  1. Ride is forceless but it's an all-around great addition to the park. You can get disoriented with all the direction changes, mainly off the Zero-G roll into the curve for the first flat spin. All in all, I enjoyed my rides on it this weekend, and it's a great addition cause that thing will eat some lines. Just too creepyly quiet and that mag brake on the brake run is a very nice touch.

  3. They did outsourcing for Premier Rides, they built the Mummy trains and the cars destroyed were heading to PKI it sounds like for Italian Job http://tv.ksl.com/index.php?nid=5&sid=154281
  4. They may have done outsourcing for S&S/Arrow or Interactive Rides, however I'm not sure as Arrow used Intermountain Lift for their contract work, so not sure if S&S kept them as a contractor after the purchase of Arrow. Could of been for anyone in the industry. ARM uses Larson .. so who really knows.

  6. I've never had a HUGE problem getting to Belmont, but last time we went, Belmont was PACKED. There was no parking anywhere, so we decided to hit the San Diego Zoo and came back to Belmont on a Monday, crowds were alot less. Hopefully everything will work out, it should be our first stop once arriving at SNA on Friday.
  7. Hopefully it's open that Friday when I'll be swinging by for a quick ride.
  8. Blazing Fury and Fire In The Hole are the same. Imagine a powered scenic railway enclosed with 3 drops. The final drop is pretty long and theres a splashdown that gets your a bit wet. The Cobra I think, if I recall is pulled up the spike by a winch (similar to Vekoma's GIB's) and then released.
  9. The PAX Cobra was set to debut at the State Fair of Texas in 2002, but due to Russian laws, the ride was cancelled in the long run .. good thing too since now they are in discussion with 2 other major manufacturers for new perm. coasters on the fairgrounds once again (1 steel, 1 wood) Still it's a goofy looking ride .. don't know if I would of liked seeing that on the property.
  10. Silver Dollar City has the policy with certain smoking areas, and Holiday World's was great. Personally as a non-smoker, I prefer non-smoking areas, but alot of the parks we visit people still blaze up in line and don't care as well as most of the employees.
  11. Key chains, maps mainly .. have an ever growing collection of theme park tickets and parking passes now tho.
  12. I like the Grand Floridian ... so nice, although the Animal Kingdom Lodge looks really nice as well.
  13. Yeah and trying to hold on is a bad idea too .. your hands start to hurt after a while .. or maybe it was just because it was 34 degrees out last time I rode Joyland's
  14. Phantom's Revenge or Jack Rabbit ... Wildfire at SDC has some amazing floating airtime in the back left seat .. the seat of doom!
  15. The ride was removed because the turn-around was outside the park and they had a number of issues with people getting into the park for free and some complaints with kids throwing things at people, the Rattler had nothing to do with the removal.
  16. And the strip mall in front .. maybe then they wouldn't of had to remove the skyride.
  17. Not like they have alot to work with, just hope the Rock-O-Plane doesn't go anywhere or the cool bumper cars
  18. Next coaster I ride will prolly be something at Adventure City, unless we hit SFOT opening day next Saturday.
  19. Yeah why would tehy remove a ride they installed last year? Pay for it then remove it .. makes no sense. Hopefully they sold the skyride, it was for sale last year as they told us at Spring Con, and yes I think they more or less will put the tower in the Rattler helix, the owners during my tour inside the helix said they would really like something there. That's where we though the Coyote Howl was going to go at first.
  20. Is it a shame the last coaster I rode was Face/Off at PKI ... *shivers*
  21. Atheist describes me .. stuck in the Bible Belt too ..
  22. Mr. Six's Pandemonium .. clear winner right there.
  23. Bad Religion Social Distortion Descendents Rise Against No Use Lagwagon Reverend Horton Heat The Explosion Green Day .. too many to name
  24. Believe it or not, its was Flashback! at SFOT (Vekoma Boomerang) .. I was terrified of coasters, got paid to ride it .. and loved it. Rest is history I guess. Scary to think a Vekoma insipired me .. although this was when it was rather new still .. 1993/1994ish
  25. Not a huge fan of Beer but: Guiness Shiner Bock (sorry only in Texas, well Bell's on Tulsa has it too)
