  1. I got a real soft spot for the Supes, seeing as how it was such a landmark attraction back in the day, so I'm really glad SFMM is pimping it out and giving it a second lease on life. That Zac Spin thing, though,... it scares me...
  2. Dear DubaiDave, After recovering from watching the BGT coaster POV animation, I just finished watching the test-launch video of the Ferrari World coaster and the resulting torrent of drool has, again, ruined a perfectly good shirt and further horrified my coworkers. Thanks a bunch. Sincerely, Robert
  3. Dear Busch Gardens Tampa, I just watched your Cheetah Hunt POV animation and the resulting torrent of drool that has fallen from my mouth ruined a perfectly good shirt and horrified my co-workers. Thanks a bunch. Sincerely, Robert
  4. Really sweet Montu photos. Made me realize how long it's been since I've ridden that coaster; I am WAY overdue for a return to BGT. Also, big cats of all types are the most beautiful animals. Gotta give some love to the kitties next time I do visit.
  5. That Wild Train is a PAX, right? Ay carumba, what kind of sick commie math do those Russians use to design their coasters, anyway? Awesome video!
  6. If these trains get some '58 Caddy "rocket fins" on the back, I will mess myself with joy. If not, I'll still think they're the raddest ever. Just brilliant.
  7. "FREE CIALIS XXX" = high-school gymnasium swimming pool overflowing with toxic levels of win. Truly, perhaps one of the top-ten most awesome websites ever created.
  8. Sweet Piraten postcards... That first bird's eye view shot made me finally realize how much the Mega-Lites are related to Intimidator 305. Tasty and no wonder the MLs get such glowing reviews. *dreams a happy dream of Holiday World getting a Mega-Lite* Also love the old Fantasy Island material. Surreal and awesome.
  9. Once again, gorgeous photos. Man, do I miss this park; haven't been in ages (Powder Keg was still Buzzsaw Falls... yikes). Easily one of the most beautifully landscaped theme parks in the world.
  10. A fairly crappy day at work was completely restored to full awesomeness watching the Kidtums Butterfly video. A world with that much mega-cuteness in it is a good world to be living in.
  11. The faceless Minions rock very hard. Dadgumit, one of these years I gotta get to a USF HHN... Thanks so much for all the great photos; keep 'em coming, please!
  12. Any park with a GCI that looks as fun as El Toro AND a Flitzer with a wonderfully absurd amount of theming is a must-visit park for damn sure. Has anyone ever seen a themed Flitzer anywhere else? Most curious. Edit: Wait, never mind, answered my own dumb question: the Silver Mine used to be the Rioolrat at Avonturenpark Hellendoorn, with rat-shaped cars, etc. Hat tip to the ever-awesome RCDB.
  13. I'm hearing more and more about how much BGT's HOS is really now among the best Halloween events in the country and now I can see why. Damn... I love the idea of "Alone" very, very much.
  14. This looks like so much fun, I'm numb with envy. If heaven turns out to be an eternal Oktoberfest, I'll be totally fine with that. Truly, this could be the mother of all trip reports. Thanks for all the multimedia, and MORE PLEASE!
  15. SBOFOOMMLOL (spewing bits of food out of my mouth laughing out loud) while I eat lunch and read this. Reports on ridiculous, overpriced tourist-trap attractions are awesome; reports of such places with hysterically snarky commentary are awesome with extra awesome sauce. Thanks and please leave no tacky Florida attraction unexplored.
  16. Man, I so love this time of year... Really tasty shots, and MAD PROPS to whoever at The Point made it his or her business to include the famous L. Fulci "worms in the eye socket" zombie in there! So revved up for KSF's Haunt event in two weeks!
  17. Just rode a "standard" StarFlyer at the LA County Fair, only 115 feet tall... it's alternately relaxing and terrifying. Twice as high? I don't think I can do it... Hat tip to those who will; you are better men and women than I.
  18. If the ladies (and the gents who lean that way) get Ryan Reynolds checking the restraints, then I want Scarlett to BE my restraint. Seems fair, right? Seriously, though I'll miss GASM, this is a pretty sweet replacement. If they'd move B:TR over there, they'd really have one sweet DC/B&M land going.
  19. ^^^ To quote one of my favorite Ned Flanders' moments, "A rude Frenchman? Well, I NEVER...!" I am curious to hear what they'll do for a third gate... Given the general French tolerance for the darker sides of human nature, maybe we'll get that all-villains-themed "Shadowlands" park that seemed to be a fun rumor many years ago... Or maybe "Existentialand." Mickey, Minnie, Donald, the whole gang, sitting around smoking Gauloise cigarettes, looking bored...
  20. Never been to a Disney water park and now I'm feeling pretty stupid about that. This place looks awesome! Very helpful photo report; thanks!
  21. ^ Yeah, right? Sheesh... Anyway, thanks again for the rockin' shots. Those close-up rider photos never fail to make me smile, sometimes even laugh out loud.
  22. It's almost painful to see how awesome Oktoberfest is. That "portable" flume ride is completely bonkers. Very cool "behind the scenes" stuff; thanks so much!
  23. This has GOT to be the deal of the century. I wasn't paying very close attention, was already sold on going, and THEN noticed that the price includes front-of-the-line maze privileges. That's crazy-awesome.
  24. Happy 3rd Birthday!Congrats on the long run, and please do keep up the good work! I can't imagine ever getting tired of looking at all these old ads, promo materials, etc. Ah, to recall the days when "Six Flags" actually meant six real flags...
  25. "Smug" = 40-foot cargo container full of pharmaceutical-grade win.
