  1. Probably the more popular rides will be 1+ hour. Less popular rides 30-45 minutes. Rough estimate at least. If you're going late June I'd highly suggest you stay at a Cedar Point resort and take advantage of early entry. That way you can ride stuff like Millenium Force and Maverick before the lines get long. Dragster you'll just have to suck up and wait a couple hours for. Cross your fingers that it doesn't break down before you get on.
  2. While they're at it they can just take the old King Cobra trains and put them on SoB.
  3. Reformat and install WinXP? Sorry I don't have a better answer for you, but everything I read shows that Vista is a pile of crap and really should not be installed at all.
  4. I go every year that weekend as that weekend is the May long weekend in Canada. The crowds are hard to predict. I've had busy days in the past, and I've had empty days in the past. You should probably expect a happy medium. Probably lines of 30 minutes to an hour for rides like MF and TTD. 15 to 30 minutes for the rest. Maverick I won't try to predict a line. But honestly it all comes down to the weather. If it's a nice warm May day there could be some decent days. But if it's rainy, or super cold the park will be deserted.
  5. Sorry, only two lifts on Dragons Fury. Not sure where I thought the third one was. I tossed a quick POV up. DF POV You can see the lifts are pretty quick. I'm sure the Gurtlaur spinning will be similiar to the Maurer. Regardless they're not going to be long lift hills like on a full train coaster. It won't be a top coaster, but it will be a fun family coaster most likely.
  6. I've always found they dig into your waist way too much. In other words, they suck in every way possible.
  7. Dragons Fury has 3 lifts and it's a pretty damn good ride Different type of spinner I know, but the last two lifts on it don't take long at all. You just zip right along them. So even though this has multiple lifts you might barely notice them. I think it has promise of being a decent ride though. Not that it's actually going to draw me to Edmonton anymore then before though.
  8. ^ No amount of re tracking is going to save that ride.
  9. I thought Blue Streak was already an ACE coaster landmark??
  10. ^ How many lawsuits in the united states actually make sense?
  11. I beg to differ. G-Trains have a horrid design if you're tall. When I sit in G-trains my knee's basically press against a fiberglass ridge. Which hurts like hell when the train shakes and smokes my knees into that ridge. I simply shudder what that would feel like on SoB.
  12. I was talking about iMacs, etc. If Macs really "owned" MS, then they'd outsell PCs. Which they don't come even close to doing. The "quality" argument is subjective. But you can't argue that Apple is better financially because it simply isn't.
  13. I'd like a rock that can break glass.
  14. I hate people who can't understand that some people don't need a $2,000 Mac that won't do anything better then a $400 PC. (considering that not everyone needs to use photoshop, video editing, video chat, etc).
  15. With the exception of S&S those companies ar all over seas companies. It's easier and cheaper to sue domestic companies then try and deal with international laws. They will probably get a settlement out of the American companies, but would have a much harder time if they were to try and sue Intamin in Sweden, etc.
  16. Don't visit England then. Probably end up knocking someone out after they ask you if you'd like to smoke a fag. (which would actually refer to a cigarette)
  17. The only reason I would ride SOB now is to cash in on the settlement after those G-trains break both my knee caps. I got my bet on <1 year. It'll probably end up SBNO part way through the season once Cedar Fair finds out how much it's costing to maintain it. And they thought Mean Streak was expensive to maintain.
  18. Dibs on the pellet gun. There'll be a big tip for you Bob if you shoot Ryan with it a bunch of times first.
  19. A Pro-Slide Tornado would hardly take the internet by storm. Those things are as dime a dozen now as skycoasters. Nearly every park has one. CF over hypes everything, so I wouldn't be waiting too anxiously to find out what this rumour is about.
  20. Or a seasonal park. A wooden coaster really can use the few months of downtime needed for a full off season refurb. Closing the ride for a couple weeks here and there just isn't enough.
  21. How does that have homosexual connotations? Just because something is a "man's night" doesn't automatically mean it's going to be an orgy night. Or are you just speaking from personaly experience Barry?
  22. Just because we're thrill "buffs" doesn't mean we're sado masochists. The ride was painful, and it sucked. So I'm glad it's gone. I'm not afraid to ride anything. But if it hurts like hell and produces a crappy ride I'm not going to go out of my way to ride it again.
  23. Actually, it depends on the business. My employer, being a utility company, isn't allowed to deny service to anyone, by law. If we offer a service in the customer's area, we have to sell it to them. No matter how annoying they are. I do agree that this is a pretty silly issue to get worked up about. It's just a pool. That's why I said "within reason". I know there are exceptions. If the pool had a "no muslims day" THAT would be racist.
  24. No, that is not the better word. This has nothing to do with discrimination. Is it discrimination when people not on the TPR trips are excluded from ERT? Is it discrimination when they won't let me into a hockey game even though I don't have a ticket? Is it discrimination when they won't let me into a women only gym? Business's are free to limit their customers as they see fit. Within reason of course. though this case doesn't come close to offensive.
