  1. ^^If the way that's reported is true, that's almost worse than the Texas Giant accident!!! Do we have any more details on this? It also confirms my not so irrational fear that I don't like to ride water rides with restraints that I can't get out of on my own.
  2. We have ZERO details about the accident so I wouldn't say ANYTHING DUMB like that!
  3. ^That's a good question. Back in 2009 I would have said SFDK without hesitation as it was a shining jewel of the Six Flags chain, seemed more like a Sea World or Busch caliber park. Plus CGA was looking like crap since everyone figured they were about to close! After Robb's latest Bay Area Visit though, he feels that the tides are turning and that CGA looked fresh and had great staff, whereas SFDK was on a downward trend. We've always noticed in markets with two decent sized parks, there always seems to be one on the way up and one on the way down. They flip flop this position every few years for sure, but it just never seems like both can be doing well at the same time!
  4. Agreed. And there's already one at a sister park 3.5 hours away! Although, this is Cedar Fair, which brings me to the fact that my guess is now a slightly bigger but more boring Diamondback!
  5. If they go with this they better come up with a better name than Lake Monster!!
  6. If it's only $20 for the Quick Queue I would for sure grab it! It's summer, hot, stormy, and the park could be filled with Brazilians!
  7. ^I realize the park is possible to get to, I'm just saying it's not possible on our trip with the closest park we'll be at over four - five hours away!
  8. ^Thanks, and she did fine on GASM at SFOG last year which I felt was a bit rough so I'm thinking she can handle it!
  9. ^I agree. Love the Parachute tower and it's quite a thrill for the lower height restriction kids it can accommodate!
  10. What a great looking park! Plus I see one of our favorite inside joke signs from the last Scandi Trip...OBS!!!! What a great word! Bill, if you look at a map you'll see this park is impossible to hit on the Scandi trip, it does however give me more incentive for one of those Norwegian Coastal Cruises as they port nearby for a day!
  11. How many times did you ride the best ride in the park? I'm talking about Treasure Hunters of course! Love the whole Sentosa complex, it's like a giant cruise ship private island of fun! Can't wait to go back!
  12. Bummer to hear about Judge. I've had a few people warn me about it this year as KT's tall enough to ride but I also don't want it to give her brain damage!
  13. This is great news! It gives us a reason to go to Perth on our next TPR Australia Trip! It also helps with the coaster count so we can do another TPR Australia Trip! Please keep us updated!
  14. ^We may have told everyone that story on the bus!
  15. I seriously don't know what to make of Spain right now. Sure I get that they're having a lot of trouble with their economy, government, strikes, etc. and a lot of parks have cut down on their hours and operating days, but then you see how busy Port Aventura is and you realize it's just an excuse being used by crappier parks! I have a lot of people wanting to do another TPR Spain Trip, but we can't yet because of schedules and issues with the country! I do love the Port Aventura Resort though, maybe we'll just do a 'mini-spain' trip!
  16. Oh joy, another B&M. At least it won't be a wing rider!?!? <>
  17. Rodney asked me to build a big chair statue, I spend 250,000 bells building it the last week, and he doesn't even come to the ceremony this morning! What a jerk! I went to go talk to him later and he didn't even mention it! I swear, if he wasn't a hamster I'd kick him out of town!
  18. ^It will happen again, guaranteed!
  19. I've always found those flight/hotel combos to not be a deal at all. There are plenty of great hotels in Dubai that aren't crazy expensive.
  20. Don't know much about this convention but I think Orlando would be awesome for it and I would even try to attend. I know that even comiccon kicks people out for certain costumes and outside of the convention area you'd have to abide by Disney rules but I really think it would be a great amount of fun for the SciFi fans. Sure beats the hell out of Spokane!
  21. ^Yeah, but we don't care about it cause it's Australian!
  22. ^^We were actually discussing while at Hollywood Studios why the groups haven't left the Orlando/Florida area yet. It seems like they'd be much better at parks like Six Flags than the Orlando ones! I mean, can you just imagine thousands of them at SFMM! PERFECT!!!

    Guide to Tokyo

I always use www.kayak.com to check flights and keep an eye out on prices, then book with the actual airline website.
  24. I just want to say how awesome and refreshing it is to see a park working on their 2014 ride now! Can't wait to ride this next year!
