I've tried a couple of things to help the grey-outs, and food doesn't seem to help. Drinking lots of water (especially when it is hot out!) helps a LOT! I never lost all of my vision when i was fully hydrated. I'm no doctor though... -

Am I seeing the same video as everyone else? Except for the tower element (obviously), it looks plenty zippy! That airtime hill looks like it's running in true intamin form. -

A quick Google search says it means "high handed, domineering". Sounds like dominator to me! -

I was at Kings Dominion this easter, and while I was a bit under the weather ( ), It was a great day with an empty park. Some notes: Drop tower was still down all day. Dominator and volcano were both running great and smoothly. Denny's across the street is the best place to eat during a KD visit. Intimidator was running insanely! Very fast in the morning, but incredibly fast in the afternoon. I was on all previous configurations of the ride, and the current version is definitely the best. The midcourse breaks are weaker than in april 2010, and it flies through the second half. It definitely affects my day at KD that there is an amazingly running extreme Giga sitting on one end if the park with no line. It was in my top 3 last year, but it is now my solid #1, and I was in the congo most of the day.. I lost less vision than last year, and never blacked out, so I think the new turn will work for some. I had been drinking lots of water though, so I think that helped. Easter is my favorite day of year to visit theme parks, and this year and last, KD had very light crowds. -

Two loading sections in the station, I should say. -

The ride has two loading stations, If it were a possibility they could stagger the launch strengths, and have a queue split. Otherwise, you could be in line for one speed, and end up on the other. -

Screamscape had reported Krake's cost at 12 million euros, or about 17.3 million USD. This seems insane considering the taller, longer Griffon cost 15.6 million USD. I suppose steel prices may have inflated the cost to such an enormous degree, or that some of these cost reports are incorrect, or they are considering different factors. -

The airtime on Griffon's first drop is downright killer (stronger than anything on apollo even, IMO), so if it is anything like that, I'm sure people will be happy with that portion of the ride at least. -

I think its a clever deduction, and I think you're just as knowledgable as anyone here, ans we don't seem to have manufacturing insiders, so jokes are all we have to offer. So good job, I think thats likely the method. -

I must say, hearing about boos directed at the management who helped make the event possible is disgraceful. I don't think though, that it is unreasonable or "bitching" to have the opinion that the ride was (and likely will be) better with the trims off the first hill. (In fact, I think the KD management must think the same thing if they're going through the trouble to try to keep the trims off!) It's just what I think about the matter, and people who disagree with me are just as entitled to their opinion. Not everyone who holds this opinion is one of the people who would be disrespectful at an event for TPR members. -

I can understand the problems with a negative attitude, and in this very thread I was irresponsible with my words, which I have since tried to rectify. I don't see why someone has to be called out for being excited about the removal of the trims though. He might as well have been saying "Kudos to the park for your latest efforts in making this coaster great!". I too, am excited for this season, I'll be there at easter! -
