  1. Agreed, Sommerland Sjaelland was great. I was expecting a couple of small coasters and some kiddie rides, but what they had was amazing. Their jungle cruise was really fantastic. It was honestly the only park I could have used more time in. Enjoying your trip report, love the humour.
  2. Tranan was a very unique and fun coaster. I'd like to see a longer version of the coaster, because the amount of time experiencing the unique elements was ultimately minimal on Tranan.
  3. Tornado was really fun and unique, but I found it was hard on one's neck and there was really nothing you could do to prevent the jerking from having an effect. I'm pretty sure I would have had some lasting soreness had I rode it more than a few times.
  4. How many nights did you sleep IN your room? I was really surprised by the extra park. I wasn't expecting much but there really was a lot to do. The obstacle course was really good and the jungle cruise type ride was really good. The interactive elements, where you could send a text to turn on certain effects, was extremely cool.
  5. The fact we visited on a Saturday may have influenced opinions to some degree as well. After five days of non-existent weekday crowds, it was a bit jarring to have to, *gasp*, wait in lines for attractions!
  6. I never felt uncomfortable, and I rode it many times during the ERT. Helix and Balder were easily my favourite coasters of the trip.
  7. We were not happy campers at that moment, nor, I imagine, were the people in line whose already ridiculously long wait time was being extended. Good park but worst operations of the tour. Your photos are fantastic!
  8. I notice that they are *not* loading our luggage onto the plane. A *tiny* detail that was overlooked.
  9. It really did just make the ride rougher and less pleasant. An interesting concept that just didn't work well in execution, in my opinion.
  10. Wow, an update is out even though the Stonecutters event is still going on. I feel spoiled!
  11. This update is a breath of fresh air after Easter. Trouble is, it ends July 02. So which hotels have wi-fi again next week?
  12. From the Tapped Out Facebook page: "Mysterious men have been spotted near Springfield. What do they want? When will they arrive? What is with their giant stone? Are you ready to discover the secrets of this cult before it is too late? Or just tired of being asked all these questions?" Woo-hoo!
  13. Great trip report. I can't wait to visit this park!
  14. Yeah, mere seconds and he'd be a million dollars richer. Well, $900,000 richer. Losing the final challenge can be good strategy, looking back all the way to the first season. There's a good chance the person you choose to vote out at that point is a former alliance member, so you may be kissing one vote good-bye. In this case, Woo would have also had the advantage of being able to say "I would have brought Tony", giving the impression he's honourable, even if it was a lie.
  15. That's what I thought, but it's all new players. Some details here: insidetv.ew.com/2014/05/21/survivor-san-juan-del-sur-blood-vs-water-jeff-probst/ I'm happy about this. I also thought it would be returning players (ugh, again, really?) but that has tended to result in lopsided games.
  16. So many times we've seen a good player lose due to a bitter jury. I was glad to see the better player win. Woo taking Tony to the end will probably go down as one of the worst strategic moves in Survivor history.
  17. It was a lot of fun and nice to meet some people. Thanks for the opportunity!
  18. Great stuff, really makes me look forward to seeing some of this in person next month!
  19. When is the last day? I gave in and bought gold eggs but I still don't have Shary Bobbins. I feel like the game may have finally "jumped the shark" with this update, which is just more frustrating than fun.
  20. Tony definitely could be this season's Russell, although I don't think he's as disliked as Russell was. You can play an amazing game and get to the finals, but to win the game you also have to get a majority of jury votes. Like Russell, Tony may be missing this piece. The people who play Survivor are emotional, and juries votes on more than who played the best game.
  21. Yes, I believe it's $100,000 for second place and $85,000 for third place. Not bad for a month's effort. I imagine most people would be pretty thrilled to make the top three or five.
  22. I love it when the show doesn't proceed in a predictable way. Usually at this point there's several weeks of a dominant alliance picking off everyone else, with the previews trying desperately to make us think things might change. I wonder if the immunity idol with "special powers" will be found and come into play. No one seemed to find a clue at this week's reward. I'm guessing it's like the idols were at first, one that can be played after the votes have been cast.
  23. An article on the making of RCT4 Mobile: Making of Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 Mobile I imagine the picture of this new game next to the classics may feel some with rage, but the article gives a bit of insight as to what they were going for. I'll grant them that the coaster building is fairly well done for this type of simple iOS game. You can build some fairly complex coasters, even if there's no realism to them. If the initial idea was to re-create the original, why oh why didn't they do it? Fingers crossed that the PC version will deliver.
  24. I bought it, and it's pretty much what I expected it to be. I might go into more detail later, but it's basically CoasterVille or any similar game, but for mobile. For anyone else playing (based on comments, I'm guessing very few of you), my friend code is C2ECPC. The good news, is that at least for now, there's a decent amount of content that doesn't require premium currency (tickets). All of the food/souvenir buildings and attractions can be bought for coins. Building a coaster costs a minimal amount of tickets. I wonder however, if this will change as they add more content (not an uncommon tactic for this type of Freemium game). You can spend tickets to speed up construction, but I've never understood why anyone would spend real money to do so. Some decorations will cost tickets (90 tickets for a pirate or rainbow flag?!), but not all. The game seems to be somewhat generous with the tickets as well - you can earn five a day by sending to friends. I also earned a lot by shamelessly agreeing to spam all of my Facebook friends with game invites (one ticket per invite).
  25. I will totally second your comment that about the Grilled Portobello Mushroom & Polenta at Palo being one of the best dishes anywhere. Great report, makes me miss the Disney ships.
