It's just a show, try to enjoy it, put all your picky-ness aside. I'm picky about this stuff too but I'm not letting it ruin the show for me. After all, when a grown man screams like a little girl you have to admit that's pretty funny and it's better than nothing. -
They could always throw another B&M in there and fill it with sand like Medusa, the trains on that ride glide so silently along the track. Ah screw the neighbors! They need to just put in something big and loud! Since the stadium, if It does get built, would be a lot closer to the residential area, won't the noise from it from games and events bother the neighbors? If a big, noisy, lousy stadium can be built they then I see no excuse for not allowing more coasters.

When would an announcement regarding a possible 2011 attraction be made? Obviously we hope its any kind of decent coaster to end the drought but I'm dying to know. I'm thinking an Intamin megalite could easily fit where the woodie was supposed to go, or even some kind of Maverick/Farenheight clone....anything! And, I believe it wouldn't be as loud as a woody so the bitchy neighbors won't complain (but they will anyway). With everything that's been going on I'm very curious about this.

^not only that but how is it that a guest was "allowed" to open this gate in the first place? I wonder exactly where this gate was? All I can find on the local news here is exactly what was posted, just about every station has exactly the same story....although some say someone and others say it was a guest that pushed this gate. Curious, how does a metal gate pushed by someone, hitting a tram, cause a "protruding injury" to someone? It couldn't have been moving that fast- did they throw it at the tram or something? Here is a link to local news video.... cbs5.com/video/?id=67039@kpix.dayport.com

It's a flume ride, it's not exactly going to be careening through the course. It looks like a very enjoyable ride, a nice relaxing way to cool off on a hot summer day. -

I'm really liking this show more and his girl-ish screaming on the rides is really funny. I just saw the episode for the Stratosphere and seeing him jump off the side of it totally made me want to go and try that! And besides that the guy's name is "Bert"- can it get any better? -

Really like the show. The way he freaked out on the rollback was classic! Could they have purposely caused the rollback just for the show? Where did this guy come from? The way his face contorted during the launch was funny. So far this is the best episode. -

Could you imagine the velvety smoothness of a B&M version of the 4D with spinning seats and no head bashing? My mouth is watering! -
What park should have an Intamin Mega-Lite?
Tmcdllr replied to Montuman99's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It would be a perfect fit in the spot where the woodie was supposed to go and with this type of coaster I don't think the bitchy neighbors could complain about the noise. -

Wow, I just watched a POV of this ride and I see why this coaster is so highly rated, it really looks like a lot of fun. -

"Now it is very important to gather the facts..." I think that is the important thing to remember. Thanks Robb for even posting that eventhough you really don't have to, I for one appreciate anything you are able to pass on and also thanks to the park for even taking the time to do so with this going on. (Robb I think I can understand your frustration with this thread). I won't speculate as to the what/how/why this happened because I simply DON"T KNOW and to sit here and say "it happened because of this" and "I think this thing is what went wrong" when I really have no clue would be a waste of everyone's time, I will be happy to wait for the facts to come out about this instead of making up a bunch of useless crap. The only other thing I will say about this is the pics gave me the chills and obviously the safety systems in place did their job and for that I have to say thank you Intamin! I can only imagine what kind of horrible noise this must have made but it's very good that no one was seriously hurt. Ok I'm done. -

I just watched the POV and all I can say is.... OMFG!!!! That is one hell of a ride! I can't believe how fast it tears around the track. This is the first coaster in a while that I have seen that actually looks scary and incredibly fun to ride.
