  1. So? Does it affect you because you are so close to the boarder? It adds another 10-15% when paying for anything in USD. For small things it's not bad, but for something like a TPR trip, that can be in the range of $600. Personally I'd be happy if the CAD could stay around $0.90 USD, I remember how bad it was travelling in the USA when it was down below $0.70.
  2. It sounds like if you pay the initial $$$ fee you'll be able to access everything in the game without spending any additional real money. Presumably you'll pay extra to build and unlock things faster if you choose, but no content will be restricted to those paying more.
  3. Really good episode. I was surprised the idol wasn't played, but I guess you have to gamble a bit in the game and now LJ is in a very good position. I thought the merge was a bit early, but it has made the game much more interesting in a hurry.
  4. The brilliance of the original game is that it holds appeal for both casual players and the more hardcore ones. Want to just build a simple park with pre-made coasters, decorations, and rides? You can. Want to customize everything from track layouts, to colour schemes, to elaborate environments? You can do that as well.
  5. It looks like the CoasterVille game by Zynga on Facebook. I registered on the website and they instantly want me to get more friends to register. Ugh, micro transactions and badgering friends for help, there's just nothing to like about this at first glance.
  6. It goes to show you can be book smart but not socially adept. Not too surprising, really. One thing I don't like, is they don't seem to let these scenarios play out for very long. Why have three tribes like this and then merge after just a few challenges? On a side note, I'm downloading and watching the South Africa version of Survivor, season 5, and it's worth checking out if you want more Survivor in your life.
  7. I'm pretty sure I collected hearts without tapping. This is a good update. As a "social" game it needs a reason for us to visit neighbours, not just when there's a special event happening.
  8. I'm sad that the Khlav Kalesh stand doesn't come with the accompanying character.
  9. Even the descriptions of the updates in the app store are funny for this game.
  10. They're pretty similar, so I say go with the one that includes the twitter feed. Looks good.
  11. I managed to get everything off the wheel as of last week. Spinning the wheel is actually somewhat fun again now. $1000? Yay!
  12. Vytas voted for Monica. He said he told Tyson previously that if he voted him out he would vote against him in the end. Petty imo, but he stood by his word. I believe Jeff has said in the past that they will not invite back anyone that quit the game voluntarily. This was a pretty good season. I'm glad there are no returning players next time, as they have far too great of an advantage.
  13. The second-to-last community prize is out. I could click on him and the Grumple all day. "Grumply-grumply-groo" never fails to amuse me.
  14. Plus when choosing tasks it defaults to the longer choices. With these three changes they've really improved the gameplay experience I would say.
  15. The larger busses have started operation at WDW (photo courtesy of a friend of a friend).
  16. I saw that ad right before the show. Annoying to pretty much give away the ending. I would have been shocked otherwise to see a change like that happen right at tribal council.
  17. Very entertaining trip report. Looks like a lot of fun.
  18. I'm not a fan of returning players, as they come in with a huge advantage (i.e. Boston Rob returning and winning the game). It seems to have worked out okay this time. I guess it's easy to eat when Jeff lets the entire tribe share the food reward. It's nice and all, but why doesn't he stick to the rules?
  19. Paper fastpasses? What, no magic bands? So amazing, colour me impressed and jealous!
  20. I've never enjoyed watching photos via a YouTube slideshow. I want to be able to go through photos at my own pace, so this is something I would not personally view.
  21. I went to Fright Nights a few years ago and it was terrible. Horribly long lines and very disorganized. This was before they even started selling tickets assigned to specific nights. Hearing that they have introduced a front of the line pass might make going again worthwhile. Having used front of the line passes at USH and Knott's Halloween events, there is no way I'd do such an event without them.
  22. Looks like the perfect way to celebrate an anniversary, congratulations!
  23. Thanks to everyone who plays for helping me crack 10K. I'm still playing visiting neighbours daily with a focus on anyone with under 10K goo. Add me if you need help.
  24. I've added a bunch of people, starting with fellow newbies. I didn't get too far in the Whacking Day update, so I'm hoping I can actually complete this one. Being away from wi-fi for eight days won't help matters.
  25. Updated the front page, and request sent! Thanks! Thanks, I've accepted all incoming friend requests.
