  1. OzIris. It was just boring. I had to tell Robb after filming the ridercam that, while I tried my hardest, I just couldn't look excited to be on it because it was that bad.
  2. I'm not sure who that is in the second row, but they're either extremely terrified or hopped up on ecstasy...
  3. Black Mamba! That thing was way too much fun. Sure as hell blew OzIris out of the water, hahaha. I have fond memories from the Italy/Europe 2012 trip, specifically filming ridercam with Robb while sitting next to Ken who was still drunk from the exploits in the Dragon Bar the night before. Good times!
  4. No way. SmarteCart might jump ship, but Six Flags will just install a different locker system. They'll never go back to the station bins or switch to free lockers.
  5. I saw that. I was just curious about it in general. You mentioned it was infamous, haha. Any history on it?
  6. I want to meet the team that designed this ride. I want to meet them and get blood samples. Then I want a full blood test. Only then can we know for sure what kind of alien-created drugs these guys were on.
  7. Bickity bam! Random update bump! Who wants to see some Magma 2 Onride?! First ride of the day for Magma 2 and it was a complete TPR Takeover. Come for the Italian madness, stay for the commentary throughout! LET THE MAGMA...FLOW! PS - Yeah, I know I kinda suck at text intros. I'm way better with a microphone, haha.
  8. Hiya! I was waiting for an official TPR Europe 2012 thread to come about, but this vid has been sitting on my hard drive and needs to be seen. This comes from our arrival at Walygator. Terry gives the group the boost we needed to survive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gJZq3AAvPk&feature=youtu.be
  9. Dollywood on November 10th. First time visiting and it's opening day for Smoky Mountain Christmas!
  10. Deep Fried Pizza and a 10K in the same trip report. Now that's something I never expected to see, haha.
  11. Thanks for that update! I was wondering about that "V" coaster from the original post, though. I can't find any information on it via Google. Can someone fill me in?
  12. Disneyland Paris' Rock N' Roller Coaster. It really shows how a complete change of themeing style can bring a ride from "good" to "OMG AMAZING!" Seriously, ride the one in Orlando, then ride the one in Paris. They're the same ride, but Paris' is sooooooo much better.
  13. I would swear I'm the only one left alive who LOVES Ghost Rider. I rode it for the first time in March 2011 (first ever visit to SoCal) and rode that thing at least 10 times switching between the front and back rows. I never found it to be overly rough or slow. It was an old-school rough and tumble woodie. It let you know who was in charge but didn't kill you, kind of like Wildcat at Hershey. Also, the airtime in the backseat coming off of the mid-course was terrifying.
  14. iSpeed. While the launch of out of date for Intamin standards (it uses LIM or LSM instead of the pneumatic system), it is still pretty intense. The ride that follows? Fantastic. It is twisted beyond belief, a good length, and has the scariest arm/headchopper moment I have ever encountered.
  15. The interior of Temple Of The No-Hawk at Phantasialand. Seriously, though, a lot of Phantasialand has excellent themeing. The same goes for Europa. I'm gonna say my favorite, though, would be the Frontierland section of Disneyland Paris. The way they incorporated Big Thunder and Phantom Manor together into their own story is genius. There is an entire backstory that pulls the whole section of the park together that doesn't exist at other Disney parks. They took the time to give the area a life rather than just match the aesthetic. Things like that really complete the experience.
  16. Batman at Great Adventure. It's still as intense as ever, probably even more so. That thing managed to give me a blackout last time I rode it this year.
  17. Also, a private buyout of City Museum?! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!
  18. I pooped a little from excitement. I may go in for both Texas/Midwest and mini-UK, but that depends on airfare to the UK. I'm definitely going to do one, though.
  19. I think that's mainly because people were expecting something bigger after the other Intamin launchers. Rita, at the time, seemed underwhelming in the wake of something like Storm Runner. While I haven't ridden Rita, I have ridden its clone, Desert Race, at Heide Park. I love the damn thing. It's compact, twisty, fast, and fun! Sure, it's not a huge ride, it isn't super long, but it gives you a great adrenaline rush and pulls some big forces in a tiny footprint. Even though it was raining during our ERT I still rode that thing a ton. My eyes stung a lot, but it was still great.
  20. It's actually Carnival Liberty which is a Conquest class stitched with a Fantasy class ship. Touche, sir. The Liberty is the upper half (Conquest Class) and the Fantasy Class is where the waterpark comes in. You're right. The waterpark on Fantasy Class is in the aft section of the ship while on Dream class it is midship Lido.
  21. I'll just paste my review of House Of Shock in New Orleans from Reddit and Yelp here.
  22. ^ It doesn't. That's an image glitch. It's two images taken at two separate times stitched together. The upper half of the ship is facing east for one picture, the lower half is facing west for the other. The line between Google Maps sattelite images just happens to fall right on the perfect point to create that illusion, hahaha. That's one of Carnival's Dream Class ships, fyi.
