I personally didn't find any of them too terrifying, but my personal favorites are Happy Jack's Toy Factory and Terror Island, just for sheer uniqueness. They both have really cool stunts. I have also heard that CornStalkers is good, but alas, I have yet to try that one out. -
We watched Yo Gabba Gabba in Physics class today. I have no idea why, but it was pretty freaking amazing!

^I agree with that statement down to the word. I was going to just try and ignore this whole mess and let it play out, but that action just screams "unprofessional" to me. -

KABOOM! That was the sound of the interwebs exploding all because of a wooden coaster. I'm going to sit back now and see how this ends. -

Two million was also how much it cost to rebuild the Belmont Giant Dipper as well, I think. This whole thing actually is a lot like Giant Dipper, it seems. Someone buys it but it sits for a while, some more people buy it and can't raise any money to do anything with it, so it sits some more. Except with Giant Dipper, an ACTUAL PLAN was formed (albeit some time after the purchase) with developers and led to the formation of an entire COMPANY to support the project, on top of fundraising and federal grants. So, theoretically, it could happen, but not without the "magic" better known as money, and a plan of attack, and even IF all of that happened, there probably wouldn't be results for years. That coaster will be sitting in the back of a lot of people's pickup trucks for a long time until someone releases a plan. -

That would make sense. I guess I never noticed it when the ride was still at GL. But it still is a nifty little thing, nonetheless! -

I just looked that thing up. I had no idea that it existed! Do all B&M's have that? I don't really see how the brakes would get in the way of operating it. I would assume that it was designed to fit through the space (simply not having the bar on the bottom of it that the brakes squeeze to stop the train). But maybe I'm misunderstanding the question? -

This thread is like a car crash. I... just... can't... look... away... I wish there was a way to hide threads so that I could prevent myself from reading all of the nonsense that is being spewed by everyone. It is deplorable. It's fine if people are excited, but that doesn't give them the right for either side to bash each other. People need to be more level-headed about this whole thing, and let it take its course of events. Even if you are rooting for the success of the project, just remember, the higher one's hopes go, the harder it comes crashing down. A wait-and-see attitude is the way to go at this point. -

^Good luck with the Saturdays. I would rather wear gloves than have to wait 2 hours for anything. I actually find it fun when it's cold out. It's... different. And having lived in Cleveland my whole life, I guess I'm used to it. But if you could find a way to go on a Friday, it is worth it. It is eerie walking through the park and the scarezones with virtually no one there. -

Sooooooo... stepping away from the three pages of Mean Streak (how is it that this thread always manages to make pages upon pages of non-discussion? Weird...), I thought I'd share a few thoughts about Halloweekends from Sunday the 26th. As always, the crowds were pretty light. Most rides were a walk-on or close to it most of the day (although Maverick's wait did get up to an hour, a testament to its popularity, I guess, especially since TTD and MF had VERY short waits all day...), but of course, this being Halloweekends and all, there were lines throughout the day for the houses. I had never done them before, and I actually found them all to be 'decent' at best. Happy Jacks was my personal favorite, not because of the scares, but because there were some really 'cool' things in there, and fantastic actors. The Asylum was decent, but there really wasn't much to it. On a side note, there was virtually no one at Club Blood. Maybe it's because people forget that it's there, or every person at CP that day was on Team Jacob. I cannot give you an accurate conclusion. So, overall I prefer the outdoor attractions (at least I did last year...) and I do appreciate the lack of gore. Gore is not my thing. And although the houses aren't the best, I still found them worth checking out. -

Best Drops....

Although I'm tempted to say Millennium Force, one of my favorite drops has to be Gemini's first drop. It is just fantastic and floaty, and different. And I ADORE it's headchopper drop, especially on the Blue side. It is so fun to throw up your hands at that moment and freak out everyone on the train. For wooden coasters, I'd have to go with Jack Rabbit. That double drop is pretty excellent!
