  1. Woo gas going down a bit here 87: $2.04 89: $2.14 93: $2.24 Getting better .. still liked it better at $0.94/gallon
  2. State Fair of Texas (Fair Park) Sandy Lake Amusement Park Belmont Park SeaWorld San Diego Paramount's Carowinds Aquarena Springs Kemah Boardwalk Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and old Seven Seas Amusement Park Playland Park (Home of the Rocket, now Phoenix)
  3. Those were fun, now if I could only find cheap airfare to Paris.
  4. Oh I forgot to add .. check out the woodland creature blown into the sign. Poor little squirrel .. I think
  5. Was Powder Keg, now that I've ridden it and love it, I'm looking forward to ShieKra and Hades, everything else seems kinda blah .. except the Europe ones, but I'm not planning on going there this year so I don't count those.
  6. Well yeah, and the fact it's SDC .. never been dissapointed by that park, food alone is worth the drive .. well that and the rides and some people. Already planning on going back in a few weeks after Dollywood/PCW/SFOG trip.
  7. Ok so random trip, 430 miles there and 430 miles back all for Powder Keg. So we got to Branson from Dallas area around 7pm after fighting some traffic somewhere in Arkansas and Branson. Got our season passes at Celebration City and hit the park for Wildcat. Love this ride, running a tad slower than last year, but it's still early in the year. Saw the new nightime show "Nightfire" hit Dennys after and waited an hour and half for food, sucks when very few things are open after 10 in Branson. Next Day, Silver Dollar City, got our $5 Season Parking discount for preffered parking, and into the park at 9am. At 9:30am, we walked to Powder Keg for the second train out. Saw my woman at Powder Keg too, but this ride was well well worth the drive. Nice airtime and nice pacing, except the lift in the middle and after the drop there's not much but the overbank and brakes ... but otherwise, this is a great ride. After that messed around SDC more, more Wildfire and Powder Keg rides. Drive home was ok .. stopped for some photos of mountain people places and such. I love Powder Keg Vinegar taffy ... scary again Wildfire .. lovely mmm Boom! Yup .. scary mmm Ozark Wildcat
  8. Chik-fil-A bad .. wow ... it's one of my fav places .. had some bad experiences there, but the food is yummy so that makes up for it.
  9. I avoid BBQ places outside of Texas and Memphis .. just something not right with that .. but the fries thing always scared me up in Ohio and PA with the viniger on the fries .. but then again they looked at me wierd at PKI when I asked for some Ranch for my fries.
  10. Hmm yeah .. I know there's an Invertigo that's been moved alot in Europe .. I think it's on it's third or fourth home now. Why is it always the Vekoma's?
  11. Play Ice Hockey in the mornings and afternoons sometimes ... great wakeup when being slammed into the boards and glass at 6am.
  12. the top hat is so small .. looks odd ... how cute.
  13. I got the second incarnation of it .. or how about the Termite from Ken Perdersen's backyard .. although it met it's demise. Still think the NAD kiddie at Rye's Playland or anything at the Stricker's Grove park.
  14. Shouldn't Zonga count? It was a fairground coaster, so it's operated in several sites in Germany, SFAW and now SFMW .. I'd count that as most traveled .. or any fairground coaster .. but those are so hard to keep up with.
  15. I including Deja Vu's, although I do have one of the three at SFMM of all places!? Maybe my luck will change at SFOG in a few weeks ... oh and Zonga/Texas Tornado .. but that's just for me .. damn thing.
  16. The NAD kiddie coaster at Rye Playland, even during an event at the park they wouldn't let adults on .. sucks.
  17. I wasn't bashing S&S, frankly I love the ideas coming out of there and the rides .. except I know some issues with SWAT at SFAW and issues with Tower of Power at SFOT that made me think of other reasons not to like them very much. I think it's dumb for parks to purchase prototypes before they are fully tested and dumb of manufacturers to sell prototpyes before they are fully tested. One thing S&S has done alot in the past. But then again, it's more on S&S for selling the rides before they were fully tested and proven. Saves alot of money to hold on on selling until they have tested most of the bugs out .. bugs creep up all the time anyway.
  18. Yeah I understand the Chik-fil-A religious thing, but still think they aer stupid and missing out on one of the busiest times of the week. We have this Mexican Food place near us that was closed on Sundays, due to the family being extremely Catholic, they started opening on sundays and do their best business, the ownsers relizaed they were missing out on tons of profits ... but with that being said, I bet PKD and PKI are outsoucring to get the food from them, so hopefully they will be open on Sundays.
  19. Famous CP fries? Am I missing something ... didn't know CP had any decent food .. except for that Buffet place near the front of the park .. that was actually very tasty.
  20. Seasonal Employees I highly doubt they would make them sign any non-disclosure agreement .. full-time employees like I was at Six Flags, you do sign one .. since we were exposed to all sorts of information and budgets.
  21. That's one thing .. I bet the prices are jacked up at Chik-fil-A as well .. but still .. if I go on a Sunday, I want Chik-fil-A ! About the religious thing .. the other day at the one by our apartment, the manager said "God Bless You" when we were walking away from the counter .. it just didn't sit well with us .. kinda creepy.
  22. Now I wonder is the Chik-Fil-A inside PKD closed on Sunday as well? Cause I assume it would be, but I assume the theme park wouldn't want closed locations, however Sundays are usually light traffic anyway.
  23. Oh how could I forget, Holiday World's Pizza and Fudge ... my god I love that Fudge.
  24. Maybe they axed it since they can't get it to operate at the other two parks properly .. I like SWAT at SFAW .. but please, you'd think by now they'd have a resolution to the issues. I thought the Fun Center was supposed to have one of every S&S Flats and possibly a Screamin' Squirrel, I have seen the Sky Sling setup and what looks like the first skycoaster from S&S since their pruchase of Skycoaster Inc.
  25. Wonder if the new one at the S&S Family Fun Center will experience the same issues .. I know they are supposed to install one.
