Hi there! I'm Ethan, and I live in Olmsted Falls, which is about 50 minutes away from Cedar Point. I've been reading these forums since probably around 2005, and I felt that it was finally time for me to get an account. I'll say stuff when I have stuff to say, but right now I don't, so I won't.

I was there yesterday too, and they did turn the water effects on for a bit, but then everything shut down again. Oh well, it's 'whatever' for me at this point. Hopefully they will fix the kinks in the off season, and maybe notice that it's a bit too wet of a ride. But in other news, I toughed it out for my first front seat ride on Millennium Force! It was running GREAT, but the massive clouds of bugs were a bit painful

I don't think that anyone should comment too much about wait times just yet, especially since it hasn't been too hot up near the lake these past few days, and that it hasn't even been operating for a whole week yet. At least wait until July 4th weekend, or even until mid-July, to decide if it's popular.

Does it creep along as it does in the POV? It seems awfully slow...

I've always been a sucker for a good dark ride. Except when I was five and went on WDW's Mr. Toad. That thing scared me like no other, and I wouldn't touch another dark ride until I finally got the courage to go on the Haunted Mansion a few years later. For whatever reason, I've had a love affair with the Omnimover ever since I discovered its glorious existence, so any ride that uses it is OK in my book . Haunted Mansion, Spaceship Earth, and POTC are probably my favorites on my pitifully short dark ride list, but I enjoy Whacky Shack a lot as well.

I hear you loud and clear. I've been looking for a job since last June. 40-ish applications later, still nothing.

My first coaster with inversions was Scorpion at BGT, and let me tell you, I was terrified my first time! But I have been hooked on 'bigger' coasters ever since that first ride.

I'm not trying to hate on B&M or anything, I just don't see a reason for a Dive Machine. It's not like I wouldn't ride it or anything, because hey, a coaster's a coaster and if it's fun than that's fine with me, it's just that I'd rather see something more... exciting... Beware the evil steep drops !!!!!!!! I like that

I still don't entirely understand why everyone wants Cedar Point to get a Dive Machine. There are already enough rides with vertical, near-vertical, or past-vertical drops, so why build another? It seems too gimmicky and pointless. But that's just me...

It's a shame that this type of coaster has pretty much died out. If someone managed to do it right and build one that wasn't as 'meh' as most of the currently-operating ones, then it could turn out to be a good ride.

I thought that the tickets (if implemented) would be used to get seats in this 'priority/best views' area without causing every person in DCA to cram into that tiny area. I know the rides were stopping, but I didn't think that they were going to close the entire walkway... are you sure about that?
