  1. Why does it seem like every new RMC ride looks like a contender for world's best coaster?
  2. That last inversion looks pretty weird, hanging up so high off the ground.
  3. The trim hasn't been there for years... That hill is as good now as when it opened.
  4. I think I'd be interested in play this if it had an economic game mode, but I can imagine that that would be a lot of work. Oh well, I hope it's a success, I know that development is notoriously demanding work.
  5. Never been on a ride with too many forces.
  6. Yeah, it looks like a loop, it's gonna feel like a loop. Its width is just minutiae.
  7. Looks like a regular ole' loop to me.
  8. I think that it's plausible that coasters are entering a "final" age, in which we have sizes and speeds and max forces we will not likely go beyond, but within those limits the boundaries of design still seem to be maturing into something new(ish). The modern extreme intamins and RMC coasters are just so good, I'd be happy if they represent the forseeable future of coasters. El toro, maverick, skyrush, outlaw run, goliath... I don't yearn for 11g's, 700' monsters, or 200 mph rides if we can keep this sort of thing going in some capacity.
  9. I305 at night on a broken wheel was terrifying.
  10. You have to imagine that some of the parks know what they're getting into when they request the most intense coasters on earth. It seems that parks don't bother asking B&M for intense rides, and seldom bother asking intamin for a more traditional ride. Intamin rides have had some technical issues, but are for the most part a good deal less expensive than their B&M counterparts. I'd bet that for the most part, the type of ride and the amount of money determine what manufacturer gets the job.
  11. I thought that a B&M Giga and Hyper in the same park was silly then, and I think its silly now (as per rumor). Now make the giga a looper and you've got a totally different situation. There's no was a giga multi-looper wouldn't be world famous (as far as coasters go).
  12. Amusement parks have pretty serious insurance, don't they?
  13. The negativity around this ( unique and well reviewed) ride is crazy. Short rides are a fact of life, especially when they're composed of huge and expensive elements. It doesn't mean it's a bad ride. Edit: beating a dead horse, didnt see this page.
  14. Most fast launches, I suppose.
  15. RMC seems like the new superstar in coasterdom. They're making texas a real coaster destination, I need one near me!
  16. Are you saying that enthusiasts complain?
  17. It's just strange to me that despite multiple top-ten wooden coasters (per Mitch Hawker, half of the top-ten if you count Boulder Dash), I almost never see anyone advocate a gravity group ride, yet people say almost every park without one could use a GCI.
  18. What could they build that would set the attraction apart from roar, wildcat, or lightning racer though? Their product line is not the most diverse...
  19. Gravity Group rides, Intamin woodens, and now RMC woodens always seem to be a bigger hit with coaster fans than GCI's, so I'm surprised that GCI is always the "go to" manufacturer here for any park that is rumored to get a wooden coaster. The east coast already has its fair share of GCI's, I'd like to see any other manufacturer work with the park. Apollo's airtime is pretty weak for me, I'd love to see some serious ejector by GG, Intamin, or (especially) RMC in BGW.
  20. Its a bit of a shame that nobody builds observation towers like the ones at the King's parks, they're a much better experience than the "ride" type ones. An observation deck high above the middle of cedar point would really be a memorable part of anyone's day there.
  21. Wow, it looks taller than I thought, that element is going to be pretty big.
