  1. ^^ What does that have to do with Steel Venom??
  2. Probably about as painful as me doing a complete circle around Pittsburgh on my way back to your place from Idlewild.
  3. Thanks for letting me crash at your place. It was a great weekend. Everything went perfectly. Got all the credits I was planning on getting, and didn't get terribly lost. Probably the opposite of the previous weekend where everything seemed to go wrong.
  4. Don't bother with the towel trick. If you get the red rings of death, just send the console back to MS to be replaced. I just got mine back the other day. Sure it sucks to be without a system for a month, but at least you should get a working one back.
  5. I guess the alcohol made him not notice the rock hard beds? I stayed at that Hojo once, and realized that close to the causeway doesn't mean the hotel will be better. At least with BE you know what to expect. I don't trust any of the other hotels in the area. Too many of them are complete crap.
  6. Nope, it's really easy. Just tell the employee at the left toll booth that you're going to soak city, and follow perimiter road. The Soak city lot is pretty obvious, it's right beside Gemini and Magnum, with the entrance to the park right by Magnum.
  7. Well all hotels are going to have bad experiences from time to time. But personally, I'd say that the chances of a bad experience at the CP resorts are much less then the normal hotels in Sandusky. Sandusky hotels can be very hit or miss. And it's hard to tell which are nice, and which are complete dumps.
  8. ^ Not quite that simple. Make sure you go to the very left toll booth. Tell them you're going to soak city or challenge park. They'll then let you go back around perimeter road to the soak city lot. If you just go to a normal toll booth they're going to funnel you into the main lot.
  9. What does that have to do with anything?
  10. Where did you read that? I don't stay anywhere other then Breakers Express, and have had no complaints. It's affordable, clean, nice, and gets you into the park an hour early. I've stayed there many times, and have never had a bad experience.
  11. Gemini is a shadow of it's former self. It seems to never race anymore. Even when both sides are running, one side tends to be a few train lengths ahead. It used to be awesome riding Gemini in the early 90s. Lots of hand slapping between trains, and the trains were always neck and neck. But it hasn't been like that in years.
  12. ^ That's one website. Compared to the countless threads that follow anything that Cedar Point does. All you have to do is look at this forum to see what I mean. Where's the Canadas Wonderland construction thread? There isn't one, other then a few posts in the rumor thread. Because not that many people notice, or really care what CW is doing.
  13. This construction is nothing like Maverick. First of all, this construction is not starting early. It's starting at about the average time that 2008 projects start. And second, Canadas Wonderland isn't watched day in and day out by fanboys who will post on message boards the second any new construction takes place. This construction will have little buzz, and will be barely noticed. Now when the ride opens, I'm sure there will be a decent amount of hype. As for the most part the GP around here knows nothing about what a good coaster is like. But the construction itself, the people around here could really care less about.
  14. Great TR. Good to see Canaba is still represented well on these TPR trips. I was there for IB, and will also be at Kennywood this saturday.
  15. We probably lucked out riding Hades right after it opened. Avalanche seems to go faster then should be physically possible.
  16. ^ I think if you're staying at the on-point hotels that they reimburse your parking tolls.
  17. All but one of your construction pics are coming up as red X's. Now you're just taunting us.
  18. Neither are you it seems. What with opening a new thread after your original thread was locked for obvious reasons.
  19. ^ Yes. When you get to the parking booths go to the far left. Then either tell them you're going to soak city or challenge park. They'll then let you head back to the soak city lot.
  20. ^^ Liar!! Get back to work Lou!! *cracks whip*
  21. So you'd rather swim in water tainted by decomp unknowingly? At least if there was blood they would have noticed right away, and not left the body there decaying for 3 weeks while people swam in that water.
  22. Actually Paramount has been doing that at Wonderland for at least a couple years now. I think it's just a Canada's Wonderland thing.
  23. ^ As long as you have a ticket/season pass, then yes you can go between the hotel and park as you please.
  24. ^ Most internet spammers/con artists are.
  25. The Midwest trip officially starts today.
