  1. I'm pretty sure that 90% of the people who are fine with the old restraints will like the new one better anyways. Never heard of a person who liked i305 better with the old ones.
  2. They might want to have the first video be of the trains dueling, to advertise that feature if the video gets around.
  3. Has any more of the asphalt been replaced, or any other beautification been done for 2015?
  4. When I went the parking was fine but being on an island that can be an issue maybe they should get one of these Seems to be working for Disney and they recouped enough space to build a whole park. lol. Parking is not a issue, it can be addressed. Parking Garages are REALLY expensive. It's simply not worth it for the park. I think Cedar Point will be looking like Grona Lund before they start cutting into infrastructure space.
  5. Have they been putting the connecting plates on the track pieces as they put them up, or are they putting them on now? Edit: looks like they're not on yet, from the pictures.
  6. I think this has a chance to be a new #1 steel. Who knows though.
  7. For lift-to-brakes or launch-to-brakes the revised ride-time is easy to get from POV videos, and you can probably estimate the lift/launch-to-brakes length in most cases pretty accurately by looking at the brakes/station/lift length on google maps (factoring in the pitch of the lift) and subtracting that from the total.
  8. Yes, this is right. Averages are easy to compute, no need to integrate anything or get any piecewise data.
  9. Can you imagine a RMC hyper? I don't think we could handle it.
  10. Interesting looking chassis. Big brake fins!
  11. You asked why and I explained, it's blatant anchoring. The perception of a 'rediculous' deal is the point.
  12. Anchoring is a sales tactic used to establish a price point that makes another item seem like a good deal. You might not be a big fan of whoopie pies, but you'll buy the six pack based on the perception of a deal they've established with the high price of a single pie. You think you've gotten a good deal, and they've sold six 15 cent pies for 8 dollars.
  13. Look at the size of the blue hill next to the lift, after only a couple hundred feet of track. Looks like crazy airtime to me. There are no trims on any existing RMC's yet, right? Kind of crazy for a company to be making nothing but heavy hitters (not sure how Goliath SFGAm fits in there) for coaster fans.
  14. Different zooms and focal lengths can make background objects appear large or small.
  15. The change in roll direction seems odd to me. The way it was before, the two trains never broke line-of-sight during the element, but now, the green track and its supports will be in between the two trains during the exit of the element.
  16. I'm planning to go on Easter sunday, is there anything I should know? Will there be crowds? Are any major attractions not open during springtime in the park? Is it possible to leave the car in the lot and walk into town for lunch?
  17. I think the californians' prayers for airtime are being answered. This thing is somehow looking a lot better than the concept media. This one should be killer.
  18. Who can blame him? Ejector air is the best. Being a coaster fan doesn't mean you have to love a coaster just because it's a big investment or a good product.
  19. Looks like a wacky cartoon alligator, or a hand making a face.
  20. Looks like a great coaster for southeast coaster fans to have around! I still think that it makes the addition of intimidator look kind of stupid though, especially if this one has better air.
  21. I've heard that shockwave is the park's most reliable coaster, and that they have tons of parts for it, now that the other two togo stand ups have been dismantled. Hurler too is probably not a big deal to operate. Hopefully 2016 brings something neat to the park.
  22. A longer launch means less force (per unit time), not more.
  23. I think Maverick might be shooting up in the rankings soon. I305 became much more enjoyable after the switch, even for someone who was 'good' at riding it. Especially those snap transitions, this coaster is going to come alive.
  24. It's after the dive loop and the double down type dip, and before the cutback/overbank.
