^And height of the railing. But to my question, that requires a lot of fixing. Isn't there a way for them just to be built steel automatically? If not, sorry for my ignorance. EDIT:^^ Not to moderate, but please use proper grammar and spelling. There's a wonderful spell checker build in to the forums. I would be lost without it sometimes.

Holiday Park Discussion Thread

From what I understand, when they turn the ride over to the park. Sure, they are still on hand for support, and if there is a flaw in the design of a ride it is my understanding that a manufacturer has certain contractual liabilities to address them, but in the case where a cable system or a train has been working just fine for 9 years of service, it might be more questionable where or if any blame lies. And you can continue to try to point the finger anywhere you'd like, but there are cases where "sh1t happens!" Aren't there also cases in which the subcontractors are to blame? What about shipping companies that may have caused damage? Or even the company that assembled the ride? I know these can't possibly relate EGF because of how long it has been operating, but that being said, couldn't they *theoretically* be suspects on other, new-ride accidents? -
Everyone always says when they play the Rachmaninoff piano transcription of Flight of the Bumblebee that it was the original and then somebody else made it for orchestra. Wrong, IDIOTS!!! And also with the same theme, people say that it should be played in under a minute. (throws hands up in frustration) The original was just over 3 minutes long at the speed indicated by the composer, a Mr. Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov!!!! Somewhere, those that play it in under a minute aren't playing at least HALF of the music, maybe less!!!! Or...They aren't playing the original music!!! I detest any professional musical performance that does not use the original music or is a 1:1 transcription of the original! No more arrangements!! I think I've made my point. /rant.

A merge of #1 & #2 or #1 & #3 seem the best. If you can only do one picture, #2. -

Great pics, Hanno! Who cares if they're a little darker? It's still theme park porn for us, especially with that mine train looping coaster! Hope you have a great time at Walibi World and the other one! (name escapes me) -
The park looks pretty good! I do have one major criticism, however. You simply have too many coasters in that park for the number other attractions. I think only a kiddie coaster and an intermediate-major coaster as all that is really needed at this point to attract guests. And, it's a lot cheaper, so the park has some money left over for future attractions, like that waterpark, for instance. Too many coasters make the park look crowded and cheesy. Might I recommend using the extended coaster and making it an X-car/Skyloop type ride as the major coaster? Or you could possibly leave the woodie or Schwarzkopf instead. They're good crowd-pullers.

Ohh...there's a park in Australia named SeaWorld....ohhh.... I was only thinking of San Antonio, Orlando, and San Diego. -

^Which SeaWorld has a monorail? I though the defunct one near LA had a monorail back when it was open... -
An artist and an auto tuner. I think you meant performer or player. Artistry involves originality and if they only record the song, it's not an artist, merely a performer. If they actually compose it, it's artistry. Would you call someone who photocopied the Mona Lisa an Artist? Hopefully not. (It's actually illegal) But I kinda get your point. What about the .3d airtime hill shapes you've used. Don't they count as 'tools' (used loosely). Like a conductor and a metronome, this time?
-
Jarmor-are you opposed to using tools? They can be blended into handbuilding if you set everything up right. They really do help. Sometimes, there's an element you can't get right, and Newton2 allows you to input the beginning height, speed, rolls, and forces, build from that base, and export as an element so that everything fits together like a huge puzzle. Or you can do everything in Newton2.

If someone told Dick Kinzel to act as old as his management strategies, he would surely die. On another note, This thing looks WICKED! I thought it would be 'meh' when it slowly ascended the multiple ramps and I thought surely one would launch it up the hill, but it exceeds expectations! And it's continuous circuit lifts the capacity 100%! Short(er) lines all the way!

^^I find it ironic that that flutist is playing a modern, silver-plated western concert flute in C, whilst Celtic flute/fife/oboe related instruments were made totally of wood, had no keywork (only holes) or were reeded without keywork. Why name it Celtic Fyre if they can't even convincingly theme it to the average 14 year old? My little criticisms...I might require mental help.

Regarding Earth view; If anyone ever gets the chance, never look up WDW in Earth view. It looks like they *almost* tried, but totally bombed everything possible. The Spaceship Earth is, well, an eyesore, Cinderella castle is very short and fat, and Expedition Everest was well...not as bad as you might think it could be. But there are little tree stand ins that are annoying! Eh, KK and TTD looked promising. /sorry, end rant On topic now, How do they get the footage? Moving vehicle? -
No, I lock the lateral forces at zero. But the end result in the sim is .7. Newton2 has flaws, unfortunately. It's probably a very similar method to yours, you just described the very effect I achieve. Make a multi-zone force style loop with .3-.7 sextic force transition, add roll, fix centers with timewarping....eh, along the lines of that. I honestly don't even think about it anymore. Now double takes and top hats....on the other hand....I just have no clue how to do.
-
^^ I'm not sure there really is a sure-fire way of making flatspins on inverteds. Newton2, if you use sextic and leave about .3 Gs works out at about .7 lateral Gs depending on the current speed. Also, in Newton2, in some cases, Make each transition timewarping , switch to bump where applicable, and lower the tension below 0. -50 is about as tensionless as possible but there are downsides for everything. No clue for handbuilding.

Nice photos! I've never been to a fair outside the U.S., so it's interesting to see a Eurofair! Half pipe looked like a neat ride and reminded me of the concept art for Vekomas Big Air, but on a smaller scale. What does 'tivoli' mean? It's in a bunch of fairs' and parks' names, so I thought I would ask so not to make a fool of myself. -

I do say that this is beautiful writing. Perhaps the Boston Pops play the The Year of 1812 (1812 Overture) to accompany the blasts coinciding with the 16 cannon shots written in the score by Tchaikovsky himself, and aiming the cannons directly at the base of the lifthill? Or roasting marshmallows and singing campfire songs will work just as nicely. -
Only when she is being consumed by flames at a high speed. Has anyone in your household been told a hilarious, easy to get joke and they didn't get it.... Ever?

Neat park and have fun the rest of your time in Greece! Kinda weird that they have signs in English and menus in Greek. It definitely has tons of potential for full out theming on every ride. But it might be lacking in the money department seeing as it is so small and its main attraction is a 35 foot tall flume. So much potential...sigh Planning on visiting other lesser known parks? -
