Agree with mcjaco. Besides, how can you say that? Are you actually there every morning before the park opens to judge what their maintenance practices are or should be? Do you really think they would knowingly be that stupid as to risk letting the public go on a ride that is not operating "in a safe manner" as stipulated by the state of California and possibly get seriously injured and sue the park? You should think a little before saying something like that. A ride does not have to be all shiny and pretty to run safely. It can look like crap and still be safe too. Saying you want Tatsu to 'run AT LEAST three trains' is strange considering there are ONLY 3 TRAINS to begin with. X run more than two trains- that's funny. When has anybody ever in recent memory seen it run more than 2 trains? If memory serves there is always one in rehab so only two are usable. Actually I think there are only two trains anymore. And I believe somebody said on here that if they ran 3 trains on X the computer would have blocking problems. Even if they could, because of the long load/unload times the capacity isn't gonna improve by much. If you've actually waited in line for X you would know that.

You obviously have not been on Great America's Grizzly. The ONLY wooden coaster Psyclone was able to surpass. Yeah really! Take 1 boring coaster, make it rough, and you have Grizzly. It is absolutely the most horrible wood coaster on the west coast, at least. If you have not been on it, don't even bother. The Barney Oldfield Speedway, which runs underneath it, is actually more fun.

Redesigned trains in the works for X

Actually to be more precise, the inside (yellow) rails support the train, the outside (purple) rails are responsible for seat rotation. As seen here: Your post was not misinterpreted, but saying 'third and fourth' rails can be confusing to some. But if you said inside or outside there is no confusion and the reader of the post would know exactly what you were talking about. That's all I was saying, I was just taking what you said and making it clear and concise and ANYONE who read my post then looked at the picture would know exactly what I was talking about. -

I doubt the retractable floor will be installed for the simple fact that those sections of track in the station that would be under this floor would have to be replaced with track pieces that kept the seats upright, and maybe a track section or two before and after that would need to be replaced to position them upright before entering the station and tilt them back after leaving it. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

^I agree. Now it is just sad and lame. Even pathetic. -
I access TPR mobile frequently and enjoy it. The only thing is 9 times out of 10 when I try accessing I get this "HTTP bad gateway" error. What is causing this?

PGA. According to the newsletter, the new attraction is 'sure to make waves.' (Last paragraph) http://newsletter.paramountparks.com/newsmaker/park_newsletter_article.aspx?c=4575&p=3&i=366 That's all the info I have at this time. So a new attraction is confirmed but just don't know what and I won't speculate on what it is.

Now that it is Cedar Fair, does anybody know what is going on for the 2007 season? I'm hoping for a new coaster which is badly needed but the last 'teaser' I saw mentioned something about water.

Personally, I never reall liked Psyclone and never got to ride Flashback. But, I also don't like it when a park removes rides like this (I guess because I still feel the sting of PGA losing coasters), I am all for improvements though and if it means doing this then so be it. I just hope that: 1.) This doesn't turn into a trend where more coasters are removed. After all, MM is known for having a great and totally unique collection of coasters and I would be really sad to see that get messed up. 2.)Whatever is done to replace these is well worth it and helps to improve the park as a whole. A great example of this would be, as many suggest, a transpotation ride that goes all around the park. Are the rumors of the train true? That would be ideal. A large park such as this sorely needs a ride like that just to help you get around. 3.)If these are not being replaced with new thrill rides then at least I hope some great places to eat with really good food would go in their places. I think we can all agree that theme park food is not really known as being all that great. And I don't mean fast food, it would have to be a nice sit down place like California Pizza Kitchen, or Red Robin's, or maybe even like a Marie Calender's or something- you get the idea.

Let me see if I got this right. On a 'regular' coaster car the guide wheels are usually with the rest of the wheels and depending on the configuration ride on the inside or outside of the same track the upstop and running wheels do. But, on S:TE there is a separate guide track in between the regular track that is just for the guide wheels only- in other words the guide wheels are in the middle of the car instead of on the outsides, right? Still think it would be neat to see a picture of the underside of the car. Does one even exist?
