  1. ^ The first couple laps on that ride were alright. Then it sped up, and the lapbar started to dig into my thigh. I think that was Lou's payback for crushing her on the scrambler earlier in the day.
  2. If Paramount still owned the park I'd say this was the long rumoured footloose floorless coaster.
  3. ^ It's a figure of speech. "square wheels" refers to when a coaster gets rough and starts to vibrate.
  4. That's not a B&M problem, it's a parks maintenance problem. There's plenty of B&Ms out there which are quite old, and yet are still smooth as the year they opened. Then there's other B&Ms that in one year develop square wheels, like Scream at SFMM.
  5. ^ The average person around here doesn't even know Goliath exists.
  6. 8 days at DLR? That seems like overkill.
  7. ^^ I realize that. I was just pointing out that it could be any number of types. Wasn't suggesting B&M was bringing back a bad fad. ^ "Canada has never seen anything like it" is kind of vague. It could easilly end up being a 175 foot hyper and Cedar Fair could still hype it as "never before seen in Canada".
  8. It could be a stand up for all we know. Stand up, invert, floorless, hyper, they all use similar track and supports. One piece which is most likely a turn out of a station won't give you any clues. Dive coasters use a slightly larger track, so it's probably not that though.
  9. ^ Is it a Canon? I had a very similar problem with a Canon A85. Sent it in for warranty, and the water spot went away. There's still a massive pile of candy wrappers on the floor of my car.
  10. It looks familiar because both are B&Ms. That hardly proves that it's an invert.
  11. ^ That's exactly what I said. I was only joking when I told Lou to bring her weather along with her.
  12. It was nice meeting you. That day was alot of fun, although hot. I too got hopped up on those candies during my long drive home.
  13. That would be the jack holding the car up. That quote is going to haunt me forever. The best was the conversation with the Fargo-esque AAA lady. Me: "I'm standing in front of a distance sign. It says 9 miles till Warrens" CAA Lady: "Warrens, Michigain??" Me: "No!! Wisconsin!!" Seriously lady, we were like 600 miles from Michigan.
  14. That's pretty much the reason CF uses to hype anything as "new".
  15. No. But people in Ohio seem to forget that Maverick is not the first to have a 95 degree drop.
  16. Go to the parks official website. Look at the teaser images. Looks like it's setup to change as the project goes forward. Looks like someone just pulled all of the images that are posted to the site, but not linked. Oh and about the "Canada has never seen this before" don't read too much into that. Cedar Fair's hype machine will spin anything as "new". Maverick was hyped as being the first of it's kind, and yet nothing on that ride was new. Plus, if Marineland can advertise Dragon Mountain as the worlds largest coaster, then Wonderland can advertise it's new coaster as "never seen before".
  17. ^ Mean Streak it is. Enjoy.
  18. ^ Sounds like the average toboggan ride. I managed to fit into Lakemont's toboggan easier then I did Conneauts. After seeing the pics of Americka's, I think Lakemont's is missing that super padding that Conneaut and Americka have.
  19. At least Finger 11 is awesome though.
  20. That kid is going to be beaten up growing up.
  21. ^ Huge difference. SROS at SFNE blows DL's and SFA's versions out of the water. SFA's SROS is still a good ride, it's just that SFNE's is that much better.
  22. I thought we were going to sink that boat on Log Jammer. Not sure how we fit the four of us in there. That Noahs Ark totally knocked me on my ass. One second I was about to take a picture of that gorilla. Then it felt like the world was turned upside down. Went to brace myself against the wall only to find nothing but air.
  23. ^ Too bad we didn't actually get to hang out at Kennywood. Just seemed like our paths didn't cross.
  24. Yes. After calling MS support, they ship you a box within 5 business days. You then send the console back to MS in that box, 10-14 business days you get a refurb console. You don't send the hard drive with the console itself, so your game saves remain inact. The flaw in the 360 is related to the clamp that holds the heat sink onto the CPU and GPU. That clamp fails, which pops the heat sinks off, thus killing the console. No amount of cooling is going to get the console to work at that point.
  25. ^^ Most of my navigational blunders occur at night. Like on the way in Friday night when I stopped at a rest area only to realize that I had forgetten that Ted did not live directly off of I-79, and that I had cruised right past my exit. Though it wasn't that big of a deal, as I had only gone a few miles past. Though getting to Lakemont was prety easy directions wise. Even if I had no idea where I was when you called.
