  1. Great pictures Marcus, thanks for sharing! The park looks beautiful with all the lights and decorations. Love what they did with the entrance to Balder! And I'm sure those fire baskets will be much needed after some cold rides on Balder...
  2. Yeah I can only support what the others have said, do not skip Epcot! I would go for doing Animal Kingdom and Studios on the same day. If your friends feel that is a bit too much then skip one of these parks. IMO Animal Kingdom is the better park, it's beautiful and has a great atmosphere. Expedition Everest is awesome, but the park as a whole is lacking a little in the ride department. Studios overall has a better ride package with Rock'n Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror, Star Tours and Toy Story Midway Mania. It's up to what your friends prefer.
  3. ^It does seem so indeed. If you go back to the first post on page 1204 you can see that they simply cut the supports leaving the bolts in the footer. It could be that they're simply pouring concrete over the old bolts to save some work. We'll know once they have done some more footers.
  4. ^^RMC alpine coaster anyone?? I must say I love the wooden coaster models at the MVR booth. The video showcasing their wooden coasters in China was also fantastic, not only do the coasters look great, but it was also extremely well edited.
  5. ^Well, spinning coaster with inversion already exist, but you have to go to Japan if you want to try it... http://rcdb.com/6453.htm But yeah, the spinning car on Blue Fire looks NUTS! I would love to try it.
  6. The new Gravity Group woodie for Walibi Rhone Alpes looks great! Gravity Group have proven with several of their coasters that it doesn't have to be very large to be a hell of a lot of fun, and I'm sure this will be no exception. Also love the train, looks awesome!
  7. That model of Cobra's Curse looks AWESOME! So well detailed....
  8. It has been some VERY wet days lately. On saturday we also had very high water level (spring tide), so I went into the city center to have a look. Fortunately flooding was avoided, but it made for some pretty cool pictures. Weekend is going to be nice, but temperature might drop below freezing.
  9. Oh this is going to be fun to follow! Damnit, you stole my post!!
  10. I see I posted Expedition Everest after my trip to WDW last year, but thinking about it more I would probably give the edge to Rock'n Rollercoaster. Great launch, smooth and overall a very fun ride.
  11. Great trip report! It's always fun to see pictures from parks you normally don't see that much from.
  12. Very curious about the tilt coaster, will be very interesting to see once track starts being assembled.
  13. Technically not the last, but the last new beer for me was the amazingly delicious "Kniksen" beer from the local 7 Fjell Bryggeri (7 Mountains Brewery, the name comes from the seven mountains surrounding our city).
  14. Well I'm not old by any means, but I have definitely felt a change throughout the years, I don't have any problems with particular rides, but I cannot marathon rides like I used to do 8-10 years ago.
  15. ^You're not the only one, I've been to EPCOT three times over my last two trips to Florida and I never noticed it.
  16. Very eerie seeing the pictures from the gates at DLP, what should have been a happy place full of people.
  17. ^Same here. Finding it difficult to go to bed tonight. Really puts our minor complaints into perspective...
  18. Great trip report, really enjoyed it! Your comments gave me a couple of good laughs. I have go to there for the Christmas celebration some time, the castle looks amazing lit up like that. Once I get past Star Tours I always get lost. While DHS is not a big park, it has a bit of a confusing layout. Looking forward to see what they do with the place.
  19. I like both the name and the logo, it's fitting for a rapids ride based on Norse mythologi. While it's not the ride I personally wanted, I feel I'm becoming more and more positive to the ride, and I think it will fit well at Tusenfryd and the area of the park it's located in. I will definitely have fun riding it. Also looking forward to see the outcome of the theming. For those not familiar with Norse mythologi: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragnar%C3%B6k From tusenfryd.no
  20. On a side note, are there any more pictures of Raptor with it's fresh paint? It looks fantastic!
  21. I'm glad I didn't punch a hole in my computer monitor due to the sheer anger I feel right now, knowing my home park totally psyched everyone out, and having to face the cruel and agonizing truth that the only thing us coaster fans here in the greater Toronto area can do is watch CP build/enjoy their coaster, trying to enjoy the positively "meh" flat rides we've received for 2016, while we wait another eternal season for our own steel masterpiece.... Have you considered trying living 300 miles from the closest rollercoaster? If not give it a try, I can highly reccomend it. Obviously living near a park with only 16 rollercoasters, including both a hyper and a giga is a boring life....
  22. Amazing work! I feel like I'm repeating myself every time I make a comment in this topic, but I just keep being amazed at your dedication and attention to detail in this project. Keep it up!
  23. That sure is an interesting concept. Feels a bit too claustrophobic for my taste though. At first I thought it would need escape chutes everywhere in case the wheel would stop, but looking at it a bit more closely it seems like the only places where the rafts would come to a stop is in the sharp bends.
