Reservations for us were no problem. We made some right at the airport station in Narita for 10 days in advance and we made some 10 minutes before the train left! (it was a spur of the moment get to universal thing!) If you do some research you will find dates of when they tell you to make sure to have a reservation because they do sell out occasionally. This is usually during holidays. As for luggage...on the Shinkansen there is plenty of room for anything. It is the smaller trains that during rush hour can be PACKED! About 3 weeks after it opened...apparently it was the first ever valleying! It was pretty funny watching all of us coaster dorks at the front of the line leave, and the GP making fun of us...I do wonder how long they all stood there thinking the ride was going to open! Gosh this was a hard one... I had to keep reminding myself that the contest was "other uses" for the castle...in that respect I couldn't vote for derek's (even though it was my favorite!). I went with the Castle Loofa!

I think a bunch of people already answered your question! 2 Choices: 1. Crane to winch it to a position where it can either make it to the lift hill or back to the station. 2. Take Train apart and rebuild it in station! I would vote for #2, but that's after seeing Cedar Point take apart MF which had valleyed and get the ride back open the same day. VERY IMPRESSIVE. I would now expect the same from SFMW!
