JZ's Ongoing Kings Island Update Thread!
Carnage replied to PKI Jizzman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Does your firefox die when trying to load streaming videos in the video forum? If so, there's a WMP update that fixes that problem. Firefox use to crash all the time for me, but stopped once I installed the WMP fix. -

I don't think you understand how streaming works. TPR doesn't use WMP. Streaming video is handled by your PC. So your PC is using WMP to stream the videos. TPR is the server. The client applcation has to figure out how to handle the feed. -
Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread

^ Well Wilson could have been Jessie from Full House as well. I mean they never showed his full face and all. -
Only if you walk in wearing a Richard Nixon mask and carrying an empty sack with a giant dollar sign on it.

^ At least at HW though they've got a place to store all your stuff. The ride ops even take your bags, etc from you and place it in the bins for you. They also have actually locking lockers that you can use for something more valuable. I think it's free, though I never had the need to use one. -
I used to eat lunch at 11am every day. So I'd get to work and eat lunch a couple hours later. Though I tend to eat later now, as it makes the afternoon go by quicker. Eating lunch at 11am just makes the rest of the day feel like it's dragging.

Video - Xcelerator 100mph launch???
Carnage replied to Crazy4Coasters!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There is no way for the computer to "accidentally" ramp up the launch. The speeds they were testing Xcelerator at would have been fatal. All they were doing was testing what the hydraulic motor could do. -
Cedar Fair Maxx Pass
Carnage replied to Top Thrill Dragster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Any non-Cedar Point Maxx pass is eligible for early entry. Cedar Point passes are the only one's that require joe cool. The lady at guest relations told me my CW Maxx pass was valid for early entry. -

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on what kind of mood the employee is in. I was turned away from MF once because I had a small camera pouch attached to my belt. Even though it was physically connected to my belt the op made me get a locker. They will sometimes tell you that only official fanny packs are allowed in line. It really does change from employee to employee and day to day. -

I just never bring any loose articles to Cedar Point as they are not consistant. The level of enforcement changes from year to year, or even month to month. A couple years ago they wouldn't let you in any line with loose articles. Even Power Tower. I saw people throwing stuffed animals onto the ground after getting denied into Magnums line. Even though you might be able to bring those cups into some lines on a certain day, you never know if they will crack down on a different day. -

I'm sure the launch is capable of well over 100mph. Doesn't mean you'd actually survive it though. -

I don't know an official number, but I always heard approx -6 Gs mentioned when they test launched it over 100mph. -
Awesome TR Cameron. I miss SDC, that parks just rocks. As good as Ozark Wildcat is, I was actually pretty let down with CC. Though it could have been due to SDC being soooo good, that something less then perfect just stands out that much more.

Should Rosie O'Donnell host "The Price Is Right?"
Carnage replied to CoastersNSich's topic in Random, Random, Random
No Bob Barker, no Price is Right. Just put the show out of it's misery along with the Simpsons. Rosie hosting The Price is Right would be an insult to it's history. -

I pretty much only ride it when someone needs the credit. The masochist in me can't help but stick around to see the look of hatred on their faces as they get off the ride. Those volaires just plain suck. -

Blame Cedar Fair. Seems the ex-Paramount passes scan just fine at all the ex-Paramount parks. But the CF parks are a few steps behind. That was a really fun couple of days. You even managed to get a few photos of the paparazzi themselves. -
Wait, Elissa is the one tha runs the site?? I thought Elissa was the british girl that keeps popping up in the updates?? So who's the Brit chick then?

More rides, more trees, more stores, more food ... MiA is just a flat piece of concrete with a couple mediocre rides thrown on top. -
^ That's a good point in general. However the poster who is asking for advice is from Spain, and will be coming to Canada to study English. So he wouldn't get into Canada itself without having a passport.

I tip my hat to you sir. Awesome TR!!
