  1. "Yes, the Rapid Pass card can only be used once per house and once per ride on five select rides and only on the date the card was purchased for." via http://frightnights.ca/guest-services.html
  2. I went last year on a rainy Thursday evening. It was raining pretty hard when we arrived for opening, which may have impacted crowds. We were able to do most of the mazes first thing with pretty much no wait. It got busier as the night progressed, and we waited 40 minutes for the newest maze later in the evening. We didn't do many rides, but the coaster was a minimal wait (while still raining). We left about 2.5 hours after opening. By then the rain had subsided and mazes had larger crowds waiting. They don't let too many people into a maze at a time, which makes for a good experience but it doesn't take very many people to have significant wait times. If you arrive early, you may be able to get a lot done with a minimal wait, but weather will impact this. You'll probably have no problem doing everything, but every haunt event I've ever been to (not just Playland) has long wait times. I imagine this event would be much more fun with the rapid pass in general. Even if i you don't need it at opening, you'll make use of it later to revisit any favourites.
  3. There is a current exploit in the game, that may or may not be corrected in the future. The tennis court in Springfield Heights was previously a premium item, and included a bonus to XP and money. It can now be bought without donuts, but the bonuses remain (despite not being mentioned in the item description). Buying them right now is quite useful.
  4. It's not as good as Family Guy's collect from every building at once mechanism, but it makes collecting a lot less tedious.
  5. It is here as well, once you advance in the quest line.
  6. Such a great addition. It was fine tapping on individual characters to a point, but with so many being added to the game all the time this was necessary to keep the game fun, and not tedious.
  7. I'll be in Malaysia and Singapore next February so this report is great. Really confirms that Universal Studios has a lot that is different from the North America parks.
  8. Level 58 is now out.
  9. Gotta love the ability to earn 5 donuts per week from the rail yard.
  10. I just unlocked Alice Cooper. I think I have almost enough to start Tomik but I might need them for something else so not sure whether to spend the bracelets or not.
  11. For Act 1 I read that there's a daily duct tape limit, not a limit on number of turn-ins, so it shouldn't make a difference whether you go for the small or large rewards. tsoaddicts has a calendar showing how much tape you need to collect to stay on track to unlock everything in this act: http://tstoaddicts.com/2015/08/24/monorail-calendar-act-two/ As of today you should have 24128 duct tape to be on track.
  12. Ah nice, the best of both worlds then. Thanks for the clarification.
  13. Looks phenomenal. It looks both familiar and original. I wonder why the Tron coaster isn't indoors, as it looks like something that's going to much more visually stunning in the dark. Are there any immediate plans for continued expansion? The ride count is still a bit low compared to other parks.
  14. I found the movie somewhat boring and disappointing. It was a case of more of the same, and was a missed opportunity to do something a bit different with the franchise. The trailer gave too much away, in the sense that the movie didn't expand on what we saw in the trailer. For example, in the trailer we see a brief shot of guests in kayaks. I thought that would be an interesting scene, when things go wrong and they're paddling for their lives. The problem is that scene from the trailer, which is a few seconds long, is all we see. There's no more to it. Several other scenes in the trailer are the same. I feel they didn't take advantage of the fact that there is finally a fully realized Jurassic theme park. Why don't we see the T-Rex chasing down guests in a monorail? Why don't we see the jeep full of guests trying to escape a dinosaur? Instead of using the theme park, most of the action takes place in the forest, and just feels like more of the same from the first movies. Only the Pterodactyl attack took advantage of the setting. Even the gyro-sphere scene doesn't feel much different than the jeep attack in the first movie. It was also absurd that the gyro-sphere could be controlled by guests. That would be like letting a guest drive the Kilimanjaro Safari vehicle wherever they pleased. I also noticed that the ride vehicle dispatched before the kids did up their safety belts. That alone might have been less realistic than cloned dinosaurs
  15. I really enjoyed the Fright Nights last year. Went on a rainy night, and got there early, so was able to do most haunted mazes with minimal wait. What I really liked is they only let a few people in at a time. A much better experience than when I did Halloween at Knott's and Universal Studios, where you basically snake through as one big conga line. Playland's Halloween mazes weren't as elaborate as those parks of course, but I preferred the experience.
  16. Apparently if you craft the maximum number of each item you will no longer get the drops. This means 2-3 of each item available.
  17. I think I might literally miss it by 20 minutes. If I can finish some quests just after 3:00 I might get the outfit just in time. Not going to spend any more clams after shelling out some real $$$ for the Star Trek characters.
  18. On the Family Guy Facebook page Seth MacFarlane mentioned further Star Wars episode of the show are highly unlikely as Disney is more controlling over their brands than Lucasfilm was, so the same likely applies to the possibility of game content.
  19. Yep, I did it with 5 characters, several already with a completed attack when he re-spawned, and I played the game if I happened to wake up in the middle of the night. I'm pretty much done everything so right now I'm doing the Borg away mission as often as possible for the clams. Earned 10 yesterday and 15 the day before.
  20. They have indicated there will be an announcement about helping players out in the final days due to a bug that caused the game to crash a lot recently. No idea what form this will take yet. I imagine it wasn't possible to unlock everything in this update if you didn't shell out some clams. I didn't mind because I love Star Trek and have played the game for free until now. I had no problem unlocking everything. I've also earned a few clams from the Borg cube away mission, so keep doing that hourly if you can.
  21. There is still another warp core upgrade and with it possibly more outfits to unlock. The content is great (the Simpsons game never bothers to get celebrities to voice characters), but the amount to do is a bit much. I'm opening the game every single time I'm notified a task is done in an attempt to keep up.
  22. They reduced the cubes required to start working on the Holodeck. The amount of dilithium needed for Kirk and Picard seems overly high.
  23. I finished unlocking Quagmire and Dr. Crusher in the last two days. I'm high enough level for today's warp core upgrade but I'm short 16 or so cubes to start unlocking Data.
  24. Blowing up the Peter ship seems to drop an item every time now. I'm making decent progress on Crusher and Quagmire. I still cringe at the number of quests there are, often with long tasks for characters that I need for getting items.
  25. I'm close to Lois and Locutus but man they don't make it easy. I really don't like how long it takes to collect phaser energy, and then of the ones you use you're lucky if one in four nets you an item. Q is now available and includes Klingon Meg if you also bought Worf and Guinan.
