What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Seems pretty good from what I've seen, and the Hulk was sorta on the rough side the last time I was there... which I believe was back in 2005? Can't remember. Anyways, the park looks great from what I could see. Not too surprised about the crowds in Potter World, but was it the most condensed area in the park? Meaning the most amount of people in one spot?

I'd also be kinda concerned about the weight of those attractions. A fiberglass tunnel sure is a lot lighter than a tubular steel track, and less complicated too (I think). Plus, having to install trains versus people just using lightweight inner tubes or even their own bodies. Granted, I can't stop giggling at the thought of the first Eurofighter or El Loco at sea. Edit: Then again, if there would be any coaster I would recommend they use, it'd be a sort of alpine coaster that runs along the edge like Aqua Duck.

Lotte World New Water park

Looks amazing, and something WhiteWater could only 100% supply. Can't wait to see more of it! -
Photo TR: TPR Hits Dubai

Looks amazing. Thanks for sharing your experience. I would love to get out to Dubai again someday, mainly to go to Abu Dabi and check out Ferrari World and the water park next door. Those small parks look decent enough for a visit from me as well, but I'm not sure I'd be able to get my party to want to visit something like that. -
True, but there were other prototypes by HUSS that never made it. For example, the first version of the Jump rides. They were clunkier, and they ran at certain fairs in Europe, according to some YouTube videos I've watched. Now they're nowhere to be found. There's also HUSS's Giant Top Spins, which I was lucky enough to ride at Kings Island as The Crypt before they had it removed. Wasn't very thrilling then, and was apparently too thrilling right after they changed it from Tomb Raider. Also, those Timber Towers have been giving parks problems in other countries as well, from what I've heard. -M "needs to give real sources instead of saying I heard from the internet." 82

^ 7/10 Split < Could probably knock those pins down... But like you said, maybe. v Can't remember the last time you went bowling.

Go to anybody who's a regular to Canada's Wonderland and ask them about Sledgehammer. Guarantee they'll tell you it's always having down-time. That, and the machine itself is massive. It takes up a huge amount of space for a ride that's not entirely "fulfilling," unfortunately. (Can't think of any other words. ) I know Ed's a big fan of having unique, and even first-of-a-kind rides, but for practical purposes I'd vote yes on the Air Race before something like Jump2 as well. Meh, just my opinion I guess. Still supporting my home park however I can, even though things still look a bit risky and shady; especially with the State Fair Board.

Many years ago as a little kid, I got into my parent's grooming kit and shaved my head into the opposite of a mowhawk (where the mowhawk should have been, was less hair. :3 I'm a black guy, btw.). They had to even it out so I had my hair near bald for a couple of days. Do you ever eat sandwiches or burgers upside down for any reason?

Dahlonega Mine Train at Six Flags Over Georgia is the first that came to mind. Ever had a painful experience related to getting airtime on a roller coaster?

I shouldn't be back here... again. But I am. Oh well. Keeping it short, I broke up with someone in a long distance relationship and took a break from them for a couple days (sorta/kinda avoiding internet and whatnot). Came back after a few days to say hi, found out that person moved on with someone else I knew... Agreed we could be friends, but frankly, it hurts seeing them together. So I took the liberty of avoiding them both as much as I could. When I look back on it, I realize I'm running from my problem. Not sure what to do about it, but continue doing that since confronting them has left me in a reeeealy bad mood. Weee! Venting personal problems!

My first cruise was on the Monarch of the Seas back in Spring 2009. I was totally blown away when I later learned that it was one of Royal's smallest ships (if not the smallest, I can't remember). My family and I had a WONDERFUL time on it! Granted, every single basketball and ping pong ball went overboard by day 3, I loved every single minute of it. My mom plans to take me on the Norwegian Breakaway this August. I'm not sure if it's totally "set" that we will go, but crossing my fingers for it!

Like they said, great update. I'd love to be able to ride an S&S launched coaste someday (probably Powder Keg, but we'll see What made the ride intense the most? The amount of airtime, heavy g's pulled, or the launch?

How well do you handle hangtime?
Midgetman82 replied to Vid_w's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Last roller coaster hangtime I can remember is Dare Devil Dive at Six Flags Over Georgia. That barrel roll out of the tunnel was amazing because of how steady it went through it. I did feel some pressure on my sides and me having to support myself when it rolled back on its upward side, but that wouldn't keep me from re-riding it. -
They look quite delightful! (Forgot what it was and had to look it up) Are you sick of the Gangnam Style song yet?

Why do you love TPR?
Midgetman82 replied to ambe_bambe's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Mainly the fact that I know I'm part of a huge group of people who are insane about roller coasters as much (sometimes more or less) than I am. That, and I actually have people I can talk about roller coasters to. Attending East Coast Bash this year reassured this as I saw awesome people while I was there! Some even knew about me before I met them, which was awesome! I also get to learn about amusement parks from all around the world and hear people's opinions on them, even if I'm going to visit them or not. -
"Intense" vs "Aggressive" Rides
Midgetman82 replied to A.J.'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I prefer aggressive over intense, mainly because I get a good laugh out of a coaster that has a great out of control feeling. My most recent example would be Rock Bottom Plunge. Super compact but throws you around so much! I find most coasters that are in a limited area tend to have more aggressive layouts, like spaghetti bowl launch coasters (Preferably Premier Rides lim launchers like FoF) or smaller Gerslauer Eurofighters. Let's also not forget rough-aggressive, like a good ol' Vekoma coaster. -
*Cough* Yep. For a while I thought it was only going to consist of my photographs and not a whole lot of reblogs... but then I ran out of photos to post and resorted to the mindless reblogging of things that caught my interest. Oh well.

I started college seeking a degree in Architecture, but then learned reeeealy quickly that it wasn't for me and moved to photography; a major that I think was better suited for me in the first place. (It'd be listed under Arts.)

^Then you missed out on one of Disney's most notorious creations in the history of Tomorrowland. Google Search: Alien Encounter ExtraTERRORestrial 9/10 Because the white text speaks the truth!

My eyes, they hurt! D: ...9/10 because it's original!

Any of you guys hang out on Tumblr a lot like I do and follow roller coaster blogs and tags, you might have seen a few of my photos circulate before. I've also used my fisheye a frighteningly amount of times (and don't recommend it as the use of a standard lens for your camera). If interested, you can find more on my Flikr account, Deviant art account, or whenever I post new ones on Tumblr.
