is exactly why I coming to Germany within they next two years!

  14. "Mom, why won't they let me hold my banana on Shockwave?"
  15. Morey's My favorite Seaside park. I see they haven't take down the Sky Ride yet, guess no one bought it, lol.
  16. ^I'm pretty sure I have a picture of you enjoying a nice ride on a cock
  17. Interesting read on the GPP Facebook page. Apparently the pricing model ABC released may not be the final pricing structure after gathering feedback from their FB fans. They also promise to detail final pricing and and an official opening date this week, looks like Memorial Day is a no go.
  18. ^ The log flume policy must be new, I've ridden it last season on my own. At the Pandemonium, single rider entrance is the same stair case as flash pass, staying on the left side I believe.
  19. ^^Considering that the park maps still show the old texas giant layout with a red ink pen used to color the track in, this didn't surprise me.
  20. I noticed a few weeks ago that Dixieland had changed the name of the facebook page and didn't think much of it until now... Facebook Fun Junction USA Website. It also comes with a bit of good news. They are advertising no more entrance fees with a pay for what you want to do pricing plan. Excellent for those only wanting the credit or ziplines. Pricing information: Looks like they are still adjusting their website. Based only on my one visit to the park on the Sunday following Deep South Bash, the park was empty. I literally had a ride op follow me around on the lower section of the park asking me what I'd like to ride next. Pretty sweet deal actually, I felt like a VIP! But I doubt that was working out well for profits. The new pricing structure might help. Time will tell.
  21. ^ Please, don't encourage him to post nerdy pictures.
  22. Funny you mention the sign about gang attire. For years we had something called the "indoor fun fest" for two weeks. The final two years were not good with the final year having a shoot out at the ok coral, yuuup, gangs. That was enough for Exposition Center here to say no more
