Actually that is NOT duct tape, do you really think duct tape would stay in place??? That is actually metal, probably aluminum because it is easy to manipulate, that they bend around the bolts to keep them from turning loose on their own, kind of like a lockwasher. Duct tape....are you kidding me?

^could not agree more! Dont even try to blame the park for something you caused, something that is your fault, only yours, and yours alone. Yes this is sad but you know what lady its your own damn fault! Themeparks are not daycare centers and are not responsible for you doing your job as a parent and watching your child. So the only falure here is you being a good parent. The park did all they could and you should be thankful for that but you are the one who has to go thru the rest of her life knowing it was your own fault and only you could have prevented this. Makes me really angry your neglegence caused a kid to die. The park should be suing you for gross neglegence that led to death. So angry about this, stupid parent.

That is sad how you can cause something that is totally your fault and then turn around and sue somebody else for it, pathetic. I guess they were due for an accident 6 in 31 years, that is about 1 every 5 years on average. I must point out that over the last 31 years millions visited the park without incident, millions! That almost makes this 6 look like nothing. Eventhough that is 6 too many, when it comes down to it the park is really safe. Whatever the cause and outcome of this they will take steps to prevent this from happening again. I would just like to know when did it become okay to have a child supervising a younger child in a pool, and a wave pool at that. Something is terribly wrong with that and what makes me angry is there are parents that see no problem with this. Then look what happens, an innocent child has to pay with his life for his parents lack of caring. Thats right, his parents lack of caring. How truly sad.

I prefer it when it had more coasters. When Stealth and GL were still there, and Grizzly was a halfway decent ride, good times. It's not like there is no room for a decent coaster now either, or even two. Time will tell.

If this was true, it would be the second time one drop ride was removed and replaced with another drop ride. Or maybe it would not be a complete ride replacement just a modification of the existing one. Nah, too silly.

I just hope they cram a good coaster or three in that park, at this point I do not care if they are themed or not and if they are going to be, none of this movie or tv stuff.

Wow, this is a really odd turn of events and an even stranger sounding name. I have grown up with this park. From the Marriott's Great America days, all the way through KECO and Paramount and now Cedar Fair. It has always been Great America in some form but I truly don't understand this Knott's thing. How is this park related to Knott's? It's like when you have two really different things and you try to put them together and it just doesn't work. A lot of people talk down about this place but I don't care. This is my home park and I will always support and defend it no matter how silly or rediculous things may become. I only hope that this means there are only good things to come. Because to me, this will ALWAYS be GREAT AMERICA.

I have fond memories of this park from my childhood visits and I really hope it improves, that would make me very happy.

Too bad I missed his post before it got deleted, I'm kind of curious what was said, although the name calling I could do without but if I had seen it I probably just would have laughed and been mildly entertained *yawn*. I don't mean to belittle anyone. I'm just trying to state the facts as I know them to be from my own experiences and from the information given on this site by others who are in the know. If you are going to state something and are wrong about it you should be prepared for responses that give the correct information and maybe constructive critisicism. I do not ever claim to know everything or always be right about comments I post but I will NEVER resort to name calling because I don't know the correct information about something and someone is telling me what it is.
