I haven't even been able to find a place that sells postcards. Seems Waterloo, Ontario is hardly the tourist destination. Well, actually I did find some random store in the mall which sold random band postcards. But I didn't think AC/DC or Guns N' Roses would really scream "Canada".

To make it easier, if you're planning on meeting up and don't know anyone, just don't come alone. Bring a local friend or two, that way you have someone to hang out with for the day if you don't end up joining with an existing group. That way you could come out, meet some people, but don't have to worry about spending the day alone.

Technical difficulties, or the person did something bad for the camera. On most onride photos, the one's that are missing are the one's where someone gave the middle finger to the camera or something.

Parts per million is how I know PPM as. In engineering it's probably likely that's what it refers to as well. But we can only guess, as you're not telling us what the context is. How it's being used will determine what it means.

What do they do that is so shocking? They stand upright leaning over the front of the train, with their knees tucked in between the lap bar. That's how they greased the rails. Or at least that's how they used to do it. Probably not so much anymore. They show this in one of the Kennywood DVDs.

It's not nearly shocking as the Kennywood employees greasing the rails on Thunderbolt.

Just a guess, but red/yellow/blue are primary colours. So those three colours are probably easier to paint the track with, compared to secondary or tertiary colours. That could be a simple explanation for why you see more red/yellow/blue rides compared to like green or purple rides.

^ Unless "overhaul" means "flatten and rebuild" I doubt it's for Mean Streak. They wouldn't make a big fuss about something like that, as that happens every year. My best guess would be a GCI on the beach replacing Disaster Transport. Or an aquatrax.

Roller coasters today are built using much more advanced methods. The physics knowledge, and design tools used today are much more advanced then what would have existed in the 20s. How to properly bank turns, and the affect of Gforces on the body wouldn't have been known at the time. So although we have 400 footers now, the coasters of the 20s would probably give you an ass kicking that hardly exists today.
