  1. IT'S A NEW DIGGERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Two months til Scandi. Can't wait!
  3. That's what I've been saying for the past two years. Blue Fire scared the hell out of me with the airtime. It isn't traditional airtime. Let me explain - Airtime by any other manufacturer is there as a pop or a float of different intensity. We can all agree to that. However, it never really feels very dangerous. Mack, however, thanks to their track design and, I'm guessing, mostly their train design, have summoned otherworldly forces to follow the train around, grab the passengers, and try to forcibly remove them from the train. If you want the clearest explanation of what I'm talking about, ride Blue Fire and wait until the final barrel roll. You will need new underpants.
  4. Oh, Jaws, you are missed dearly. Why can't Universal go back to building practical rides rather than all these digital experiences now? Sure the new rides are fun but they're nowhere near as memorable as the likes of Jaws, Kongfrontation, Earthquake, Ghostbusters, etc.
  5. Indoor wooden launched invert shooting gallery?
  6. It will never be as balls-to-the-wall insane as the Action Park I remember from my youth. It remains the best waterpark I've ever been to mainly because I managed to stay alive and uninjured, as did the rest of my family. The sheer lunacy of the place was unheard of and I really miss it. Don't get me wrong. The place was plagued by horrific operations and a ludicrous disregard for safety and it is a damn good thing it no longer exists. I can still admire the creativity of the attractions. As I recall there was only one slide tower than was store-bought. The rest of the slides were designed and built in-house and made fantastic use of the mountain terrain. It was truly unique and was one of the largest influences in my life that got me so interested in amusement parks. Good riddance, but I miss it!
  7. First Chiapas, now this. Is there anything else big happening in Germany that would make my decision to go back so soon any easier? Oh, who am I kidding. Europa alone is worth the trip back.
  8. ^ You can play Candy Crush on the lift hill.
  9. Thanks for the help guys, but we're not going tomorrow. Dodge a bullet there, haha. The girlfriend has a pinched nerve in her neck and can barely turn her head left to right without it hurting a lot. Rollercoasters won't do her any favors, haha. Thanks for the info, though! I'm sure it was useful to someone!
  10. Against my better judgements, and because I must subconsciouly hate myself, I'm probably going to Magic Mountain tomorrow. From what I can gather, spring break doesn't hit the town until next week, so we should theoretically be fine for crowds. X2 will be first, followed by Full Throttle. After that it'll be a fight to find any ride running two or more trains. Any tips for this hopeless adventure? I'll be sure to return with my ever so kind words about this dreadful place and pictures.
  11. ^ You could always check on the website. You're lucky that I just did, though $130 for gold, $190 for Platinum, $80 for regular.
  12. ^ That's probably the most elaborate version of the floating faucet illusion I've seen. You know, until Animal Kingdom opens Avatar land with the same type of construction, just on an even larger scale.
  13. ^ Doesn't matter, still awesome. [youtu_be]http://youtu.be/vAvMkZQBIXk[/youtu_be]
  14. This is what Scott Pilgrim thinks of this thread: And Jesse Pinkman.
  15. All three of those are Saturdays. You're pretty much screwed with any.
  16. ^^ That's excellent! The lifts are extremely fast, as well as the switch tracks! In all it seems fairly mild but I don't doubt that I'd have the biggest smile on my face the entire time! Edit - Also, random dance party room with lasers and a disco ball. Awesome.
  17. ^ It doesn't help you at Magic Mountain. Nothing can help you.
  18. Magic Mountain. If I were locked in a room with Magic Mountain, Hitler, and a gun with two bullets, I'd shoot Magic Mountain twice.
  19. Yolo might have two trains. Revolution, Riddler's Revenge, and Viper will have one train. Green Lantern will have 20 minute dispatches. Lex Luthor will have 10 minute dispatches. Also it's the heart of Spring Break season. Get there before opening, go straight to X2. You'll still wait 45 minutes for X2 regardless if you're the first person in line, but it'll be better than 5 hours later in the day. For the rest of your day, I recommend praying.
  20. I've always enjoyed standups. The B&M standups are all from an era when they still gave a crap about making a thrilling ride! Riddler, Green Lantern, Mantis, Vortex, etc, they're all old school and very well laid out. None of them (that I know of) are cookie cutter layouts and they snake around a whole lot, which I love. If B&M were to make a standup this year it would be swooping turns, floaty hills, a few inversions taken extremely slow, etc. AKA, boring.
  21. I really want to get back to Phantasialand. Black Mamba came out of nowhere and is my favorite invert (haven't ridden Nemesis yet), Maus Au Chocolate is a MUCH better take on Toy Story Mania's system, the wave swinger with the fountains is great, Hollywood Tour is the best dark ride on earth, Mystery Castle is an adult sized Frog Hopper from hell, River Quest sends you over at least three vertical waterfalls, Winjas is in a class all it's own, and now this. Phantasialand is awesome.
  22. ^ I'm wary of unfortunate typos with Diggerland. I enjoyed looking through that list. I was unaware of Cincetta World, though! Now I have an excuse to get back to Rome. Hopefully Rainbow Magicland will have some more shade by then!
  23. Yep, I need to get back to Phantasialand sometime soon. If only to ride Hollywood Tour again.
