  1. How do you know you won't like it if you haven't been on it yet?
  2. Well....... because it's not 4. Ooh ooh... now it's 6!
  3. It is for that very reason this article is complete nonsense
  4. Wow. Remind me not to get on your bad side. Well you know it really irritates me when something like this happens. If it turns out to clearly be the park's fault for not posting proper signs or following procedures that's one thing, and fine, shame on them, but when the proper signs ARE CLEARLY posted and the ride op follows proper procedure and this person makes a big stink about this because they didn't bother to read signs and think they are just automatically entitled to whatever is just BS! Even if at other parks he was able to ride, for some reason, and I'm sure there were signs posted there too having this finally happen puts an end to 'being able to get away with it' and if he had half a brain wouldn't he think while he was doing this..."hmm, there are signs that say I must have at least one hand to be able to ride, I wonder about that." No, he just continues thinking it's okay to do this, maybe that's a park's fault, maybe it's his, maybe both, but common sense would tell you something is odd about this- in most people. And of course, that really sucks that he has no hands and I can't even begin to imagine what that must be like, BUT, there are rules at parks for good reason and as their guest YOU must follow the rules or not be allowed to ride, it's that simple and not even to mention common sense- you break the rules- you don't ride- get out, and btw grow up and stop assuming the world owes you everything because it does not! DBru, you have nothing to worry about, it's just ignorant morons like this that sometimes I can't stand.
  5. Yeah, because it's not like CF doesn't leak 25,000,000$ deals to it's Dippin' Dot's vendors. She was probably tired of hearing about it for the millionth time.
  6. In this case no explanation was needed at all, the rule was clearly posted on an easy to find, easy to see, easy to read sign. If you didn't bother to read the rules on the sign, hands or no hands, it's your own damn fault. No lawsuit or anything, just take blame for your ignorant mistake you handless wonder and learn to pay better attention.
  7. How did I in any way suggest that no other ride has problems? As you said, the ride was having problems and you expected that seeing it was built by Intamin. Maybe I took it wrong but it seemed like you suggested a ride built by Intamin WILL have problems.
  8. The short sleeves only rule is in line with their idea that they want everyone dressed in summer attire.
  9. So why are you posting this on SFMM's thread and not SFDK's? Because of this post... Superman: Ultimate Flight up at SFDK hasn't begun testing, either...and it's supposed to open in a week. Gooooooo Six Flags!
  10. Looks like testing started at about 4:15 p.m. today.
  11. Apparently SFDK's ride may have just started testing according to Captain Lee's FB page. Captain Lee (Captain Lee is the park ambassador and spokesperson for Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. If he's not galavanting around the park, he's out and about keeping SFDK on the map!)
  12. I never black out, guess I need to drink more! Wait a minute, so out of a MILLION OR SO park visitors each year only about 20 file a report.... that number is so small is that even worth mentioning?
  13. Why not? Isn't tattoos and piercings the 'in' thing now..... what's wrong with that? I think it would be cool in these commercials to see a train load of 'normal' people with some riders covered in tattoos and body piercings sprinkled here and there.
  14. Wow, seriously? So a ride built by anyone else could not have possibly had any problems?
  15. Superman: Ultimate Flight up at SFDK hasn't begun testing, either...and it's supposed to open in a week. Gooooooo Six Flags! SFDK's ride is complete, only minor station work is left so they have plenty of time for testing and it would seem the same is true for LEX. It's a drop ride, how long do they need to test it for anyway? It does seem like waiting to the last minute though and if I was responsible for these rides successfully opening when they were scheduled to I would be nervous- what if something goes wrong that requires a lot of time to fix? Ah well, I don't have to worry about it so if it opens on time great, if it opens late, that's fine too. By the time I get to visit these parks both rides will be open so I will just wait for that.
  16. I like that park. You Sir are a moron, dat is how it is pepel!
  17. ^I'm just going to say... that's too bad you feel that way.
  18. Yeah pretty much 'the beans have already been spilled'.
  19. Actually eventhough the noodles and trims suck I still enjoy Revolution very much. Its a great coaster to go on that is MILDLY thrilling if that's whatt you like and the discussed improvements would make it that much better and that might appeal to park goers as more of a family friendly ride that the whole family can enjoy together. So in that sense I think it would be wise to invest in improving it. However, with the current state of things at that park I agree the focus for now should be on general park improvements. I would be very happy for new trains but if that doesn't happen it wont keep me from riding it.
  20. That makes sense. Most of what I have read about the noodle complaints is it locking further during the ride.
  21. I think it's safe to say THAT IS CONFIRMATION unofficially. How completely awesome this is and its FINALLY happening!
  22. It might except that the tower structure on that ride is completely different.
  23. ^Nice pic! So I went to IHOP (the one that is across the street from Great America) this morning and on the way there on highway 101 near the San Jose airport (take 85 to 101 and go towards Great America Parkway between the airport and the next exit Northbound) there is this 'Jumbotron' like billboard near the power plant that shows random advertising and one of the ads was for this ride and it just simply said 'opening soon'. Funny, this ad was for SFDK and their competitor is only one or two exits away.
