Alabama Adventure 9/30/06 Photo TPR
SixFlagsTexas replied to tinflowers's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I was so close to going to Alabama Adventures that day. I traveled to Birmingham to visit family and then go to SFOG the next day, and tried to talk my parents to go on Saturday, but we didn't have time. Anyways glad you had fun. It's such a shame I missed out. -

Meh, I still don't like the new look to Runaway Mountain's new sign. It just looks a little weird to me with the red letters. Anyways great TR, good to see a TR from my home park. -

Hated coasters you like.

Ditto. I've been on one SLC and 2 Boomerangs and I've enjoyed them all. I thought Boomerang at SFFT was very smooth, and I liked it very much. Flashback (SFOT) and Serial Thriller (SFAW) do have their bad moments though, but they're still enjoyable and fun. -
Did you get a chance to ride Rodeo? It looks awesome, but I have only heard negative reviews about the ride. I need to get out there before school starts in less than 2 weeks!

Dallas...nothing spectacular At night...

^ You guys are only 5 games out. You have a whole half-season left to take the division. And I'm rooting for you guys, the Jays are my favorite team in the AL East.

What a great game! What a clutch hit by Young. Also, Gary Matthews Jr. got a hit in the 7th. My Rangers have made a difference in the recent AL games... 03: Hank Blalock's game-winning HR in the 8th 04: Alfonso Soriano wins ASG MVP 05: Mark Teixeira blasts a 2 run home run 06: Michael Young wins ASG MVP with a clutch 2 run triple. Go RANGERS!

I got to see my Rangers lose to the BoSox, 7-3. I was really upset with this game because I had thought Kevin Millwood would have been a great addition for us, but we will have to see. Our rookie looked great, and Hank hit a HR. So besides the 3,000+ BoSox Fans, the intense sun burning, terrible upper-deck out-field seats, and the fact that we lost, the game was still fun. Go Rangers! -
I don't know if this is in the right forum, but they consider it a theme park. Here's the news... March 27, 2006 Year-round winter sports park planned for Dallas Thinkwell Design & Production, Baker Leisure Group and McGillivray Consulting Group are among those on board for a winter-themed entertainment venue and sports park planned to open in Dallas in late 2008. The $375 million Coolzone Winterplex project, which organizers say will be the world's first year-round, indoor-outdoor winter sports theme park, anticipates 1.6 million-2 million visitors per year. Coolzone Winterplex is in the process of raising capital. The Bearfire Group, formed in late 2004 as the general partner for the project, has enlisted former Congressman Dick Armey to assist in these efforts. “This is a very exciting and innovative project and will be another economic boost to North Texas,” the former House Majority Leader said in a statement. “And besides, I can’t wait to hit the slopes in Dallas!” You can read more here... http://amusementbusiness.com/amusementbusiness/industrynews/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002237094&imw=Y And the offical website... http://www.coolzonewinterplex.com/index.html And it will all be less than 10 miles from me. Wow, I don't have to drive all the 10 hours to go to a New Mexico ski resort, I got it here!

I can only hope Dallas takes the lead in the western conference. Because then, the city of Dallas will have two teams leading their conferences, Stars and Mavs! It's possible, the Stars are only 4 points back for the conference.

I just finished Of Mice and Men in English, and it turned out great. Although the ending wasn't a "Happily Ever After." I dont normally just sit down at home and read, I have only read 3 books on my own. Recently I picked up a book I found on a shelf and started to read it. It's Wish You Well by David Baldacci. So far I'm on page 315 of 370, and I'm suprised I've read this far without giving up. I need to read more often.

Zip as of now. Although I'm still fearing for the worse...

I have fund the 2 best online Games ever
SixFlagsTexas replied to coasterboi's topic in Random, Random, Random
I played Runescape for a looooong time, and became obsessed with it. I joined clans, trained, fought, and collected rares. I became a level 64 when it hit me that I was wasting my time. So then I stopped playing and now I only log in a like once every month. It's a great game, but I wish I never got hooked. Apparently there is someone name Zezima that has level 99s in all of his stats. Now that is someone wasting their life. -
It appears I might be geting braces this coming summer. I have always been worried about the pain you get from them. So, on a scale from 1-10 how much does it hurt the first few days you recieve em'?

I hate UT, and I hate their bandwagon fans more. Although I got to root for my home state and the Big 12. It just sucks that I went to to Cotton Bowl to see my Red Raiders loose to Alabama on a crappy, yet successful 45 yard field goal. As of now it's TEXAS 23 - USC 24.

IMO Soriano is Overrated. He always strikes out, and he doesn't have good stats away from home. He had a great ballpark to hit homeruns at because Ameriquest Field is a launching pad, and now he's playing at RFK Stadium. I would think he would finish with an average around .250 next season. Wilkerson will do great in Texas, and he already has a better OBP than Soriano. Go Rangers!

Well actually where I live (Dallas), we got a wintery mix storm Wednesday night and we had a SNOW DAY on Thursday, and hit a record low at 16! I heard from one of my friends that we are also expecting snow next Friday. A snow day is nice, but I will regret it in May when the make-up days are on Saturdays. :?

Where's the vote for both of these threads being "retarted?"

How did you get your screen name?
SixFlagsTexas replied to waterviper's topic in Random, Random, Random
My name just represents all the three, I mean two, six flags parks in Texas. It sucks because I could have been more creative. Now I just need to edit SWAT out of my sig. -
YES! Finally something SFOT needs; flats. Here's the ride list... Blackbird - Chance Morgan Aviator? I'm not sure because it has to have an oval path. La Fiesta de las Tazas - Tea Cups Rock-N-Rocket - Looping Starship from AW Rodeo - Breakdance Crazy Legs - Warp 2000 from AW? Caddo Lake Barge - Rockin Tug Sidewinder - Scrambler from AW Up, Up & Away - Ballon Race or Samba Balloon Tower Boot Scootin' - Huss Jump? I'm looking forward to the Huss Jump and Breakdance. Too bad we didn't get the Disko I was looking forward too.
