  1. I'm curious how you came to mention Paris. The latest data I can find is from 2020 and Paris is ranked 17th in most visited parks in the world. Disneyland is number 12 with over 1.5 million more annual visitors. In 2019, a normal year pre-covid, Disneyland (rank #2 on earth) had almost DOUBLE the attendance of Paris (rank #17, unchanged). Tokyo, Shanghai, even friggin Chimelong Ocean Kingdom are ranked higher than Paris. At least in the NFL you get first draft pick for being the worst. Six Flags gets Larson Loops.
  2. CP has been groomed for decades to be a destination park, not a regional park. People travel from all over the world to visit that place. When was the last time some yahoo from Burma came to Kansas City to visit Worlds Of Fun?
  3. I swear every post I see from you kills more brain cells in my head. Also, for the love of all that is holy, use the multiquote.
  4. I said "top cities for disposable income." KC is a large city, yes, but it's also quite impoverished and blue collar.
  5. It is physically impossible for Six Flags to cycle rides less than they were.
  6. No, for the same reason nobody expects a park like Darien Lake, Great Escape, Adventuredome, etc, to get some massive coaster. They're not in major markets and they perform well enough to remain profitable. If the bean counters saw that a $20 million coaster would have an ROI of $20,000,001 over the next five years then they will change their tune. Now if you know some way to make Kansas City suddenly become one of the top cities in the country for disposable income, I welcome you to contact the powers that be at Cedar Fair and have a blast with your pitch meeting. I don't think that's gonna happen, though.
  7. Alright, I've been busy as hell with a huge concert tour (K-pop, Seventeen, come see it, there's explosions and flamethrowers) so I've been a bit out of the loop. I'm on a day off in a rainy Houston, though, so here's my input - Y'all people complaining about this coaster are goddamn morons. The media they've released make it look like a great mid-size woodie and the POV convinced me to finally visit WoF for the first time next season. You goofy bastards need to calm way down.
  8. Ride. The. Bumper. Cars. Ride them. Ride them again. Repeat until your wallet runs dry. Go the to ATM.
  9. I swear the more I learn about the economy the more I realize it's mafia economics all the way down.
  10. ^ Considering the prices they're charging for Scary Farm overnights they damn well better be.
  11. I've been told that Saturday night is alright for fighting, alright alright?
  12. This is the only acceptable station song.
  13. We're flying into Jersey to visit family in October so I looked into doing a Fright Fest night at the park. I think I found the attendance issue. Single day tickets are ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Now, I don't know about y'all, but there isn't a single Six Flags park in history or future that is worth that price. Edit - Looks like they changed their pricing in the summer, but still, $75 on a Saturday is just dumb for this park. I know Six Flags is pushing the memberships hard because every bean counter loves subscriptions but when inflation and gas is so out of control they're gonna be hard-pressed to get customers from NY and Philly to make the trek.
  14. Rawr, kitty's got claws. Sorry for the butthurt.
  15. Those idiots moved to reddit. That sub is frightening.
  16. Does it still submerge? I saw a POV from a year or two ago and the boat didn't make a large splash anymore on that dinky little hill. I remember it used to literally go underwater and the boat turned into a pool.
  17. ^ At first glance I thought it was a solar farm. Yikes.
  18. I gotta say, as a fairly new father one of the benefits of bringing a child in a stroller to a park is the ability to drop all my loose articles with my wife and the stroller while I ride, then swap. I haven't taken a second glance at a locker in 15 months.
  19. ^ They finally got a color printer with their 2022 budget and goddammit they're gonna use it!
  20. Buena Park gonna keep being Buena Park. I won't even stay in a hotel by the park anymore because the shady characters have gotten out of control in the past few years. Practically every hotel within walking distance is a dump these days, anyway, and god help you if you stay at the Rodeway Inn or Colony Inn (unless you're looking for crack, in which case jackpot).
