  1. 2017 announcement coming soon? Looks like it won't be anything big, unfortunately. Maybe it'll be a flat ride package.
  2. I feel like "waiting on a part" is complete BS. S&S isn't exactly the busiest manufacturer these days so it's not like they're backlogged on orders and I'm sure they'd do all they could to get this new coaster model operational in a timely fashion. I blame the crappy Miler. Oh, and yeah, I know, don't pass judgement on the Miler until I've ridden it, yadda yadda yadda. It's a Miler. It's gonna blow.
  3. ^ Interesting. They've managed to rip off Disney's Soarin' design while simultaneously removing the only part of the design that made it fun, the "lift-off" track. Oh, yeah, in case anyone didn't know by now (I've certainly made it known more often than not), I really, really, really, REALLY hate Soarin' and want it to die a painful death.
  4. So what you're saying is Disney will build the entirety of Marvel Land underground...
  5. Oh, deary dear. You've not been around much, have you? I mean, don't get me wrong, Coal Cracker is fun and it's definitely better than many log flumes out there, but best ever or even close to being one of the best? Not even a little bit.
  6. ^ You need to be more specific. I feel like you're seriously underestimating how much materials cost for building things. If you're doing this in an open room and are just worried about having some people hide, then no problem. If you want to build walls and set up scenes then it gets very expensive very fast. Can you elaborate more on your ideas so we can better assist? Or just PM me and I can tell you whether you're off your rocker or not. I'm the Technical Director and Scenic Designer for a major theatre in the Philadelphia area, by the way, so I've got a good idea on materials costs.
  7. "Authentic Belgian Waffle with a French Touch" So...not Belgian?
  8. ^ Only happened once, AFAIK. Also it was at Magic Mountain so it was for the best, really.
  9. Can't tell if they're selling VR haunts or VR porn. Or both for those weird fetish people.
  10. You're really missing the point of the themeing there. It's meant to be a Hollywood backlot (like the name, derp) and therefore wouldn't have completed buildings, just facades (the stuff that would be on camera) with structural components (that wouldn't be on camera) exposed. You should come for a backstage tour of my theatre. You'd be shocked to see what the sets look like on the side the audience doesn't see. Also, regarding your complaint of where they're spending money, a huge E-ticket attraction brings people to the park. Rethemeing an area that's already themed the way they intended does not. ElecTRONica and Mad Tea Party proved that. Yeah, it got some locals to crowd the place for booze options after work but it was overall a detriment to the Disney experience which, thankfully, they're now working towards improving.
  11. I count one good coaster there, buddy boy.
  12. Sheesh, OJ's police chase was the same way. Why can't LA get the good stuff?
  13. Great to hear they had a 1/3rd attendance boost! That's insane for a regional park!
  14. See y'all later. I'm too busy planning my vacation to England.
  15. ^ I'm saying #2. Also my general thoughts on VR rides, they're a #2.
  16. ^ I mean they are partners with S&S for their 4D track...
  17. Someone said they were ripping out track in the station, as of yesterday. Both of y'all missed the joke on that one.
  18. Understatement of the century. X2 is the most out of the way coaster I've ever seen. I'd swear the original queue for Dueling Dragons is shorter than the walk to get to X2.
  19. Well, you're more than welcome to NOT post here just as much as you are welcome TO post here. So if you don't like our forum idiosyncrasies and are going to be an annoying whiny little bitch about them, feel free to pack up your bags and post somewhere else! You won't be missed. How's THAT for a welcome to the community? Wait till he sees all the YOLOing.
  20. Look, we can either talk about the trucks or the boats. Which one would you really choose?
  21. ^ Even though I live in Pennsylvania I kinda want to buy a season pass just in case I end up by the Baltic Sea in 2017. Karnan alone is worth a weekend trip.
  22. ^ I hope not. Those videos make it look either WAY too complicated for a flying coaster or way too simplistic for a new dark ride concept.
