  1. Ghetto Hex ride?! That looks like a nice, small little park. Great TR!
  2. The worst coaster I've ever been on was the Great American Scream Machine in Six Flags Over Georgia. That ride was so rough, it kept slapping my back and behind my head.
  3. Zero-G Rolls on Flying, inverted, floorless, and sitdown B&Ms!
  4. ^^I KNOW RIGHT? (I might be 16, but I felt the same way 5 years ago and still do now.) Top five (shortened to three): 1. Montu 2. Deuling Dragons Ice 3. Batman
  5. I have read the rules and this thread, now I think I am ready. O' magical Title Fairy, I request a new title. Let it be whatever you want it to be, your majesty. I now humbly await your response.
  6. The ones in Europe don't do vertical either, but you are right because they are steeper and more intense. Source Source
  7. July 8 Day 6: More Roller Coaster Encounters Today involved two more interesting behind-the-scenes looks, Congo River Rapids and Sheikra. Then we got to ride more roller coasters. We arrive 1 hour before the park opened to the public. Kumba in the distance. Got a quick look at the Wild Surge. And the Jungala entrance. We get exclusive, behind the scenes of Congo River Rapids. Kumba is dead for now. They didn't turn on the water yet. Walking through the exit. Dry. This keeps the ride from starting. This is where it goes. Since they gave half the group one, they got to link theirs after mine. It says "Man Over Board!" I hope this never goes off. They gave the rest locks to put on another E-Stop button, then they showed us how to evacuate a raft on the lift. All of the boats were either on the conveyor lift, or placed in a holding area. We then got to walk the ride. Our guides. We walked halfway down the ride, then stopped to ask questions. After the questions, we walked back the way we came. This video is us walking back the way we came in the Congo River Rapids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEdlbxMp53g They'll say "Let there be water", after comes a completely big WHOOSH... then there's water, and they saw it was good! And this is where it flowed from. Still Dead. We went back to take the locks off, then we exited the ride. I wish we saw the ride starting. We made our way to Sheikra for a behind the scenes look. They were testing the ride when we arrived. Next, they led us to where they store the trains. There was only one train in here. Does Griffon have a circle splash box. Next, they led us to the ride control panel to show us how they operate it. Did, I mention that we did everything this morning 1 hour before the park opened? The best part was after they had tested the ride, they let us ride two times in a row without getting off! Comparing this ride to Kumba, I think Kumba is better because it's more intense. After getting off, we noticed that the park opened 30 minutes ago and very little people found their way to Sheikra. Only a kid and his dad got on this first thing in the morning. I thought this was cool. We soon walked all the way to the other side of the park to get multiple rides on Montu. After my second ride, I chose not to ride the 3rd because I was disoriented! So me and some others walked around the area a little. Who? Big Momma gon' do some cookin'! I like how this was a self tour, and it's something to do when you aren't riding Montu. Didn't take too many pictures inside... Except this one. Soon, we were given permission to ride as many rides as possible under 3 hours between Scorpion and Sheikra! Our big Group split up into groups of four, my group went to Cheetah Chase first. Then the almost painful Phoenix. Then Scorpion. Then we went back to Jungala and rode Wild Surge. It's kind of like Twilight Zone, except it's not. I think its a pretty fun ride. We tried to ride Kumba, but the line was too long, so half of us rode Congo Rapids; I didn't. I can't believe I was walking here earlier. Kumba screaming by. I pay to make people wet. This was pointless, especially at .00. Next, we rode Sandstorm. Then Cheetah Chase again. Then the whole group met up around the Cheetah. Performing in front of Jungala while we were leaving. Went back to the dorm to play some games before we went back. After games, we ate ribs. Inside, you can hear the trains rolling by. I approve of the ribs. Next was the closing ceremony which included. Family Feud, but it was campers, against counselors. A photo Slideshow. Awards Cake... And a party! That's all of Camp, but I went back to Busch Gardens the next day to take some extra photographs that aren't too special but might put in this TR anyways. So what was my coaster count for this whole camp? Sheikra---4 Kumba---2 Montu---3 Gwazi---2 (one for each side) Cheetah Chase---2 Scorpion---1 Manta---1 Kraken---1 Journey to Atlatis---1 Totaling to: 17 rides on 9 coasters (Including JTA)
  8. ^Yeah, I heard about those too. What colors will they be?
  9. Varies, my favorite being California Rolls. Do you prefer body slides over inner tube water slides?
  10. I use Google reader for my RSS feeds, but I think fatdaddy is right, twitter and Facebook is all I really need.
  11. July 7 Day 5: Discovery Cove and Movie Night Waking up pretty cold in the morning, we put our things together and went over to Discovery Cove. I didn't take too many pictures of Discovery cove so expect not too many pictures from this update. Waking up a little cold gathering our things to put them in the van. Camera Fogged up a little, but soon un-fogged for me to be able to take pictures. Beautiful sunrise in Sea World. We had a small breakfast in the Voyagers restaurant, we would have a bigger breakfast at Discovery Cove. The Theming is still nice! Looking up at the tower. The park was completely dead because we were in it before it ever opened. Seaworld let us go into one of their exhibits before we left to go to Discovery Cove. CHOMP, nom, nom Looks more scary in the picture than in real life. The best part is that we were getting a guided tour. Da Dum, Da Dum, Da Dum. Now we are done here at Seaworld, time to head out. Where we slept! Here's something weird, I've never been in Wild Arctic before so I've never been in the motion simulator it has. After a small van ride across the street, we make it to the deep Forested area of Discovery Cove. This place reminds me of Hawaii, but its not humid enough. The whole place looked great, like a resort but with no rooms. I gots me my ID badge and I'm ready to hit the water. Ooh, tropical. I thought these were cool! All of the buildings were made the same way. Signage here wasn't bad, at least they had a map nearby. When you go to get your vest or wet suit, you also get a bag that holds snorkel gear and special sunscreen that's safe for when you swim with animals. The whole place was very nice. Like I said earlier, I don't have many pictures so I'll tell you what we did today. First we got to go behind the scenes to where they prepare the fish they feed to the dolphins, and we got to see where they keep the dolphins when people do not interact with them. Next we went to a tent area for a sort of orientation and video, then everyone split up based on what letter was printed on your ID. I will tell you now, the area where the dolphins swim was freezing, but you better get used to it if you want to have the dolphins swim you back to the shallow end of the water. You are initially standing in 3ft of water, but if they call you to swim out then the water will get very deep and you have to keep yourself afloat for the dolphin to pull you back to the shallow end. The dolphin does come to your group in the shallow end and you get to pet it's back, fin and belly. Next you got to take a photo with the dolphin. I know, I know, I am not a super model: After swimming with the dolphins, you get to explore the place. There is a Bird Sanctuary, a lazy river, a Stingray pond (I call it a pond because it's shallow water), and a reef dive. My favorite thing to do was the lazy river because there were no inner tubes, you can use your snorkel gear, and the floor can go from 3ft to 8ft of water (there are noodles and life vests for people who can't swim). I also like the stingray pond because you stand in the water and wait for stingray to swim past you for you to pet them. There are moments when they let the people feed them shrimp. Now continuing the pictures after we came back, showered up, and emptied our lockers (the only thing you get to keep is th bag and the mouth piece of the snorkel gear). You can buy your own wet suits here. The gift shop. Everyone made friends with this guy. The group makes up 16 people (me being number 8), everyone liked to call him number 17! The cool map! The best picture I have of the lazy river. I don't know why I'm including this, but I have never seen an automatic water fountain before. Soon we jumped back in the van and made the 1 hour trek back to Busch Gardens. View from outside the building. We called our parents and watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail. ...then we went back in Busch Gardens to watch a different movie. The best part was that we used the 4d Theater to watch a non 4d movie. Another best part was that it was closed to the public. Another great par was that we got to sit anywhere in the theater. The not so good part was that the movie took over only half of the screen, but I didn't mind because we were watching The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I now leave you with this picture because after the movie, we went back tot he dorm and went to bed. Next update will be behind the scenes of two special rides, more roller coaster riding, and closing ceremony.
  12. Looks like a neat small park, nice tr. I never knew when Beech Bend would sell their Looping Star, now I know and it's good it found a new location.
  13. It's not multi quote, you just click the quote button, copy that quote, and paste it in a post that already has one or two quotes. You get used to it after a while.
  14. No too long ago, I accidentally hit the 'bump' button on one of my photo TRs that I am still updating, now I just finished an update and can't bump it. aww man.
  15. ^100%, curse the 10:30 A.M. ending time though. Do you prefer Waffles over Pancakes?
  16. ugh, that wait for Scorpion's Tail was what I was fearing. I rode that slide first thing in the morning when it opened and coming off, I saw a bunch of people lining up for it. Fun slide but not really worth a 1 hour wait, let alone 2 hours. I like your photos of the waterpark!
  17. You didn't finish your quote. put this: :after the word 'speed' to finish the quote. Edit: Agreed:
  18. Laugh only, you usually find me smiling going down a roller coaster.
  19. Not really, a lot of people have some down thoughts on it and I can see why. Would you ride a waterslide made completely out of Styrofoam?
  20. ...Floated over a waterfall into a jacuzzi holding a motorcycle in which Robb jump started and drove away with Elissa in the back. After a while of driving...
  21. We weren't saying that he was going to turn the whole park into a water park, I said it was nice that there was an expansion and Robb said that this park is starting to look more like a water park because of how there is a lot of waterslides coming into the Kentucky Kingdom picture.
  22. Those slides do look steep, thanks for sharing the photos.
  23. Yeah he's right, besides Thunder Run hurts a little now and water slides are popping up everywhere.
  24. ooh, over-reacted a little... . Come to think of it, I'm pretty exited for this waterpark expansion. It seems directed more to kids and family with a water theme, which I like because of the heat.
