Another accident - this time in Denmark
SharkTums replied to Steffen_Dk's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Being that the article is in Danish, care to translate for us? -
Robb and I do trips on our own, or with close friends about once every few months. We'll be doing 3 Official TPR Trips next summer. We'll build our own park when we win the lotto.

Hey everyone! While I was sitting at Jury Duty last week, my parents were touring around the west and made at stop at Park City, UT. There they checked out the 3rd Alpine Coaster in the US (and the longest) as it's supposed to open in a few weeks. Here are some photos: From the chairlift you can see how big this ride will be! I believe they said it's around 4000' long. The coaster even has a nice net structure so you don't die if you fall off! This thing is going to be great going in and out of the trees! Park City also has a high speed zip line attraction that runs over the alpine coaster. Yeah, still a lot of work going on. Too bad these were the only two guys doing anything! Here you can see the 4 Lane Alpine Slide and the new Alpine Coaster. Right next to each other! My parents didn't seem to think it looked like it would be ready by early August!

^Because Worlds of Not So Fun is just that awesome!!?!? Seriously. At a park that has like a 6 month off pretty mild off-season that's pretty pathetic. Although they already killed that ride a long time ago so I don't think it matters anymore!

Speed--The Ride in Vegas

Mandalay Bay is really nice. IMO, it's too far south on the strip (resulting in a long walk/ride/monorail to get anywhere else) but the resort itself is great. Nice pool area, nice ambiance, great food!!! Make sure to eat at Wolfgang Pucks Italian Place, it's awesome! We eat there every time we go! THE Hotel is owned and operated by a different group and is separete from Mandalay Bay even though it's the same hotel. THE Hotel rooms are nicer and are more of a conciere experince compared to the normal Mandalay Bay. As for Manhattan Express, I"m pretty sure it still hasn't run the new trains with people yet. Robb and I will be there in a few weeks and will let everyone know! -
We're looking into doing one in Florida at some point. But we're not going to fly to <> for no reason. Sorry.

Six Flags Magic Mountain!?
SharkTums replied to hifalling's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^Why would you walk all the way around the mountain, up the mountain, then back down to the station??? If you're going straight to Tatsu, cut through Revolution's Exit and right to the Rapids Camp area. -

^Possibly. My parents have stayed there a few times and say that it's nice, but I would NOT stay there. As far as I'm concerned, it is NOT on the Strip. It is in this horrible dodgy area between the crappy north strip and crappy downtown. I wouldn't feel safe walking anywhere there. -

Yeah, if money isn't an issue, then Circus Circus shouldn't even be on your list!!! It's kind of scary. I always stay at Monte Carlo because the food is "Elissa Friendly" and it's in a great location. Your mom is talking about Caesers, but I think that's a little far north on the strip now compared to where all the action is. Bellagio is very nice, but has absolutely nothing to offer you unless you're over 21 and have a lot of money. Mirage seems to be quite 'dated' and looks very 80's in my opinion. You'll have a great time, make sure to eat some good food! -
^No you didn't, and please clean up your posts!

I'll dress like that for you anytime!

I really like the food at Panda Express...but the service is always sooo terrible!!!

Six Flags 2006 Poster Map Exchange

Once again... I have *lots* of SFMM maps that I'm willing to trade for ANY other map. -
It's usually a really good time to go...except you should check when 'Jersey Week' is. (A lot of schools in the NE have a week off in October. Still, you're better off going in October then probably 10 other months during the year!
-
Still not done as of a couple of weeks ago. It was supposed to be for like 2 years ago, then last year, then this year...honestly, the way they're putting it together it looks about 3 - 5 years away still! You can go ride a clone of it at Kiddieland in Chicago if you want!

Little A-Merrick-A is not in the dells, it is about an hour away.

Don't you have express passes for IOA / Universal??? In that case, I would MAKE SURE you do Blizzard Beach for opening, as the lines can get really bad in the afternoon there. Even if you don't have the passes for IOA / Universal, you should still do Blizzard Beach for Opening.

^Just be careful you don't go for Solace!

The hotels at the Dorney Exit always seem to be VERY expensive for what you get. Go a few exits away and you'll find hotels in the more normal price range.

The line was pretty long today, but at least it was running 2 trains today. Heck, it was running a lot more than Tatsu today!
