  1. Super cute little park! It really is sad that so few places like this exist anymore in the States. That Inspector Gadget looks like he's just popped out of the mountain at the end of "Total Recall."
  2. Very cool trip report; thanks! Ever since the ToT opened, I've been dying to go to this park, and I've never seen any shots taken inside the queue - nice. And as terrified of heights as I am, the Giant Drop just looks awesome (I can't explain why, but I get less freaked out by Intamin freefallers... go figure). Never imagined what would happen if a ToT car were bombing up the tower while one were riding the GD... Bonus! And, truly, "The Angry Beavers - Spooty Spin" may just be the best ride name in the history of outdoor entertainment.
  3. This stuff is all gold, and not just for the amusement park nostalgia factor; I love the "new wave" 80s-style graphics on the early Adventure Island brochures: Hot Pink and Neon Blue! Drop Shadows! Lines in the Background! Everything on an Angle! Classic...
  4. That is just completely sick in the head. To all those who would do this, I tip my hat in respect. You're a braver man/woman than I. The Big Shot is all I can handle up there, and I'm not sure I ever need/want to do that again...
  5. "I don't know," the comment continued. "Maybe the Life Force Crusher-X is just the type of coaster I deserve." The Onion roolz.
  6. Great to see GASM all white and pretty again after that last round of flood damage! Did you ride the Georgia Cyclone? How was it running? Haven't been to this park in so long, really miss it. I want to ask that Goliath helix out on a date because I want to get all close and personal with it...
  7. Okay, now THAT is a waterpark attraction I can get very squishy-excited about.
  8. Didn't think about a height restriction change; that would be sort of a drag, as this is such a kid-friendly ride. But I won't miss the log-flume style seating at all.
  9. Mmmmm... new trains looking kind of cool! Can't remember if they're designed for one rider per seat? BTW, pretty awesome first post! Well done!
  10. Longtime visitor to the Amusement Attic and I thank you for all the incredible work you've put into posting your great collection. And these ARE great shots of this oddball ride! (It confounds me that many Vekoma coasters look so good, and yet ride so not good... (although, as I recall, Ninja was not as bad as many V-machines, but it's been years since I've ridden it.)) Anyway, thanks again!
  11. Happy B-Day and thanks again for keeping a close eye on this bad boy! The roof shingles seem more "haunted mansion" than "haunted castle," but am I going to make a fuss? No, I am not. Because a major new dark ride is cause for much rejoicing. BRING IT!!!
  12. Awesome thread and I can't WAIT for this thing to open! Thanks for the sweet photos! (Would almost kill a childhood pet to see SFMM build something like this... )
  13. So sad to see those shots of the BBW... We just don't have enough suspended coasters anymore. Thanks for sharing these! Also, put me down as a Drachen Fire fan. Loved that sick inversion half-way down the first drop and the lit-up trains at night. Also, put me down as praying for some GCI love at this park.
  14. Gee, I hadn't been paying close enough attention to this project... and didn't realize Gerstlauer trains were part of the deal. I'm still really, really psyched to see how this all turns out, but, boy, do I have some awful Villain memories... But as others have said, thanks so much for keeping a close eye on the progress! (Also, I wish to hell they'd rename this coaster to "The Iron Giant" and get Brad Bird on board with re-theme...)
  15. Robert Coker here, another long-time lurker, first-time poster... Don't ask me why it's taken so damned long to get a proper TPR Forum account, but I did concurrently become a Club TPR member, so I feel much better about life in general right now. Smiley test: Looking forward to much time-wasting on these boards and someday... going on an overseas TPR trip... Someday...
